Hi y’all! I have a quick little makeover to share today. This is one of the first pieces I sold at the Christmas Craft Market.
I found this little three drawer chest at the thrift store for $4.99:
After painting with my DIY Chalk Paint and adding some cute knobs from Hobby Lobby, It looks so much more up-to-date:
I originally thought it would be perfect for organizing jewelry or make-up, but now I can see it as the perfect mail center…all hidden inside these drawers. Don’t you think?
I lined the drawers with pretty contact paper I found at TJ Maxx:
I wonder what it was used for before? I kinda wish I had kept it now!
What would you use it for?
XO,
I love to share at these awesome parties:

Cute Christy- It would actually make a great little jewelry and keepsake box in someone’s bedroom I think…

What a great little cabinet! It would also be perfect to house all the paperwork in the kitchen that accumulates before you have time to file it away 🙂 Great makeover!

You did great job giving that adorable little box a new life. The knobs are wonderful, great choice, love you used two different kinds. I’ll have to think on what I’d use it for. Too bad you sold it so quickly. I’d have a hard time letting go of nice little items.
Happy week

I like the mail idea…although I’d put it in there and never see it again… :/

I would use it for stationery, stamps, cute cards, return labels, etc. or a useful box for hanging or organizing pictures on my walls, hold my tools, 3-M adhesive strips, hangers, level, felt pads or bumpers to protect my walls, etc or if you are a tea drinker, storage for a variety of teas, so elegant. As you tell I am all about boxes and storage.

Those are all great ideas, Joyce! I never thought to use it for tools…I love that idea!! XO

Such a sweet transformation. I would use it for all the things that find their way into my pockets!

Thanks, Donna! Isn’t it funny how we accumulate so much stuff that way? I have a small pile in my closet from emptying out my pockets! 🙂
