Hello, dear friends and welcome to my Christmas Home Tour!
If you’re coming over from Dannyelle’s lovely home at Life is a Party, I’m so glad you’re here!
I don’t share our holiday home every year because, honestly, I rarely change up my decor. Yep. I literally open everything up and place it pretty much in the same place each year, and that suits me just fine. So, there really is no need to share photos of the very same decor in the exact same place every year, right?
This year, I did move a few things around, and I bought a couple of new things, so when my beautiful friend Krista of The Happy Housie shared that she was putting together a holiday home tour, I decided I would join in the fun!
Welcome to our holiday home!
(There’s me…and a random white van!)
The Dining Room
When you enter the front door of our home, our dining room is just to the left.
This is in stark contrast to our skeleton dinner party dining room lol! (Now that’s my holiday!)
My decor, as most of you know, is quite neutral. Lots of white with very little color, so when it comes time to decorate for Christmas, I love adding COLOR!
I love bold pops of red throughout.
You’ll also see that I love to gather things on trays. It makes them easier to move if need-be.
This tray was a silver thrift store find that I added gold gilding wax to the rim of to make it work with the golds in there, and assorted greenery makes for great filler.
I kept the hutch simple…
In this corner of our dining room is one of three trees in our house this year…
It’s mostly simple glass ornaments in red and gold…
I used to decorate it in all gold, but I added the red this year. Our real tree is in the living room, and our bedroom houses tree number three. But today, we’ll just be visiting the downstairs.
I had this gold mirror that I picked up ages ago at the thrift store and it worked great layered on my larger mirror to bring some gold to that side…
I layered a simple wreath right on top of it.
And this was the perfect spot for my Christmas box I redid a couple of weeks ago…
It was an old flatware box that was super plain. I intended to use it to hold our Christmas cards, but I like to display those, so I have it holding the cards of Christmases past instead.
Our staircase got a little fluffing up as well.
And if you pass the staircase, you’ll end up in our kitchen!
The Kitchen
Our kitchen was a dark hole when we moved in five years ago.
You can see what it looked like before in our kitchen makeover reveal HERE.
Using a tray on our island to display Christmas decor is is necessary in our house since it gets moved several times a day!
As you can see not only do I love red at the holidays, I also love a touch of whimsy!
This little snowman is new this year. He’s one of three I bought at a craft market Thanksgiving weekend.
How cute is he?
I wish now that I had kept the artist’s card to share, but she is from Tennessee. There’s another from her in our living room.
My shelves in here got a couple of Christmas touches as well…
I found this snowman a couple of years ago…I just love snowmen!
Only 19 days till Christmas, y’all! Can you even believe it?
Here is another snowman I bought from a different artist…
Just look at that sweet face…
Looking back from the living room…
The Living Room
I’ll conclude our tour in the living room!
The kitchen opens up to the living space…
I normally have a sofa table at the back of the sectional there, but it and the lamps that were on it obstructed the view lol.
Don’t look at the seams that need ironing on the skirt of my slipcover…I said don’t look! Ha ha…I need to pull it down a couple of inches while I’m at it…oh well.
We keep our real tree with our “real” ornaments in this room since this is where we gather.
This tree is filled with my most special ornaments!
Thank you again, Mary! 🙂
We use our table in here to gather around for Christmas games, so I put this decor on a tray as well to make it easy to move…
That little shadow box was made from a thrift store clock HERE.
And this is another of the snowpeople I bought this year…
I loved how every one the lady had was different and unique.
I usually put our tree in this corner where this chair lives, but the trees were unusually skinny this year, so it fit in the other corner.
And a view from that corner looking back…
And that is our Christmas 2022 home tour!
I hope you enjoyed it since it may be a while until I share it again!
The next stop on the tour takes you to the gorgeous home of Jenn from Clean and Scentsible!

Your home looks beautiful, perfectly festive and I so enjoyed ‘looking’ around. Those snowmen figures are adorable. I have to admit I bring out the same boxes year after year, but they hold so many memories and every year I add a little something, I have far to much for my tiny home, but who cares, its Christmas. Thanks so much for sharing.xx
Christy says
Thank you so much, Janette! I’m so glad you enjoyed it! I always enjoy pulling out all the goodies that have been tucked away all year. It would be a shame to keep buying all new things! Enjoy all your treasures! Merry Christmas! XOXO
Mary Kaiser says

I can’t imagine putting up 3 Christmas trees, but you do Christmas so well! You do everything so well!! Christy says

Christy says
Thank you so much, Janie! That is about the only thing that came with the house that I liked lol! I bought all the rest of our light fixtures in the same chrome to match it. Merry Christmas! XOXO

