Woohoo! Thanksgiving is officially over and Christmas garland is being flung around like crazy in the James household! Actually I’m at the Christmas Market right now hustling my goods, but if I were home, garland would definitely being flying in all directions.
Today I’m sharing my first Christmas creation this year, a new wreath for my front door.
I always like something elegant for my front door, but this year I wanted to make something a bit more fun. This wreath cost me less than $10 to make.
I made the twig wreath for the base out of sticks/twigs I collected from behind my house. You can see how easy it is to do here.
I decided to reuse the same wreath I made last January. I just removed the bird and gave it a fresh coat of white spray paint to freshen it up.
For the greenery sprays, I stole a couple of pieces from a garland I already had. Michaels wanted $9.99 for a plain spray. Even at half off, that’s more than I wanted to spend…because I’m cheap like that. 🙂
I made two and added those to my wreath with hot glue.
Two pretty sprays from Michaels and it’s starting to come together. These were $5 for both.
I added this whimsical little snow man who was a part of a set of three my mom found at a yard sale and a fun bow. I share how to easily make a bow here.
So easy! Sometimes less is more. It didn’t take much to bring this cute wreath together!
My Winter Twig Wreath held up pretty well, but now it looks all fresh and new!
I created this wreath for this week’s Get Your DIY on: Christmas Wreaths Challenge. We are excited to see everyone’s wreaths and festive entryway decor!

Did you say you stole a couple pieces of Garland from Michaels? I thought so. 😛 And I could try tying that bow 27 different times and it would still end up a noose around my neck. I have no bow-tying prowess. :/

lol…I very may well have Miss Andi-pants, I wrote that post at midnight 🙂 And actually I try to steal things from Michaels all the time because my purse is the size of a small island which pretty much covers the bottom of the entire (teeny tiny) cart allowing all those little goodies to fall in. I have to make sure my purse hasn’t swallowed any stuff before I check out lol 🙂
