Frenchy Scalloped Table Makeover

Antique scalloped table with french graphics

Hi everyone! A couple of months ago I shared this little table in a guest post.  In case you didn’t get at chance to check it out then, I thought I’d share it here today!

This is a sweet table I redid for my last show.  I found it at an estate sale last summer. The house I found it at looked like time had stood still and nothing had been touched in several decades. You seriously could have put up velvet ropes at each door way and called it a museum! (I’m so serious.) It creeped my mom out, but I was fascinated.

Here it is in all its dusty glory:

Table before

I painted it with my DIY chalk paint and found a French graphic from The Graphics Fairy for the top.

I transferred the graphics using this method and painted them in with acrylic paint.

I love the scalloped edge detail.

I sealed it with a coat of Annie Sloan’s clear wax.

I found this glass tray-top table at the same sale and gave it a similar makeover:

These were fun pieces to redo and they both found new homes at my show. 🙂
