Happy Hallow’s Eve, dear friends! I’m back today to share our Indoor Halloween Decor Tour…what you didn’t get to see on the inside! If you missed the outside tour, you can see that HERE. Inside, it’s a skeleton dinner party, and you all are invited!!
Let’s go!
Indoor Halloween Decor Tour
When you enter our front door, the dining room is on your left…and the party is already under way!
Not too bad during the day, but at night…it’s just a little more spooky…
I added quite a bit more to my staging dresser this year…
I love it all aglow at night!
My Quilled Paper Skeleton art I made way back in 2013 still makes an appearance each year:
I ditched the red this year and opted for a black and gold theme…
This table is in the corner, and the lamp has a bulb that flickers eerily at night…
My hutch gets a few spookies added to it as well…
Lyla??? I always thought it was a warm and cozy lap she was after, but I guess any old lap will do!
I swapped out the images in the frames on the wall for more fitting ones this year.
My favorite place to find the smaller decor things these days is Michaels.
I found the candelabras there a few years ago and I continue to pick a few new things up there each year like the Seasons Creepings sign on the hutch in the background.
The candles are the same battery-operated ones we have on our porch that I found HERE.
This sign on the dresser was also a Michaels find this year:
The good things go fast, so you have to hit them up early!
The two doorways into the kitchen are covered with black curtain panels we had hanging in our old bedroom at the last house. They maintain the vibe and stop people from being able to see us in the kitchen at night:
The stairway is lined with jars of battery operated votives…
They come on automatically each night and look cool from the window outside…
And that is all for our 2022 indoor Halloween Decor tour!
Do y’all still dress up? I usually do just to go with the house. The last few years I’ve gone with this look:
I’m still deciding what I will be doing this year but I found a fantastic flapper dress at the thrift store, so I think that is where I’m headed!
Brennan was the Joker last year:
But he said he doesn’t want to dress up this year. He’s 12 and I think this would be his last year anyway.
And this might be my favorite Halloween pic of him..at three as Batman…looking up at Jack from under his mask lol:
Cute memories! I hope you all enjoy a safe and enjoyable Halloween!
I’ll see y’all back here next week with this picnic basket that was almost a big FAIL!
UPDATE: See how I saved it HERE now!

Christie… You are amazing! You’re local tv station should showcase your Halloween dining table and guests… It would take me at least a month to decorate a room like this…. What a great spirit you have and the attention to every detail, I love it. Send a video of it to Martha Stewart, she too, tells us that Halloween is her favorite holiday! Enjoy your holiday!

Christy says
Aww thank you, Patty! You are so kind! Ha ha…it all lives up in our attic…it is a hoot to go up there mid summer for a cooler to find all the skeletons looking at you lol! XOXO
Vicki Lombardi says
Omgosh Christy!!! I love your outdoor decorations – they are spooktacular! But my favorite is always the dining room dinner party! I am going to try the quill skeleton pic soon… it should be ready by next Halloween! You will be a gorgeous flapper. Your previous glitter dress looked like you were on your way to the dinner party! You are so creative and I love your posts! Happy Halloween!! 🧡💀🎃
Christy says
Thank you so much, Vicki! The dining room is my favorite also! And yay…quilling is so enjoyable. I don’t do too many projects where I can just sit in one place and create, so I really enjoy that. Have fun with yours! I appreciate your kind words so much! Happy Halloween! XOXO
Carol Bradley says

Hi Christy! Everything looks so awesome!!! I love it. I laughed at Layla sitting in the skeletons lap. Do they have names? Your costume is pretty. How long have you been collecting your spooky decor? I love your chandelier!! It’s beautiful. Have a fun Halloween. I bet people drive from everywhere to see your house.
Christy says
Thank you, Cheryl! Isn’t that so funny about her on the skeleton’s lap… I was like what the?? I have not named them, but that would be fun! We’ve been doing this for about 15 years now. The neighbors really get a kick out of it! Happy Halloween! XOXO
MrsSW says
As I say almost every week – you are so clever! There must be a steady stream of cars passing your place at night.
Are you planning to entertain with live guests as well as the dead this year?
Would you please share a picture in your “new” costume – I’m sure many of us don’t want to wait a year to see it.
Sheila
Christy says
Aww thank you so much, Sheila! Jack and my husband used to dress up and spook people as they came up at our old house, but there isn’t really anywhere for them to hide in the shadows here lol. We do add fog and spooky music though on Halloween night! And I sure will! Happy Halloween! XOXO
Michele M. says

How fun!!! Thank you for sharing. Your decor really makes me smile. And that picture of Lyla!! It needs to be framed and hung up every year. She ain’t no scaredy-cat, she a tough little girl. Enjoy your Halloween and definitely want to see you in the flapper dress.
Christy says
Aww I love that, Denise! Thank you! I’ll be sad to pack it all away this week. Isn’t that the funniest thing with Lyla? She isn’t picky lol! Happy Halloween!! XOXO

Christy says

Cecilia says
Splendidly done! Looks like a dinner party not to be missed…if you’re a skeleton. I love it. Your attention to detail is marvelous. Kind of sad when the kiddos outgrow the dressing up part, isn’t it?
Have fun,
Cecilia
Christy says
Thank you, Cecilia! I really am bummed that Brennan doesn’t want to dress up anymore. That also means that all the kids his age in our neighborhood that I’ve grown to know over the years won’t be coming by to say hello either. Oh well…it has to happen some time! Happy Halloween! XOXO
Liz Shivel says
Hi Christy, this all is amazing! You do an outstanding job! Do you have one large room to hold all of these things the rest if the year? And Lyla, precious cat, napping undisturbed I the dining chair without knocking anything over! Love the old style phone, where did you get that? Did you paint it? Do you post a Menu Board on the table with “ribs”
As the main course? 🎃😁 Great job! Liz & Laila & Luci 🐈🐈
Christy says
Hi Liz! Thank you so much! I really enjoy it. Everything goes up in the attic to hide out until next year. Luckily, Jack will be home next weekend to help lol! And Lyla isn’t picky at all! The old phone is a halloween decoration I found at Target several years ago. Love the idea of the menu board!! Happy Halloween! XOXO
Cory says
I absolutely love this and thoroughly enjoyed the tour. Soooo creative! I hope you’ll share your costume of choice for 2022. I don’t dress up since we don’t have more than a handful of kiddos still trick or treating in the neighborhood. 😞
Christy says
Aww I’m so glad you enjoyed it, Cory! Thank you! I sure will share…it will be cold tonight, so I’ll see how that goes! Happy Halloween! XOXO
