Simple Shabby Shelf

Hey there, awesome Friends! Welcome to one of my favorite days of the month: Trash-to-Treasure Tuesday! Pretty much everything I share is a makeover of some sort, but today I get to do it with four of my favorite treasure maker friends. You'll find links to their posts at the bottom. :) Today I am bringing you a redo of a redo. I started with this very Poohesque shelf I found at the thrift store for two whole dollars: You may remember this one from last Fall. The contact paper was very … [Read more...]

Bookcase Makeover

Hey ya'll!  If you missed my big announcement on Tuesday, you can read more about it HERE. In a nutshell, I'm out shopping the World's Longest Yard Sale right now in search of great finds to help furnish a Habitat for Humanity home to surprise the new homeowners! I'm probably somewhere in Ohio right now. :) Thanks to GMC for the invite to participate in this amazing adventure!! The show must go on around here though and I've got a pretty cool update to show you today. This month's Get Your DIY … [Read more...]

Turn $5 in Thrift Store Parts into Functional Décor!

Hi there, awesome Friends! Jack sends a huge thank you for all the super sweet comments on his plant stand makeover I shared on Tuesday! He was grinning form ear to ear. Are ya'll up for another thrifty makeover today? I thought you might be. They're my favorite too! This one was actually a collaboration between me and Jack. He dug through my to-do pyramid and pulled out a little shelf I found at the thrift store for two dollars a while back and started going to town painting it. Then I … [Read more...]

Jack’s Thrift Store Shelf Update

Hey there, Friends! I love when you stop by!! :) A few weeks ago I shared that my oldest son has decided to start painting a few things to sell in my booth. I mean really...anything to keep him busy over the Summer with something other than video games, right?? I'm honestly thrilled to have him hanging out in my workshop with me! I shared his first little makeover here, and today I thought I'd share a shelf he also redid. Here it was as we found it: Actually Jack found it...he … [Read more...]

Mini Shelf Makeover

Hi friends! Welcome back to day #2 of my March Madness Series! I've got a sweet little mini shelf makeover that I'm sharing today. I found this last Summer at the thrift store for $3 whole dollars and it has long sold in my booth, but I never got a chance to share it. Here it is as I found it: A little homely, but I thought it could be sweet painted. It got a new beadboard backing and a fresh new paint job that gave it an entirely new feel. This frumpy dated little mini shelf is … [Read more...]

Shutter Shelf

Hello lovelies! I have a thrifty little redo for ya'll today! When I find something at a thrift store, I can almost always imagine the end product right then and there. But then there are times when I find something having no earthly idea what I'll do with it, but I throw it in my cart anyway. Those are the things that sit there in my to-do pyramid for months mocking me. I bought this shutter over TWO YEARS ago: People!! That's more than 24 months I had to dream up an idea for this … [Read more...]

French Linen Shelf

Hello sweet Friends! I've got a quick little makeover for you today! I found this shelf at the thrift store a couple of weeks ago hiding in the toy section: Luckily I can spot a potential makeover a mile away! :) Blue tags were half off that day, so this cost me less than $2, and I liked the shape of it. I did check first to see if the Winnie the Pooh paper would come off easily and it was adhesive, so luckily it peeled right off... and became this: Ooh la la. Much … [Read more...]

Cottage-Inspired Mirror with Shelf from Thrifty Finds

Hello Friends! Today I'm sharing a great upcycle from two items I found recently. First I found this simple shelf at a thrift store: I loved the chunkiness of it and figured for $6 I'd be able to do something with it. Then not long after that, I found this mirror: For ONE WHOLE DOLLAR at a yard sale. Yes, I'll have that, thank you! When I was playing around in my workshop/studio...okay the garage...I spotted these two getting cozy in a corner and had an idea to marry the … [Read more...]
