Roadside Footboard Repurposed

Welcome to my favorite day of the month, amazing friends! It's Trash-to-Treasure Tuesday and my friends and I are all sharing trashy makeovers! I love it when I actually have trash to share. I picked this footboard up off the curb on the way to my Mom's house in 2014: The only reason I know when it was is because I shared this picture on Instagram: That poor baby. He's like...no big deal, just a giant bed hanging over my head. There actually was a headboard and … [Read more...]

Thrift Store Lamp Upcycle

Hello lovely Friends! Christmas is less than a week away now and I know you are busy, so thanks for stopping by! I have a quickie makeover to share with ya'll today. If you follow me on my Facebook Page, you may have seen me thrifting when I was supposed to be Christmas shopping he he. I found this super cute lamp marked down to 99¢: And yes, that table was a mere 99¢ as well, so of course I brought that home too! I had to ask, sure that it was a mistake, but nope! I always keep … [Read more...]

Thrifty Wooden Pedestal Bowls

I have been making real progress in clearing out the garage in the furniture department, but what I also have seemed to amass are about six large Rubbermaid containers of bric-a-brac as well. Most of it is comprised of wood pieces since I am always immediately drawn to them. There are a ton of wooden candlesticks in there, apparently I just cannot say no to them. I used up some of them when I made these coastal-inspired candlesticks, and today, my friends, I am sharing how I used two more of … [Read more...]

Take a Number {Fence Scrap Wall Décor}

Hello lovely Friends! On Thursday I shared this sweet little bookcase that got a whole lot more character with some paint and the addition of these old fence pickets I white-washed: Reclaimed Wood Bookcase I had to take apart the fence section I had in order to do it and was left with three of these pieces: Of course you know I can't throw anything away, so I decided to white-wash one of them along with the pickets for the back of the shelf. Then as I was digging around my garage, … [Read more...]

Reclaimed Wood Side Table

Welcome to day #28 in this thrifty makeover series! Can you believe it's day #28?? Where did March go? Today I'm proud to say that I eliminated yet one more thing that has been mocking me from my to-do pyramid. It started with these old decking boards I found in the woods near my house: I used some of them for the seat on this Headboard Bench I shared the other day: Farmhouse Headboard Bench And while they were fresh in my mind (and out from under a pile of junk that was on them … [Read more...]

DIY Jewelry Storage

Hello Lovelies and welcome back to this fun makeover series! We made it a whole week woohoo! Today is number seven and I'm sharing what I did with these pretty aqua dishes I just could not leave behind at the thrift store: I was so smitten with them, and for 75¢ a piece I scooped them right up, having no clue what I was going to do with them. I decided on a plan for three of these pieces, along with a set of candlesticks (only one pictured) that I picked up marked down to 48¢ each on … [Read more...]

Shutter Shelf

Hello lovelies! I have a thrifty little redo for ya'll today! When I find something at a thrift store, I can almost always imagine the end product right then and there. But then there are times when I find something having no earthly idea what I'll do with it, but I throw it in my cart anyway. Those are the things that sit there in my to-do pyramid for months mocking me. I bought this shutter over TWO YEARS ago: People!! That's more than 24 months I had to dream up an idea for this … [Read more...]

Hi Friends! Have I got a fun post for you today! It's time once again for Swap it Like It's Hot hosted by the very fun Charlotte of Ciburbanity!  This challenge is where we go to the thrift store and find a bunch of crap, then send it to another blogger to make over.
