Halloween Vignette {A Décor Challenge!}

Hi Friends!! It’s officially Spooktober around here, and today I am sharing my entry table all decked out to welcome Halloween as part of this month’s Décor Challenge. We are finishing off the year the same way we came in, with a one space, three ways challenge. I chose my Dining Room Hutch for the first time around, but I decided to change things up this time.

Instead I chose this little table in our entry way:

Decorating with Trays ...I love how a tray grounds a vignette.

(You can see its makeover here.)

I usually keep it pretty simple. (Flowers a la fakey fake until my hydrangeas appear.)

It actually just looked like this a couple of days ago:

Thrifty Sweater Upcycle

I was sharing how I Upcycled a sweater into this adorable owl and snuggly pumpkin!

But, today it looks much different! Now if Halloween isn’t your thang, I get it…but we really LOVE to do it up for Halloween around here!

I like to change things up for the seasons, but for those of you that don’t normally do that (because who really has time for that? Life is busy!), this is a perfect example of how you can incorporate a little seasonal décor with just one small area!

I’m actually thinking I might just stop at this one simple area this year for the inside.

As part of this challenge I’ll change it up again next month, and then again in December for the Holidays.

I’ve had most of these things for years, found at TJ Maxx, Michaels, wherever. Love this little bottle:

If you’ve followed me for a LONG time, you might remember this skull art I created for a thrifty Halloween challenge with my GYDO girls a couple of years ago:

It’s made out of quilled paper…

Maybe you remember these ghostly images I shared from my Pottery Barn-Inspired Mantel last year:

Ghostly images from Pottery Barn

That mantel was so awesome! The books are also from last year’s mantel. They are great for adding height.

Last Year I skipped my Fall mantel and went straight to Halloween, but since I jazzed it up for Fall this year, I’m going to enjoy it for a while.

A small space like this won’t cost a ton to spruce up either.

Speaking of cheap…how about these free branches?

Spray paint branches black for instant height for cheap!

A little black spray paint and they add height and drama for cheap cheap! I’m thinking they need a few bats or something in them.

My MIL found us the keys hanging on the left in the photo above. They are so cool and super heavy!

Care to take a soak in some blood bath salts?

I love Halloween and all, but I think I’ll pass.
