Child’s Antique Desk Makeover

Hey there, awesome Friends, and welcome to my favorite day of the month: Trash to Treasure Tuesday!! I know I share trash-to-treasures all the time, but on this day I get to bring you four more from my treasure maker friends as well! I am always excited to see what they've done. Look for the links to their makeovers at the bottom! I'm sharing this child's desk that I scored for $5 on the only yard sale shopping day I had this Summer. (I still cannot believe that myself!) It is very … [Read more...]

French Provincial Desk Makeover

Well hello there, Friends! Back again so soon? I'm so glad you are!  I have a furniture makeover to share with you today. Are you up for that? Today I'm sharing a desk that my neighbor asked if I could paint for her last Summer. To be honest, I really prefer not to paint furniture for other people. I just don't like the pressure that comes with it. What if I ruin it? Yikes! Plus I don't have the space nor the time to take on more than I already have. I did agree to paint this desk for my … [Read more...]

French Linen and White Dressing Table

Hi Friends! Now that my ceiling is finally finished (whew!), I'm enjoying getting back to redoing a few pieces. Today I'm sharing a sweet dressing table that I picked up at an estate sale a couple of weeks ago. Have a look: Ooh nice. No it really wasn't was it? I ended up paying $25 for it, and figured surely I could do something with it. A little French Linen chalk paint by Annie Sloan makes everything better... See how it makes everything better? Here is the desk in … [Read more...]

Paris, Table for Two

Hi friends!  Welcome to thrifty makeover #16! I've so enjoyed spending every day here with you this month, if only I could keep it up! Today I'm sharing a furniture makeover, and I hope you love today's makeover as much as I do! I found this table and chair at the Salvation Army last year and they have been buried in my garage ever since. I spied the table almost right away and I loved it. I'm not sure why. The two chairs were nearby and looked like a good match. Furniture was half … [Read more...]

French Secretary Desk

Welcome to Themed Furniture Thursday, where I and several other furniture redoers make over a piece of furniture to fit a different theme each month! This month's theme is "Inspired By". I'll share how I was inspired a little further down. First, check out this piece I found at my local Goodwill last spring: Pretty, right? I originally walked out of the store without it and headed to another thrift store down the road a bit. When I got there, I saw the saddest secretary desk, very … [Read more...]

Desk with French Graphics

Yay! It's Themed Furniture Thursday!  A bunch of us crazy DIY girls get together once a month to share a furniture makeover. The catch is that everyone's makeovers have to follow a theme! This month's theme is "Words/Letters".  I immediately went to my go-to for graphics...the Graphics Fairy, and this is what I came up with: Can you see the graphics? They're on top! I found this desk at an estate sale a few weeks ago at this cute little cottage that was about 6 houses from the … [Read more...]

Desk Makeover

When my hubby and I got married, we gave away his beloved black faux leather bachelor sofas and sold my blue and white girly-patterned sofa. Then we purchased a new gender-neutral sectional, black T'V stand, and eventually, the matching desk.  Fast forward several years and he now gladly let's me make all décor-related decisions. (I mean he did let me chop up our sectional...really you should take a look at that if you haven't already.) I think he just wants me to be happy, so he doesn't have to … [Read more...]
