70’s Gold Mirror Makeover

Amazing friends, today's the day! I had two pieces left in my last haul, and I'm keeping one of them as-is to possibly use in my staircase gallery wall. That means today's the day I'm sharing my final piece of this haul woohoo! It seemed like this was such a large pile at the start, didn't it? It's also Trash-to-Treasure Tuesday, so my talented friends are sharing makeovers of their own as well. Be sure to look for their projects at the bottom! Before we get to today's makeover, I have … [Read more...]

Super Dated Hutch Makeover

Hi there, amazing friends!!  Since I'm working feverishly to get my yard sale stuff together, even though it looks like rain is heading our way on Saturday boohoo, I decided to pull an old favorite out to share today! I first shared this back in 2016 and it's been a while since I shared a hutch, so here ya go: This was one very dated hutch! I love these older hutches because they have so much charm, but one thing I didn't find very charming on this one were these plastic amber door … [Read more...]

Ornate Thrift Store Boxes

Hello beautiful friends! I have whittled down my latest thrifty haul to just a few remaining pieces. Today I'm sharing these two ornate boxes I picked up at two different thrift stores: I always pick up pretty boxes when I see them. They are quick and easy to paint up and usually sell quickly. I've included a few affiliate links so you can find the products I love. I started with the larger of the two: I paid more than I would have liked for this one at $4.25, but I couldn't … [Read more...]

Thrift Store Frame Repurposed (& a video on how to stencil and make it look hand-painted!)

Frames...okay can we add frames to the list of things I can't pass up when I see a great deal? That's frames, mirrors, and picnic baskets ha ha. I'm sensing a theme here...ahem hoarder. Welcome back, awesome friends! I'm getting down to the final few pieces from my last thrifting/estate sale haul, and today I'm repurposing this pretty frame: Anytime I see a frame with these curvy lines, I just can't resist picking it up, especially when it's half off of! This was $3.25 but all blue … [Read more...]

$6 Mirror Makeover

I'm about as bad about mirrors as I am about picnic baskets! I really have a hard time passing them up when I see a good deal since they can work in just about any space and are usually good sellers for me. I've shared a couple in the past few months and sweet friends, today I have another! This beauty was only $6.25: However, it wasn't without its flaws. I've included a few affiliate links so you can find the products I love. You might be able to see in the photo above that some … [Read more...]

$19 Estate Sale Desk Makeover

Amazing friends, I am so excited about today's makeover! I'm joining my Furniture Fixer Upper crew and I have the perfect project piece! My friends have furniture flips of their own to share today so be on the lookout for their projects at the bottom. I found this desk at the same estate sale where I found the fretwork cabinet and the shelving unit I already shared from this haul... It was marked $38, but since everything was half off, I got it for just $19! That was a hard deal to … [Read more...]

Thrift Store Boxes Reloved

Who's up for a thrifty makeover today? I'm always up for transforming forgotten treasures into brand new functional decor! Beautiful friends, today I am sharing how I reloved two such pieces: They might be showing their age, but they still have a lot of life left to live! I've included a few affiliate links so you can find the products I love.  Let's start with the recipe box that I scored for 99¢: Personally I prefer hand-written recipes or recipes that I have printed out … [Read more...]

$24 Estate Sale Cabinet Makeover

Amazing friends, can I tell you how nice it was to get away for a few days? Our boys are on Spring break this week, so we decided to head to D.C. to see the museums and monuments. There is so much to see! If you ever get the chance to go, be sure to visit the National Archives Museum. We got to see the original Declaration of Independence, the Constitution, among tons of other super cool documents from our nation's history. Here is my favorite thing I found at the Smithsonian National Museum … [Read more...]

Repurposed Candle Holders

Hello sweet friends!! I have a fun repurpose to share with y'all today! I'm sharing what I made out of these candle holders I scored for 99¢ each on my last thrifting day: I always keep an eye open for small wooden candlesticks because they can be repurposed in several ways, so of course I grabbed these! They were the perfect size to make into tiered jewelry holders! All I needed was some pretty china and voila: I used one of these candle holders for the bottom tier. I … [Read more...]

Booth Update April 2019

Hello lovelies! Today I'm taking ya'll on a trip to my booth. For those of you that may be new here, welcome! I have a booth space at the Virginia Beach Antique Mall here in Virginia Beach where I sell most of the pieces I blog about. Let's start where we left off in November, shall we? The last time you visited, it looked like this: Sadly, most of these furniture pieces are still in my booth! Booo! See, it happens to me too! Many of these pieces are taste specific and need just the … [Read more...]
