And…we’re back! Welcome to the second part of my spooky reveal! Today, I’m sharing my Indoor Halloween Decor Tour with a fabulous skeleton dinner party!
If you missed the outside, You can see that HERE!
Let’s jump right in!
Indoor Halloween Decor Tour
I left you here yesterday:
There’s still time to turn back!!
Okay, come on in!
When you enter our home, you run right into the staircase, and to the left is our dining room, and the skeleton party awaits!
Skeleton DInner Party
At Halloween, our spooky friends move in and host a month-long skeleton dinner party!
I’ll make my way around the table so you can meet all the guests!
It’s so easy to turn thrifty finds into perfect Halloween decor by just spray painting it all black!
That lamp in the corner has a bulb that flickers eerily at night…the lamp was a thrift store find. I removed the fabric from the shade and just spray painted it. (The table is a round bar stool from Jack’s room.)
Jack’s bow tie also came in handy…
That’s what happens when he’s away at college…I just pilfer whatever I need from his room ha ha!
The dresses are from the thrift store too…those tiny sizes are plenty at the thrift store!
That mirror and the sconces were both thrift store finds that I sprayed black also.
I’ve collected most of my pieces over the last decade or so.
I always enjoy unpacking it and displaying it all.
When I was foraging for large branches for our outdoor display, I found several smaller branches to paint black and use as my centerpiece…
I’ve spray painted thrift store floral arrangements black in the past also, and they work great too!
The candelabras came from Michaels a few years ago when I started bringing the party inside…
The faux candles flicker life-like at night. They’re awesome because they are on timers and would probably add a touch of cozy to any space no matter the season. I found them HERE.
We cover the doorways to the kitchen with black curtains as not to ruin the effect to those looking in from outside at night!
The jars along each step are hard to see in daylight, but each holds a tealight that also runs on a timer and glows at night.
I made this Quilled skull art with paper way back in 2013! Wow that was a long time ago!
That post is a SUPER oldie and it shows ha ha! But, the art has held up very well!
I have found my skeletons at several places over the years, but my favorites are the $40 ones from Target, they have held up the best so far.
And that concludes this year’s daylight Halloween tour! I hope you enjoyed it as much as I enjoy putting everything together!!
I’ll be back as we near Halloween with a special nighttime edition that I think I’ll video instead so you can get the full effect!
Meanwhile, I have the final two pieces of my huge Summer Haul to complete for next week… these two frames:
I hope you all have an amazing weekend!!
UPDATE: See what these frames became HERE now!
XOXO,
Don’t Miss a Thing!
If you like what you see, there are several ways to follow along!
Mary Kaiser says
Wow, I see this every year but am still amazed at the transformation of your house for halloween. I love the spray painted black branches you use for the centerpiece. It is so fun to see it every year! I love the guest formal wear, so classy! Good job! Looking forward to seeing it all at night again, video would be so fun!
Christy says
Aww thanks, my friend! I so enjoy setting it all up every year! I’m definitely going to video it at night! XOXO
Bridget Janes says
Your Halloween decor is absolutely amazing. Love it. You have such a gift for looking outside the box, with your creativity. Everything you do is wonderful. Thanks for all your inspiration. I’ve learned a lot from you.
Christy says
Aww thanks so much, Bridget!! I really appreciate that!! XOXO
Christina says
I think this is the best year of Halloween decorations! Truly spooky and fun! You really outdid yourself. I can’t wait to see it at night!
Christy says
Thank you so much, Christina! I enjoy setting up the dining room the most!! XOXO
Cecilia says
Yay!! Lol, I love how they are chatting with each other. Oh my gosh, this is so fun! I know lots of people are uptight about Halloween so it’s nice to see your display every year. I mean, for me, it’s always been about having fun. And I had to laugh when I saw your frames at the end of the post…when I first saw them, I thought they were just spooky pictures on the wall (because of how they are stacked and crooked). Ha. Can’t wait to see the nighttime view. Hope you do pictures too because my internet is spotty and sometimes I can’t watch the videos, although that would be a fun one to watch.
Christy says
Thank you, Cecilia! I couldn’t agree more…Halloween is all about fun! And that 80’s duck picture is pretty scary ha ha! Have a great weekend! XOXO
Teresa Farrell says
I am speechless. I want to leave with you🤣🤣🤣🤣

