Neutral Fall Vignette and Thrift Store Mirror Makoever

Hello all my décor enthusiast friends! If you are new around here, once a month I get together with a few blogging buddies to talk about décor. In the past we've shared our gallery walls, how we like to decorate using trays, tips for styling bookcases, and how we love to use baskets in our decor, just to name a few. We started this challenge last January by picking a space, and for three months we decorated it three different ways by shopping our homes. I chose my china hutch. We decided to … [Read more...]

How to make custom cushion covers with Confessions of a Serial Do-it-Yourselfer

Hello there and welcome to part two of my Sectional Slipcover Tutorial: Covering the Cushions! If you missed part one, you can catch up here. There is nothing unique about covering sectional cushions verses sofa cushions, except maybe that the cushions may not all be created equal as often is the case with a standard sofa. For this reason I measured each sectional cushion individually, so each cover is custom to that cushion. That accounts for the very tailored fit my cushions … [Read more...]

French Linen Shelf

Shelf redone in French Linen.

Hello sweet Friends! I've got a quick little makeover for you today! I found this shelf at the thrift store a couple of weeks ago hiding in the toy section: Luckily I can spot a potential makeover a mile away! :) Blue tags were half off that day, so this cost me less than $2, and I liked the shape of it. I did check first to see if the Winnie the Pooh paper would come off easily and it was adhesive, so luckily it peeled right off... and became this: Ooh la la. Much … [Read more...]
