15 Minute Table Makeover

I have a booth in an antique mall where I sell my upcycled treasures. Some things sell like hotcakes, and some things sell like three day-old stale bread. Today's thrifty makeover is one of those pieces of stale bread. Welcome, Friends, to March Madness Thrifty Makeover #18! It's a piece my Mom painted a few years ago for a craft market, but didn't sell. I stuck it in my booth along with a few other pieces she had left to help clear out her attic. Everything sold quickly except for this … [Read more...]

$5 Yard Sale Dresser Redo

Hi Friends! Welcome to day #8 of my 31 Days of Thrifty Makeovers Series! Beachy Basket Makeover

Hi there! Remember when I shared my hutch decorated three ways as part of a decorating challenge with some of my favorite blogging friends? Well today we're back and this month's decorating challenge is baskets! I see baskets used  mostly for storage of course, but there's no reason they can't be functional and decorative right? The basket I'm sharing today was a $2 thrift store find that I of course I had to make over, because making over stuff is what I do, ya'll. :) It started out like … [Read more...]

Beachy Bathroom Makeover

I've got a room makeover to share today! My boys' bathroom was renovated and then decorated in a mad rush before my sister and her family came to visit a few years ago. I've never been happy with it, so I decided to work on it. When I moved in, I painted the walls with an oops paint I used in my last house, hung a new curtain and threw some pictures up on the walls. Here's what it looked like: Pretty fabulous huh? We even had fancy clear plastic towel bars and a matching toilet … [Read more...]

DIY Coastal Inspired Bathroom Art

I've been working on my boys' bathroom since 2011. We pulled everything out except for the tub surround,  and replaced it all. It was just before Christmas and I had my sister and her family coming to stay with us, so I rushed to get it finished. I've tweaked it a bit and redone several things for it like this stool, and this shelf, and this chair.  However, it needed just a couple more finishing touches. Today I'm sharing the DIY bathroom art I made to match the coastal feeling of the … [Read more...]
