Thrift Store Lamp Upcycle

Hello lovely Friends! Christmas is less than a week away now and I know you are busy, so thanks for stopping by! I have a quickie makeover to share with ya'll today. If you follow me on my Facebook Page, you may have seen me thrifting when I was supposed to be Christmas shopping he he. I found this super cute lamp marked down to 99¢: And yes, that table was a mere 99¢ as well, so of course I brought that home too! I had to ask, sure that it was a mistake, but nope! I always keep … [Read more...]

Simple Shabby Shelf

Hey there, awesome Friends! Welcome to one of my favorite days of the month: Trash-to-Treasure Tuesday! Pretty much everything I share is a makeover of some sort, but today I get to do it with four of my favorite treasure maker friends. You'll find links to their posts at the bottom. :) Today I am bringing you a redo of a redo. I started with this very Poohesque shelf I found at the thrift store for two whole dollars: You may remember this one from last Fall. The contact paper was very … [Read more...]

10 Thrifty Reclaimed Wood Projects

Hello, amazing Friends! Today I am sharing some of my favorite thrifty makeovers! The theme for this month's Get Your DIY On challenge is "Wood", and when I think of wood, I automatically think of the stash of old fence pickets I have in my garage.  Nothing makes my heart go pitter patter like seeing a big ole pile of discarded fencing on the curb! That's free money right there! And technically I can call it "reclaimed", right? I shared this scene on my Facebook Page a couple of months … [Read more...]

Thrift Store Basket Update

Hello to the sweetest readers ever! Thanks so much for all the wonderful feedback on the doll clothes I made for my niece that I shared on Tuesday! I had THE best time making them. Today I'm sharing a quick update of this giant thrift store basket I scored recently: It's hard to see how large it is in that photo, but this thing is a good size and a bargain at $10. I knew it could be perfect for so many uses, but was a bit plain in its current state. A little spray paint to the … [Read more...]

Thrifty Wooden Pedestal Bowls

I have been making real progress in clearing out the garage in the furniture department, but what I also have seemed to amass are about six large Rubbermaid containers of bric-a-brac as well. Most of it is comprised of wood pieces since I am always immediately drawn to them. There are a ton of wooden candlesticks in there, apparently I just cannot say no to them. I used up some of them when I made these coastal-inspired candlesticks, and today, my friends, I am sharing how I used two more of … [Read more...]

Dated Dresser Makeover

Hi awesome friends!! I'm back today with my Trash-to-Treasure Tuesday girls, my favorite! I have a good makeover for you today. I found this dresser at the Salvation Army a few Saturdays ago when all of their furniture was 50% off: I ended up still paying $45 for it, but it was in excellent condition, just a bit dated. I decided to give it a more feminine feel: Much more girly, eh? I used a 50/50 mix of French Linen (Annie Sloan) and Pure White for the stripes. It has … [Read more...]

This is a sponsored post written by me on behalf of DAP Products Inc.. All opinions of this awesome product are 100% mine. Hi Friends! I've got a super simple thrifty DIY project for ya'll today. I was actually looking to test out a new glue. Although I have a personal favorite, it seems to take forever to dry, so I was excited to give DAP® RapidFuse™ All Purpose Adhesive a try. It sets in just 30 seconds and cures in 30 minutes...that's more my kind of speed. DAP products have been a … [Read more...]