Denise Cox says
It’s lovely, Christy, and thank- you for sharing! Funny, I was recently thinking how I couldn’t recall you ever doing a Christmas home tour ( I’ve only been following you 3-4 yrs.). And BINGO… what do I find this am…lolo?! My favorites are the hutch and the tray on the kitchen island..Trays are sooo versatile and I use one on my coffee table every season. Snowmen have ALWAYS been my favorite! Perhaps because I really decorate with WINTER in mind, and not so much Christmas. I used to become so depressed and sad when the decorations came down that I decided to take down only the tree, and keep up the rest until mid January. Things still look ” bleak” around the apt. , but I know that it won’t be long until I can start Spring decorating in April. So, I call it my Winter/ Christmas decorating. I love your touches of red. When I was married, I used a lot greenery ( faux) with red ribbons/ berries, etc. Nothin’ like red & green to speak the season of Christmas!! Again, your home is beautiful!!
Christy says
Thank you so much, Denise! Yep, I only share every few years since nothing changes much lol. Snowmen are my favorite too and they sure can stay up all winter! I’m so glad you enjoyed the tour! Enjoy the season, my friend! XOXO
Joyce says
Your house is lovely. I have so many collections that my house looks like I’m a hoarder! Lol. I haven’t opened my paint box yet…still I decorating mode! Merry Christmas and thanks for sharing!
Christy says
Thank you, Joyce! Ha ha…there is so much cute decor out there that it is hard to resist buying it lol! Enjoy decorating! XOXO
Cecilia says
Love the pops of red everywhere. I laughed at your comment about putting decor in the same spot. I think mine is different every year because I can’t remember what I did the year before. 😂 I was totally lazy this year too and only put up one tree. I love yours-they look so pretty! Went down the rabbit hole of looking at your bedroom and porch plus furniture refinishing. Your blog continues to be my favorite!
Merry Christmas!
Cecilia
Christy says
Thank you, Cecilia! Ha ha! Well at least that helps to change yours up from year to year! I cheat sometimes and look at my old blog tours to see what I had where lol. And I truly appreciate that!! Merry Christmas! XOXO
Ann Williams says
Thank you so much for sharing! Your house and decorations are absolutely beautiful and I could look at it every year!!! Have a wonderful Christmas and thanks for sharing all year long!🙏💕
Christy says
Aww thank you so much, Ann! It is my pleasure! Enjoy the season!! XOXO
Lynne says
Your house looks gorgeous, I also love neutral decor with pops of red at Christmas! I also love how you incorporate decor from one room to another seamlessly. The tray in your kitchen is beautiful, and all of the greenery also. Is the greenery real? It certainly looks it, if not where did you get it? Thank you for sharing your beautiful home!
Christy says
Thank you so much, Lynne! The greenery is all faux and I found most of it at Pier One. Too bad they went out of business…I would hit up their after Christmas sales to see what I could score on the cheap! That’s when I picked up the greenery! XOXO
Trudy says
You certainly have great style! In everything you do. I always look forward to your posts. I was sad to see nothing of faith in your Christmas decor, then true meaning of Christmas.
Christy says
Aww thank you, Trudy! My faith is in my heart, it doesn’t need to be on display in our home. XOXO
Jen says
Love your classic styling. It feels so nostalgic and inviting. The red and gold colours just pop against all the white.
Christy says
Thanks so much, Jen! XOXO
Niki says
Very cozy- and I like the touch of whimsy with the snow people. I also liked the toboggan propped up by the fireplace. Most of your decor could stay up all winter with just a change out in color. Thanks for sharing Christy!
Christy says
Thank you, Niki! I love a little whimsy! And that is so true…much of it is more wintery! XOXO
Denise Zdziennicki says

Sharon L Austin says
Simply gorgeous! I wish I had the discipline to stick to one color and/or theme throughout the whole house, but I’m all over the place LOL Merry Christmas!!
Christy says
Thank you, Sharon! Ha ha that’s okay…you have to do whatever makes you happy! Enjoy the season, my friend! XOXO
Janice B. says

So very lovely, Christy! Always love seeing little Lyla – she is no doubt the favorite “ornament”❤️. We have 3 trees, too, this year, decorated with ornaments collected over many years of marriage. I do use trays too – most likely copying you🙂 Thanks for sharing – every year would not disappoint me! Hoping you & your sweet family have a blessed Christmas & New Year!🎄

Christy, I love your Christmas decor. I’m really loving the white and red. My home decor is mostly white (and beige) and I’m thinking of introducing pops of red into my decor. I’m loving your snowmen too, haven’t seen anything down my way quite as nice. xo
Christy says
Thank you, Petra! That’s the nice thing about our decor…we can add pops of any color we like! I think you’ll love the red! Those snowmen were too cute to pass up. They were selling like hotcakes too! XOXO
Kim says
Marvelous as always! A couple questions…I have a front door like yours and don’t know what I should use to attach items to the glass on the door. Also, I love your tree star in the dining room. Please share where you got it. Enjoy Jack and setting up your village! Thanks
Christy says
Thank you so much, Kim! I use a command hook on our front door and it works great! I don’t recall exactly where I got the star…but it was either Michaels or Hobby Lobby. It was a few years ago. And thank you…he’ll be home later this week so that will be fun! XOXO
Michele M. says
Love, love love, Christy!!!!!
Your home is so cute and festive and whimsical!
The lady who made your new snowmen is very talented. I *extra* like the one holding the wreath. Super adorbz!
Christy says
Thank you so much, Michele! She had so many cute ones! She even had some that were holding there heads in there hands lol…I thought that might be a bit sinister for Christmas, but they were funny and I really liked them ha ha! XOXO

A+++!!!!! I am a red and green festive girl too!!!! I know what you mean about certain things just have their “place” and they go in the same place every year. I do make little changes…usually with new additions. Heck ya only see it once a year!!!
You have done sooooo many wonderful improvements to your home.
Christy says
Thank you so much, my friend!! Yes…traditional colors all the way here! I did do a more neutral/wintery Christmas look like way back in 2015 or so and I really missed the color! Have a wonderful holiday season!! XOXO