Dianna Blea says
I’m new to your following…so this is the first I’ve see of your Halloween decor. Love it!!! I just have a couple questions…where on Earth do you store all that stuff and how many boxes/tubs does it take to store it all?
Christy says
Oh awesome! Thank you, Dianna! I’m so glad I didn’t scare you away lol! We store it all in our attic and we have quite a few boxes to bring down for sure!! XOXO
Carolyn Homan says
Christy, you are the most creative person I have ever seen on a blog!! Your Halloween displays are beyond most imaginations! I love the furniture pieces, too! The black drop leaf table with the stencil is one of my favorites! Your blog gives me so much pleasure! Thank you and keep us amazed!
Christy says
Oh my goodness, Carolyn, I appreciate that SO much! Thank you!! I am so happy to share and enjoy it with all of you!! XOXO
Kimmylouwho says
I love seeing your Halloween display each year with the little changes you have made! It is SO awesome and I sure all the neighbor kids think it is the coolest house! Very, very special!
Christy says
Thank you so much! It is hard to make it completely different each year, but I like to try to switch a few things up. I’m so glad you enjoy it! The neighborhood kids really do too! XOXO
Tracy says
Oh my! This is just awesome! Absolutely love it🖤💀
Christy says
Thanks so much, Tracy! XOXO
Denise Cox says
I LOVE IT! It’s hard work, but fun putting together, I’m sure. Great job!!!!
Christy says
Thank you, Denise! I’m so glad you enjoyed it! I do really enjoy putting it all together! XOXO
Pat says
I love seeing your halloween decorations every year. It is amazing! What fun! I do wonder how do you pack up all the skeletons, what do you put them all in?
Christy says
Thank you, Pat! I have several bins to store everything, and it goes in our attic. The arms and legs of the skeletons fold flat and I can store several skeletons in a bin without the lid. XOXO
dee says
Always love your Hallo decor….indoors and out! How did you get the skellie lady to stand next to the table? I’m trying to stand one of mine and so far no luck.
Thanks,
Dee
Christy says
Aww thank you, Dee! She is pretty stiff and will stand there leaning against the table without any assistance, but every once in a while, she will buckle and tip over. You can wire them in to a table leg or chair also with craft wire. XOXO
VAL says
Amazing Halloween decoration! Iwonder how spooky it must be when it´s dark with the flickering lamp! I´m not shure if i woke up in the middle of the night , i would be able to go to the kitchen to have a glass of water and glimpse at the dinning room: this skeleton party seems too real!!!
Christy says
Thank you, Val!! I have the lights on a timer now, but the first year I set up the dining room, I had to go in there at night and turn them off. I’m usually the last one up, so it was kind of spooky lol! XOXO
Debbie in TX says
Once again, very well done with so much attention to detail! My favorite things are the wonderful china cabinet decorations as well as the classy formal wear, which really takes things up a notch. Way to go!
Christy says
Thanks so much, my friend! It was so fun shopping for fancy outfits lol! XOXO
Celia says
I love your display, especially the formal dresses on the “ladies”! Since I volunteer at a large thrift store I see some amazing things and they always have beautiful vintage dresses for sale! By the way love your chandelier despite the coverup on it.
Christy says
Thank you, Celia! I don’t often get to shop for fancy gowns, so it was fun to shop for these “ladies”! The chandelier is so pretty all lit up! XOXO
Constance Colvin says
Oh Christy! You are the original over-achiever! The only downside is that you make the rest of us feel like total slouches! Does everyone in your neighborhood love love love it? I hope you get lots of strokes from lots of folks (-:
Christy says
Oh ha ha! I just love setting it all up, and the neighbors really get a kick out of it! XOXO
Michele M. says
Oh, my word, you guys are soooo much fun! Look at that, would ya!??!!
I was at my grocers yesterday and saw they had spooky scary real wine – called Freakshow! It would look so awesome on that table, haha.
Christy says
Thanks, Michele! I need that wine for our dinner party!! XOXO
Cathy M. says
Next profession, set designer! Awesome job Christy, right down to every last detail! I can’t wait for the video! : )
Christy says
Ooh wouldn’t that be such a fun job?? Thank you, Cathy!! XOXO

Christy says
Aww thank you so much, Connie! XOXO
Mary says
I’m not one to do decorating for Halloween anymore, but I just had to laugh out loud at the staging of the skeletons talking to each other! Oh that tickled my funny bone…you have them staged SO lifelike Christy 🙂 🙂 Your creativity abounds! Can’t wait to see your followup nighttime video. Your neighbors are in for a real treat and I bet your house is the most visited on the block 🙂
Christy says
Thank you, Mary! I’m so glad you got a kick out of it! It is really fun to set them all up! XOXO
Elise says
OOOH! I love those spooky and well-dressed diners— Christy, your attention to detail is always stellar! Where did you get those wonderful plates and the circle of skulls around the center vase?? Such cool touches. I anticipate the night viewing…
Christy says
Thanks so much, Elise! The plates came from Target a few years ago as did the mini skulls. They came in a pack of about 10 or so! XOXO
Sharon L Austin says
Love it, as always! Still anxiously awaiting the video though. LOL
Christy says
Thank you, Sharon! XOXO
Shirley says
This is so awesome and I’m so glad I get to see things like this every year online and anywhere else I can find it. I just love this! I’ve wanted to do this for years but for various reasons never did. Keep the spooking up for as many years as you can!

Sandra W Magle says
I can just hear the clicking of the jaws of these ‘guests’ as they chatter away having a great time. This is so much fun. What isn’t fun is all the jamming ads, popups and videos that make this post a chore to look at. So much creativity if you have the patience to slog through it all! Thanks for saring! Sandi
Christy says
Ha ha! It really is fun! And I am so sorry about the ads…there shouldn’t be any pop ups as I have everything set so you can scroll by. However, every quarter my ad network makes adjustments and often adds more ads in my content and I have to call and have them scale back. Looks Like I need to make a call, thank you so much! XOXO
Denise Zdziennicki says
So much spooky fun! I always enjoy seeing your Halloween Decor… the extent of mine is a pumpkin on my porch!🤣
Christy says
I’m so happy you enjoy it! It is fun for me to do! And hey…a pumpkin on the porch sounds real good when the time to take all this stuff down rolls around lol! XOXO
