French-Inspired Girl’s Table and Chair Set

Hello sweet Friends! I have the cutest little table and chair set to share with ya'll today! But first do you mind if I share my heart a bit?  We had to say goodbye to our sweet kitty, Holly on Friday. You may have seen her in photos from time to time. Most recently I was photographing this table I shared last Thursday: I didn't include this photo in that post, but took a few pics of her after she made herself comfy in the shot. I'm so glad now that I did. I shot this a couple of weeks … [Read more...]

Unfinished Wood Console Table Makeover

Hello awesome Friends! I'm so glad you stopped by today! Actually I'm so glad you stop by every day. :) Remember a week or so ago when I shared this little unfinished table that I painted, one my Dad had made several years ago? See that post HERE if you missed it. Well when I brought this home from my parent's attic, I also picked up its big sister: My parents and I did craft markets for about 15 or so years and these are tables my Dad built. My Mom would paint scenes on top of … [Read more...]

Message Board from a Roadside Find

Hello sweet Friends and welcome to Trash-to-Treasure Tuesday, my favorite!! If you are new around here, welcome! Once a month I get together with some super talented ladies to share makeovers. Be sure to look for the links to their projects at the bottom of this post. :) My project today actually was trash...I found this on the curb when I was out running errands last week: Now why would someone toss a perfectly good frame? The original mirror was missing when I found it, and I … [Read more...]

Painting Unfinished Wood Furniture

In a perfect world, every furniture piece I paint would have a dark brown stain to start since it is the perfect first layer for distressing. I really try to avoid already painted pieces mostly for that reason, but how about unfinished pieces? Yeah...don't usually care for those either. I mean if I can save myself some work, right? Hello sweet friends! Today I am sharing how I tackled one such unfinished piece. My parents and I used to do craft markets for about 15 years or so, and my Dad … [Read more...]

Antique Fixer Upper Table

Hello amazing friends! Today I am sharing a project that is long overdue. For my last craft market way back in 2013 (it was a sea of cottage white but you can see it HERE), my Mom decided to paint several pieces to sell too. She sold most of what she painted except for a few tables. One of the pieces was a quirky antique table. After it didn't sell at the market, she put it up in her attic. About a year later, she was cleaning up there and asked if I wanted to take the table and do something … [Read more...]

Tiered Jewelry Organizer

Hello sweet Friends! Anyone out there as obsessed with dishes as I am? One place I always check out at thrift stores is the dish aisle.  Lord knows I don't need one more single solitary dish, but just between you and me...I look at them anyway. Occasionally, some make it into my cart. Today three such pieces are getting their chance to be more than they ever thought they could: They became a sweet place to toss your favorite jewelry pieces: It is perfect for earrings, rings, and … [Read more...]

Thrift Store Hutch Makeover

Hello awesome Friends! It's Thursday and if you saw my super sweet makeover on Tuesday, you know I'm back today sharing what I did with this pretty hutch: You may have seen this on my Facebook page last week along with some other fun finds I scored. I sold almost all the furniture I had left in my booth in January, so I needed furniture to flip, and fast! I decided to head out for a day of thrifting last Thursday. I stopped at seven stores and found a few treasures to help get me … [Read more...]

Girl’s Vanity set from an Antique Side Table

Hello amazing Friends! I have a fun little makeover for ya'll today! Are you up for something fun?? I spied this little antique side table at the thrift store a couple of months ago for $15: I should have taken a picture of a soda can next to it so you can see how petite it is. It really can't function well as a side table because it is just too small but I did like the shape of it. However, I decided to pass on it. A month later, I stopped in the same thrift store and it was still … [Read more...]

Simple Tote Update

Hello sweet Friends! I'm back today with a cute makeover! You may remember back in the Fall we received several furniture pieces from the estate of my Hubby's Grandmother. We also acquired a couple of smaller things that came out of the shed, and one of them was this little wooden tote: It is clearly handmade and of course that's the reason I loved it immediately. I knew it could be cute and functional again. All it needed was a little paint magic and some love: Seriously, how … [Read more...]
