Hello amazing Friends! I have a fun makeover and a how-to to share today. Today I'm sharing a tray that I've had hanging around my garage since the Summer before last, that I repurposed and added my own design to. Then I'll share how I did it with my Silhouette. Turn an Old Fence into a Vintage Sign

I am so excited to share today's project! If you follow me on Instagram (Really you should!), then you already got a tiny sneak peak of today's project. This month's GYDO theme is DIY Signs and I have been wanting to DIY a sign for above our TV for forever. Here is what I found in my stash make my sign: I have been dipping into this curbside haul for months now making … [Read more...]

DIY Halloween Sign

Hi there! It's time once again for our Power Tool Team to bust out the power tools and build something! You may remember last month's Fall theme inspired me to build this little rustic crate: DIY ReclaimedWood Crate Well this month's theme is "Frightful" and perfectly fitting for October. We really like to go all out at my house for Halloween, and the kids in my neighborhood get a huge kick out of it. I knew when I saw this sign at BHG.com a few months ago that I must have one for our … [Read more...]

A New Sign from a Curbside Find

Hi lovely Friends! I was yard saling this Spring and from a mile away as I was nearing one particular yard sale, I spotted a trash pile on the curb. It was mostly old yard decor, but I also spied a few decent pieces of wood. Now how sad is it that I would be more interested in what these nice people were throwing away than what they were selling? I asked if it would be okay if I took the wood, and of course they were so nice about it, but it's much easier to take someone's trash when they're … [Read more...]

Headboard turned Cottage Inn Bed and Breakfast Sign

Hi friends! Today I'm sharing a sign I made out of a thrift store headboard.  The very best part is this headboard was only $3.49!! Score! They had about ten of them, probably donated by a nearby hotel that was doing some updating. Here's what I started with: I immediately saw this as a sign. Here's how it turned out: Look familiar? If you've been following me a while, you may remember this headboard that I transformed very similarly: I added hooks to this one to give it … [Read more...]

PB Inspired Summer House Sign

Today I'm sharing a fun summer knockoff project. I love this sign from Pottery Barn. It sells for $69, but I knew I could easily make my own.  I just so happened to have a scrap piece of wood in my garage, so my total out-of-pocket for this project was $0! Here's my version:     I brought in my very first vase of Hydrangeas for the season too! I love them so much. They really remind me of summer. What's that? You want to make a sign too?  Great! Here's a few … [Read more...]

How to Enlarge Letters & a DIY Halloween Sign

Hi friends! Are your knees still shaking from my Spooky Outdoor  Halloween Tour? I'm glad you all are such good sports! Today I'm going to share with you how I made my Halloween sign that you saw by my front door, with a little help from Paint.NET . Where We go to Get Away from it All

We live a little over a mile from the ocean. Living in our neighborhood is a blessing...and a curse. It's close enough, but just far enough away from all the hustle. Being able to ride our bikes to the beach or walk to the water park is awesome. Plus we really love our close-knit community. But to own a home here, we've had to settle on a few things. Our lot is teeny tiny and we can almost reach out and touch our neighbors. (Good thing our neighbors are awesome!)  Our street backs right up … [Read more...]
