Hello, sweet friends! I worked feverishly all day yesterday packing away all my Halloween friends, so for today, I’ve put together a fun round up of 13 repurposed frames for y’all!
After sharing the two frames I redid last week, I thought I would pull out several more I’ve done over the years to share!
There are many ways to reuse an old frames!
I always look at the artwork aisle at the thrift store…some of those older pieces are attached to gorgeous frames!
Here are 13 repurposed frames!
I linked to the original posts below each after photo if you want to see more details!
Enjoy!

Let’s start with this oldie but goodie! This style of frame is plentiful at the thrift store:
This one was on clearance for only 75¢!
With some paint, old fence pickets, and new handles, I was able to turn it into a tray worthy of any coastal home:
Yep, those are fence pickets!

At the number two spot on the list is this picture I found many years ago for $8:
Although I really truly did like the picture on this one, it didn’t go with my decor. That frame had beautiful details though!
I decided to pair it with an old corkboard and a thrift store fabric shower curtain to create a fresh new bulletin board!
How cute are these push pins??

Up next is another so-so picture that had a great frame:
I just loved all the details on this one and it was actually wood. And, it had been marked down TWICE to $4.98.
I decided to pair it with another smaller frame and a gold framed mirror to create one larger, chunkier framed mirror:

This next one still had the glass intact for $4:
This is one of my favorite styles of frames…so elegant!
Instead of ditching the glass, I decided to turn it into a mirror with faux etching!
Here’s a close up so you can see that I also added patterned tissue paper to the back:

This pair of frames almost made it to my yard sale!
As I was pricing everything, an idea for these popped into my head.
I turned them into a cupcake stand with the help of a couple of candle holders!

How about this mirror frame I found on the side of the road?
Free 70’s mirror frame?? I’ll take it! You really lower your standards when it comes to “free” am I right?
But the addition of chicken wire and a pretty stencil turned it into a great place to display favorite photos!
Adding hooks to either side adds even more function…

At number seven is this dated picture I found for around $3:
Most of the larger frames I collect become chalkboards, but I decided to add dry erase board to this one instead:

This next frame makeover was shared in the same post as the one above:
This one did end up as a chalkboard, but then I went a step further and used the leftovers of a pretty floral transfer on the frame:
I love the touch of pretty the transfer added!

This gorgeous carved frame was quite a deal at $4.25:
I decided to turn it into a chalkboard also but chose to do a distressed finish on the frame this time:
I really like how distressing can enhance all those beautiful details!

This next frame was definitely coming home with me for half off of $3.25 at the thrift store:
I just love these curvy elegant frames!
I ended up added a bottom, a pretty frenchy stencil, and turned it into a sweet tray!
I just love the pretty details on this one!

This next one started out as this very dated picture that my sister nabbed for me from her in-laws’ estate sale:
I recently turned this one into a one-of-a-kind Fall wreath!
I didn’t even have to do anything to the actual frame!

At number 12 is another piece I got for free from one of my dear friends:
It ended up being the perfect size to use as a door for this cabinet I made many years ago!
It’s the perfect size to hold make up, toiletries, or even… nail polish!

And finally, at number 13 is this frame I picked up for only $2:
It was a petite size, but still made for a great tray! And can you see what I did with the spindles?
They became feet!
I ended up adding strips of wood I picked up at a yard sale to fill the bottom and give it some coastal vibes…
