I can't believe it's almost here already. We won't actually move until the following Friday, but I plan to be very busy next week at the new house, so I have been packing my little heart out. Please tell me I'm not the only one that has packed boxes of absolute crap because I just didn't have it in me to go through it … [Read more...]

Grandma’s Dresser gets an Update with Behr Paint

This is a sponsored post written by me on behalf of Behr. All opinions of this awesome paint are 100% mine. Hey there, awesome Friends! I have a sweet super summery makeover for y'all today. The most exciting thing for me about this makeover is that I am collaborating with Behr on this one! They actually paid me to use their paint that you all know I already love! I use it in my DIY chalk paint recipe that you can find HERE. Is that the best gig ever or what?? The furniture piece I … [Read more...]

Revisiting a Dated Dresser Makeover

Hello sweet Friends! Summer is well under way here and I hope you are taking time to enjoy some sunshine where you are. My oldest will be turning 15 in September and I am coming to the realization that sadly, this may be our last Summer with him actually wanting to hang out here with me and my youngest son. Too soon he will be off doing his own thing with his friends...boohoo! SO I really want to make the moments count this Summer, and with that I hope you don't mind if I sprinkle in a … [Read more...]

Serpentine Dresser Makeover

Hello lovely Friends, and welcome to the first day of June! I'm ready to get this Summer started, how about you? Today I'm sharing my first yard sale find of the season and what I did with it! If you've followed me for long, you know that I have been on a serious yard sale diet for the last two Summers. I had hoarded project pieces like crazy and needed to get rid of what I had. I have worked really hard to whittle that to-do pile down, so I earned a day of yard saling! I set out first … [Read more...]

Pink and White Striped Dresser

Hello lovely Friends!! Today I'm sharing another makeover of a makeover, only this is a piece I've had as long as my 14 year old...his baby changing table! It once looked like this: Then it got passed down to my younger son when he was born. After he no longer needed it as a changing table (and because I'm cheap), I decided that rather than buy him a big boy dresser, why not cut off the awkward hump to make it look more like a dresser? And so we did: I've added a few affiliate … [Read more...]

Grandma’s Vintage Dresser Makeover

Hello, lovely Friends, and welcome to Themed Furniture Thursday! I do love a good furniture makeover, but adding a twist by following a theme makes it a fun challenge, and I love a challenge! This month's theme is "Knock Offs", where we find a piece that inspires us to recreate the look, usually for much less. You may remember me sharing this photo of my garage not too long ago: (Show this to your husbands, ladies. You're welcome.) Piled at the front there are four dressers, a china … [Read more...]

Dated Dresser Makeover

Hi awesome friends!! I'm back today with my Trash-to-Treasure Tuesday girls, my favorite! I have a good makeover for you today. I found this dresser at the Salvation Army a few Saturdays ago when all of their furniture was 50% off: I ended up still paying $45 for it, but it was in excellent condition, just a bit dated. I decided to give it a more feminine feel: Much more girly, eh? I used a 50/50 mix of French Linen (Annie Sloan) and Pure White for the stripes. It has … [Read more...]
