Hi!
Love your backyard! How did you select the plantings for the yard?
Did you copy a neighboring yard, or did you use a particular gardening book or web site?
Trying to layout and select the planting seems like the most difficult part for me.
Any help woul be appreciated, thanks!
Deb

Love your work. I would like to paint 2 wood/glass curio cabinets to display the porcelain dolls I’ve made. Want to do them in silver like your nightstand. when you painted the wood did you use a foam brush or bristle brush? What primer did you use? Scared, but anxious, to start this project. Thanks for your help
Christy K. James says
Hi Gloria, thank you! I used a Purdy bristle brush and spray primed my piece with Rustoleum’s spray primer. I also sanded lightly with 220 grit sandpaper before priming, just enough to dull the surface. Good luck! š

Hi Christy,
I recently stumbled upon your site. I just bought a dining room table and chairs and am attempting to redo the entire set (painting, staining, and reupholstering). I was wondering if you had a good tutorial on staining table tops or wood in general. I have never stained wood before and am in need.
Christy says
Hi Elizabeth! This drum table makeover post should be of help with staining: https://www.confessionsofaserialdiyer.com/drum-table-makeover/ I share the products I use most often. If you have any further questions at all, please don’t hesitate to ask! š

Hi Christy, I ran across your post online on how to make new cushion covers for outdoor furniture and followed the instructions with pictures also, that were so clear to understand. I was blown away on how easy it was to make these covers. They turned out so professional looking. Thank you so much.
Christy says
Oh awesome!! Thank you so much for taking a minute to let me know! You’ll never need to pay a boatload for new cushions again! Enjoy! XOXO
