I am so glad you’re here, welcome! If you’re visiting for the first time, take off your coat and stay a while. We’re real casual around here.
Today I am sharing Part 2 of my Christmas house tour. If you missed part 1, you can see it here. I am so thrilled to be a part of the Twelve Days of Christmas Tour, 30 blogs in 12 days!
It’s freezing out here…
Why don’t you come inside…
Oh my greeter is right on time. (Why yes that is a witches hat, isn’t it festive?…and yes, those are his PJs… and I am aware that it’s 1:00 in the afternoon 🙂 )
This is my new DIY Christmas Twig wreath I made for the front door, but I like it better here.
This is what you see when you enter my house. Oh, you need to use the bathroom? Didn’t you go before you left home? Oh where are my manners, it’s just to the left…
If you visited for my first Christmas tour, I believe this is where we left off…
Come on up…now this is not your typical upstairs hallway…my husband had a vision and I love how it turned out. He’s done all the tile work inside and outside our house.
Turn left, that’s where he snores and I get my beauty sleep…
Our live tree in the living room has all of our sentimental ornaments, so I like to have a pretty one in our bedroom.
I found these gold ornaments on clearance at Walmart for a quarter each.
I love my dressing table. The center opens up. You can see the before here.
I made this little arrangement from a thrift store box and yard sale angel. She was brand new in the box.
He couldn’t wait to jump in that bed!
I made this one too. The Santa and the sleigh were also thrift store finds. Spray paint is like magic in a can 🙂
Love the glow of the tree at night…
Let’s head back downstairs…
And I’ll show you my Christmas Village obsession collection…
Oh how I love my Christmas village! I made this table skirt out of an inexpensive set of curtains to make it presentable since it’s kind of a monstrosity right in the middle of the room.
This was my first cottage. It was a gift from my mom about 15 years ago…
Then about five years later, I bought a few pieces on clearance at Walmart. They’re not as detailed as some, but I like the simplicity. This church is one of those pieces…
Since then, I’ve bought a couple on ebay and found a few at yard sales. I went on the Lemax website and had a ball buying a bunch of accessories for it a couple of years ago.
I love to set it up every year. I could just sit and look at it for hours!
Well that just about wraps up the second part of my tour…except I want to show you what goes on at night outside…
We built Santa’s Workshop right on our front lawn! We originally built it last year, but it went back together pretty easily this year. You can see how easy it was to make the illuminated ‘Santa’s Workshop’ sign here.
The kids in our neighborhood love it. They all want to go inside!
It’s getting late now and I know you have to be on your way…thanks so much for visiting and I do hope you’ll come back again soon!

You have a tree in your BEDROOM?!?!? I am so jealous right now! It is beautiful! You are such a great decorator, and your little assistant is adorable. Love everything! Thanks so much for sharing with us, friend!
~Abby =)
Christy K. James says
That’s my old artificial tree! It’s really looking quite bare, but I wrapped old garland around the post and it filled it right in! Good for another year 🙂 our bedroom and my oldest son’s bedroom are huge, but we only have three. I would much rather have smaller rooms to accommodate a fourth room. But then I couldn’t fit my tree 🙂 Thanks for the sweet words as always! XO
Krista @thehappyhousie says

I love it! Thank you so much for sharing it with us. That Christmas village is hardcore for sure! My husband always tries to buy a house every year to start a village, but I always have to shut him down because we just don’t have room. Maybe one year…
Love Santa’s workshop!
And your son is the cutest!
Christy K. James says
Thanks, Luisa! I almost didn’t put up my village…almost. My three year old is infatuated with it, so I’m so glad I did! Hope you are enjoying your weekend 🙂

Christy K. James says
I do have a vacancy right now…if you can handle a 4’x 6′ space. Oh and you have to wear an elf costume and pretend like you’re hard at work building toys in case anyone walking by peeks in the windows 🙂
Christy @ Our Southern Home says
Your home is just beautiful! I would love to be able to drive by just to look at the outside at night. I am just taken by that village. What a fun display! Merry Christmas~ Christy
Christy K. James says
