Wooden Box Update

Hello lovely Friends! I'm back today with a quick little makeover for ya'll.  There's a thrift store by my Mom's house that I always stop in whenever I'm out that way. That's the same store where I found my 99¢ table. When I stopped in there last week, I found a few small things: The little pitcher was my favorite find. I can always use a pretty white pitcher. All of these were on the clearance...does it get any better than clearance at the thrift store?? (No. The answer is no.) Today … [Read more...]

Dated Dresser Makeover

Hi awesome friends!! I'm back today with my Trash-to-Treasure Tuesday girls, my favorite! I have a good makeover for you today. I found this dresser at the Salvation Army a few Saturdays ago when all of their furniture was 50% off: I ended up still paying $45 for it, but it was in excellent condition, just a bit dated. I decided to give it a more feminine feel: Much more girly, eh? I used a 50/50 mix of French Linen (Annie Sloan) and Pure White for the stripes. It has … [Read more...]

The Evolution of My Thrifty Dining Room

Hello again awesome Friends!! How are you feeling this fine January morning? My Hubby can't make it till midnight, so I partied with my 13 year old and a bottle of sparkling cider ha ha. I'm kicking off the new year with the evolution of my dining room! Although this space is far from where it originally started, I've never shared any kind of before and after. Thrift Store Lamp Makeover

Are ya'll up for a quick makeover today? I'm sharing a thrift store lamp that I found several months ago. The lighting in my booth is very harsh, so I thought I would find a lamp or two to add a little softer lighting to my space. Here is the lamp I found for a few dollars: It had pretty lines, but came without a shade. I didn't realize how hard shades would be to come by, and I did not want to break down and buy new. Luckily I didn't have to.  I found this one for $3 a couple of … [Read more...]
