From Tea Towels to Halloween Pillows

Hi Friends! I'm back with a much simpler sewing project today! I'm sharing what I did with these fun Halloween tea towels I found at Homegoods last year.  I originally shared this project on another blog as a contributor then, but never got a chance to share it with you! We love Halloween at our house. Every year we each get to pick something new to add to our Halloween display. You can see our Spooky Outdoor Halloween Tour from last year here. We put a LOT into our outdoor display, but … [Read more...]

Vintage Cane Club Chair Makeover

Hi Friends! Up for a little furniture redo today?  How about this pretty little cane club chair I picked up recently at the thrift store? I spied it at the Salvation Army on a Thursday for $44, and I really liked it so I asked the gal if they were having any sales any time soon.  She told me that all furniture would be 50% off on Saturday. Luckily it was still there! It ended up being only $22! Woo hoo. Now you might think you already know what fabric I used, right? Not this time. … [Read more...]

Paris, Table for Two

Hi friends!  Welcome to thrifty makeover #16! I've so enjoyed spending every day here with you this month, if only I could keep it up! Today I'm sharing a furniture makeover, and I hope you love today's makeover as much as I do! I found this table and chair at the Salvation Army last year and they have been buried in my garage ever since. I spied the table almost right away and I loved it. I'm not sure why. The two chairs were nearby and looked like a good match. Furniture was half … [Read more...]

Hi friends and welcome to day #3 of March Madness, 31 thrifty makeovers in 31 days! I have a special treat today! You could send pretty much anything and my thought was, the cheesier the better! Well my … [Read more...]

Dressing Table Bench Makeover

Hello friends! Have you ever peeled off wallpaper to reveal another layer underneath? And then another layer underneath? And so on? That was what happened to me only with a dressing table bench! My Mom picked this up at the same estate sale where she scored these amazing French provincial chairs. (Trust me, they did NOT start out amazing.) We had been together the day before and she went back for the chairs, so I sent her in after the bench as well since it was the last day and everything was … [Read more...]

DIY Starfish Stamped Pillows with Piping

I have a great project to share with you today! I was in need of new throw pillows in my living room. Usually my go-to place is Home Goods/ TJ Maxx, but I was striking out there and honestly, I don't have the time or the energy to drag my little one from place to place looking.  So, I decided to make my own: What do you think about the fabric? I made it using a pencil starfish as a stamp! And that coordinating piping is fun, huh?  Adding it is easier than you think! Come on, I'll show … [Read more...]

How to Add Piping to Dining Room Chairs

When I revealed my dining room table makeover, I promised I would share how to add piping to dining room chairs, so here it is! Piping is a small detail that makes a huge impact.  I sewed mine but you don't have to. I am going to show you both ways, both super easy! Before we can get to the piping, you need to cover your chair pads. There are a billion and one (probably more) tutorials on how to cover your chair pads so here's just a quickie recap: Cut fabric to size leaving enough … [Read more...]

You see, I bought this dining set at a local thrift store a couple of weeks ago: Ain't she a beauty? SUPER fabulouuuus!  Love love loved it and had to have it, called hubby and convinced him why I we had to have it.  Hello, … [Read more...]
