I figured my house would be about 75% packed up and a total wreck by the time my post with my Furniture Fixer Upper Friends was due to share, so I planned ahead!  (Be sure to look for my friends' projects at the bottom. :) ) I found this dresser on the same trip where I found this white washed sofa table I shared a couple of weeks ago. Jack was on the hunt for a piece to paint at the thrift store. … [Read more...]

Garage Junk Repurposed

Hello beautiful Friends! I'm back today with a fun little project. This is from a couple  of years ago. It's one of my favorite projects because something cute and functional was created out of mostly trash! I started with this: This wasn't the trash part. One of my favorite friends in the whole world saved a few things for me thinking I could reuse them in some way, and this was one of them. It became the  perfect door frame for this sweet little mini cabinet: Isn't it cute? That … [Read more...]

Reclaimed Wood Bookcase

Hi Friends! Today I'm joining my Power Tool Girl Crew to bring you a simple project I did using power tools! I love these group challenges because they motivate me to get stuff done! This month's theme is "Summer". I wanted to do something with this little bookcase I picked up at the thrift store for $12 a couple of weeks ago: It looked like someone had some sort of electronics on the bottom shelf that needed to be vented, so two big holes had been cut out on the back. When I bought … [Read more...]

DIY Jewelry Storage

Hello Lovelies and welcome back to this fun makeover series! We made it a whole week woohoo! Today is number seven and I'm sharing what I did with these pretty aqua dishes I just could not leave behind at the thrift store: I was so smitten with them, and for 75¢ a piece I scooped them right up, having no clue what I was going to do with them. I decided on a plan for three of these pieces, along with a set of candlesticks (only one pictured) that I picked up marked down to 48¢ each on … [Read more...]

Mini Shelf Makeover

Hi friends! Welcome back to day #2 of my March Madness Series! I've got a sweet little mini shelf makeover that I'm sharing today. I found this last Summer at the thrift store for $3 whole dollars and it has long sold in my booth, but I never got a chance to share it. Here it is as I found it: A little homely, but I thought it could be sweet painted. It got a new beadboard backing and a fresh new paint job that gave it an entirely new feel. This frumpy dated little mini shelf is … [Read more...]

DIY Mini Storage Cabinet with Reclaimed Wood

Hello, awesome Friends! I'm back today with a fun little project for ya. A while back, my talented friend Wendi of H2O Bungalow pulled a group of us gals together who have little fear when it comes to power tools, in hopes of inspiring our readers who might want to give a few tools a try to go for it. Each month we share simple DIY projects that involve power tools, but that anyone can tackle! I look back at some of my earlier projects where I show my hubs cutting things for me and chuckle. I … [Read more...]
