Pink and White Striped Dresser

Hello lovely Friends!! Today I'm sharing another makeover of a makeover, only this is a piece I've had as long as my 14 year old...his baby changing table! It once looked like this: Then it got passed down to my younger son when he was born. After he no longer needed it as a changing table (and because I'm cheap), I decided that rather than buy him a big boy dresser, why not cut off the awkward hump to make it look more like a dresser? And so we did: I've added a few affiliate … [Read more...]

Hello sweet Friends, and welcome to Themed Furniture Thursday! Ya'll know I love to bust out some furniture makeovers around here, but when I get to do it with a bunch of my furniture flippin friends, it's even better! Grandma’s Vintage Dresser Makeover

Hello, lovely Friends, and welcome to Themed Furniture Thursday! I do love a good furniture makeover, but adding a twist by following a theme makes it a fun challenge, and I love a challenge! This month's theme is "Knock Offs", where we find a piece that inspires us to recreate the look, usually for much less. You may remember me sharing this photo of my garage not too long ago: (Show this to your husbands, ladies. You're welcome.) Piled at the front there are four dressers, a china … [Read more...]

Dated Dresser Makeover

Hi awesome friends!! I'm back today with my Trash-to-Treasure Tuesday girls, my favorite! I have a good makeover for you today. I found this dresser at the Salvation Army a few Saturdays ago when all of their furniture was 50% off: I ended up still paying $45 for it, but it was in excellent condition, just a bit dated. I decided to give it a more feminine feel: Much more girly, eh? I used a 50/50 mix of French Linen (Annie Sloan) and Pure White for the stripes. It has … [Read more...]

Fleur de Lis Dresser

Hey sweet Friends! And I'm back...again!  Today's makeover is #29 on our list and it's a good one, ya'll! I found this one at an estate sale at this quaint little cottage about six houses from the ocean: I bought a few pieces at that sale, including this farmhouse hutch and this desk, all of which I've redone and sold long ago...all except one. I went back on Sunday when everything was marked down and picked up this yellow dresser for $25: The price was right and it was in … [Read more...]

Today is extra special because it's also Trash to Treasure Tuesday (my favorite!), so my creative thrifty friends will be sharing a makeover of their own as well. :) Let's get to it! Today I am sharing the makeover of a dresser that cost me all of $5 dollars at a yard sale last Summer: Yup. Five whole dollars. That was the price marked on the bottom drawer there. I think this was one of those purchases where you … [Read more...]

Hello lovely Friends! I'm always so happy when you stop by. If you are new around here, welcome! I'm so excited that you have decided to follow along with me! It's been about a year since I rounded up a few (or 30) of my own furniture makeovers, so I thought it was time to put together another. Most of these pieces were absolutely nothing fancy to begin with, but a little TLC went a long way. Let's start with this little shabby sewing machine table. It was really quite beat up when I found … [Read more...]

Empire Dresser Makeover

Hello lovely Friends and welcome to Themed Furniture Thursday!  This month's theme is storage, so what better project for this theme than a dresser, right? Can I please just tell you first how relieved I am that this dresser makeover is done?? This piece gave me SO MUCH trouble. You don't hear me say that very often, but let's face it, sometimes it's just good to hear that other's struggle too, right?  I feel like I need to vent about my struggle with this troublemaker. This story does have a … [Read more...]
