White Washed Sofa Table

Hello amazing friends! I have a brand new makeover to share today! :D Jack had decided that he wanted to pick out a piece of furniture to work on to make a little money, so we stopped by the thrift store closest to my house a few days ago and all furniture was 50% off. That never happens, but they were overstocked so it was our lucky day. The first piece with potential I spied was this sofa table: Jack wasn't interested in it, so I nabbed it for myself. It was marked $34, so we got … [Read more...]

Unfinished Wood Console Table Makeover

Hello awesome Friends! I'm so glad you stopped by today! Actually I'm so glad you stop by every day. :) Remember a week or so ago when I shared this little unfinished table that I painted, one my Dad had made several years ago? See that post HERE if you missed it. Well when I brought this home from my parent's attic, I also picked up its big sister: My parents and I did craft markets for about 15 or so years and these are tables my Dad built. My Mom would paint scenes on top of … [Read more...]

Painting Unfinished Wood Furniture

In a perfect world, every furniture piece I paint would have a dark brown stain to start since it is the perfect first layer for distressing. I really try to avoid already painted pieces mostly for that reason, but how about unfinished pieces? Yeah...don't usually care for those either. I mean if I can save myself some work, right? Hello sweet friends! Today I am sharing how I tackled one such unfinished piece. My parents and I used to do craft markets for about 15 years or so, and my Dad … [Read more...]

Antique Fixer Upper Table

Hello amazing friends! Today I am sharing a project that is long overdue. For my last craft market way back in 2013 (it was a sea of cottage white but you can see it HERE), my Mom decided to paint several pieces to sell too. She sold most of what she painted except for a few tables. One of the pieces was a quirky antique table. After it didn't sell at the market, she put it up in her attic. About a year later, she was cleaning up there and asked if I wanted to take the table and do something … [Read more...]

99¢ Thrift Store Table Makeover

You read that right, Friends, 99¢ for a table!! Hey there, and welcome to Trash-to Treasure Tuesday, one of my favorite days of the month! Not only am I sharing a thrifty makeover today, but four of my favorite treasure-maker friends are too! Look for their posts at the bottom. This table is a perfect trash-to-treasure project! Clearly the person who priced it thought it was trash. I found it while thrifting,  just before the holidays. (When I was supposed to be Christmas shopping, of … [Read more...]

Drum Table Makeover

Hello lovely Friends! It's a fresh new year and I am excited to kick it off with one of my favorite things in the whole world...a thrifty makeover! This one is a real trash-to-treasure project. I really worked hard last year to whittle down my to-do project pyramid that has consumed my garage, so I have enjoyed thrifting again guilt-free lately. (I may or may not be meeting my maximum capacity in the garage again. #oopsie) A couple of weeks before Christmas I picked up this drum table for … [Read more...]

French Provincial End Table Update {Painted with Paint Sprayer}

Mmmmm...French Provincial. I just love the lines of these pretty pieces. Hey there, Friends. I have a simple makeover for ya'll today. I picked up this pretty end table for $20 about six months ago and have been waiting for inspiration to strike. I finally decided I just needed to get it out of the garage. I've said before that sometimes you just need to start, even if you don't know where you're headed. Isn't that true for SO many things in life?? My Trash-to-Treasure Tuesday girls and … [Read more...]

Simple Side Table Makeover

Welcome, amazing Friends! Can you believe it's the last day of May already?? Where did the month go? Today I'm sharing a petite side table I found at an estate sale TWO YEARS ago. I have no idea why I have resisted this makeover for so long, but it probably had a lot to do with the two words excellent and condition. It's so much harder to find motivation for a piece that really doesn't need "fixing": Am I right? I finally decided that I just needed to get it out of the garage, and … [Read more...]

Reclaimed Wood Side Table

Welcome to day #28 in this thrifty makeover series! Can you believe it's day #28?? Where did March go? Today I'm proud to say that I eliminated yet one more thing that has been mocking me from my to-do pyramid. It started with these old decking boards I found in the woods near my house: I used some of them for the seat on this Headboard Bench I shared the other day: Farmhouse Headboard Bench And while they were fresh in my mind (and out from under a pile of junk that was on them … [Read more...]

French Provincial Desk Makeover

Well hello there, Friends! Back again so soon? I'm so glad you are!  I have a furniture makeover to share with you today. Are you up for that? Today I'm sharing a desk that my neighbor asked if I could paint for her last Summer. To be honest, I really prefer not to paint furniture for other people. I just don't like the pressure that comes with it. What if I ruin it? Yikes! Plus I don't have the space nor the time to take on more than I already have. I did agree to paint this desk for my … [Read more...]
