Petite Antique Dresser Update

Happy Thursday amazing friends! Today I am sharing a dresser that I purchased last November. My booth inventory was very low at that time and I was kind of desperate to find a few pieces for it, and was having a hard time finding anything. Enter this pretty little number: It was $99 which I would normally NEVER pay for a small dresser like this, but it was already in beautiful condition. Clearly someone had lovingly restored it, so I decided it was worth the hundred bucks. Except … [Read more...]

DIY Lighted Halloween Sign

Halloween already?? I know, right? How on earth did October get here so quickly? Dear friends, I am just going to embrace it because as many of you know, I absolutely LOVE Halloween! Today I have a fun and pretty darn easy Halloween project to share, and so do some of my friends as part of the Seasonal Simplicity Fall Series hosted by my sweet friend, Krista from The Happy Housie. Be sure to check out their projects at the bottom! My project all started with this: This is the … [Read more...]

TV Cabinet Makeover

I see old TV cabinets every time I visit thrift stores. They have usually been marked down a time or two and are really cheap. The poor things are becoming obsolete and I just want to rescue them all! I always think what great storage pieces they could be if only given the chance. Awesome friends, I finally found one that would actually fit in my jeep: Although it was more than I wanted to spend at $50, I knew Furniture Fixer Upper Day was coming and I thought this would be a fun one … [Read more...]

Hotel Headboard Repurposed

Hello beautiful friends! Today I'm sharing what I did with a headboard that has been hanging around my stash since the end of 2014: That would be almost four years! I came across a large stack of these at a thrift store and they were all marked...ready for it...$3.49!! Here is the tag from one of them: A nearby hotel must have been doing some updating and donated several of these. I bought three of them. I redid the first one back in 2015, and the other two have been sitting in our … [Read more...]

$6 Thrift Store Mirror Makeover

Beautiful friends, I have another cheapie thrift store makeover for ya'll today! This mirror has been in my stash for probably two years now: It was only $6 so I really couldn't pass it up. It originally had hinges on either side that probably attached to two smaller mirrors on either side, and sat on a dresser. I removed the hinges and filled the holes several months ago and this is how it has sat in my storage room ever since. I decided to pull it out and just start … [Read more...]

$5 Antique High Chair Makeover

Hello lovelies!! I have a quick makeover for ya'll today! Can I tell you how excited I am to dive back into painting? Now that our kitchen is complete and our landscaping is done, AND the cooler weather is on the way. (I hope!) Today I'm sharing the simple makeover of this high chair I picked up for $5 at the thrift store at the beginning of the Summer: It was really dirty, almost like it had been stored in a barn or shed for about 50 years. I just loved it though and had to bring … [Read more...]

Front Landscaping Reveal!

Awesome friends, I am SO excited to share how our front landscaping turned out!! I just love landscaping projects! You can see great results in a short amount of time. (Unlike a certain kitchen project ahem...can you tell I am so glad that one is done??) Remember what it looked like when we moved in last August: It hadn't been loved in a very long time. I passed by this house before it was even for sale after leaving another house that we were interested in. The windows were all … [Read more...]

$7 Metal Toolbox Makeover

Is there anything more fun than turning something tired and forgotten into something new and beautiful??  Amazing friends, welcome to Trash-to-Treasure Tuesday!! This is one of my favorite days of the month! Not only do I have a pretty makeover for ya'll, so do four of my favorite blogger friends! Be sure to look for their projects at the bottom. Here is what I am giving new life to this month: Fancy, no? Other than being quite faded, this metal tool box was in really great … [Read more...]

Front Landscaping Progress

Hello lovelies! I'm back today to share some progress on our landscaping! Here is a reminder of what our house looked like the day we closed on it: Everything was overgrown. See more in my previous post HERE if you missed it. Unfortunately we were unable to keep most of the existing landscape because some things had become so overgrown that it caused the smaller bushes beside them (Yes there are many small bushes in there that you can't even see!) to die off in places from lack of … [Read more...]

Our Next Big Project: Front Landscaping

Hey there dear friends! Would you believe we have already started on our next project? We are finally tackling our front landscaping!! Can I get an Amen?? That's what my neighbors are saying I'm sure! This house had been a rental for several years before we bought it last August, and the landscaping had become quite overgrown: The grass was a weedy mess as well. Those photos were taken just after we closed on it. This project was actually at the top of our list for the … [Read more...]
