Hello lovelies!! Today I am so excited to share my brand new haul! I kept thinking that I needed a few more things and a few more things and…a few more things. But, when I finally dragged it all out into my driveway this weekend, I realized that I had a TON of stuff for this haul! In fact, it is my largest haul yet!
A quick note first…if you missed the memo about Gator Hide being back in stock, it finally is! Or, it was. Although I ordered what I thought was plenty, it was all sold by last night. No worries though, I have more on the way!! You can sign up to be notified when it’s back by going to the listing HERE and clicking the Waitlist Available tab.
Ok, let’s get to this new haul, shall we?
Just look at all these treasures!!
There is a really nice mix of things in this haul.
Up first is this piece that belonged to the boyfriend of one of my besties:
I mistakenly thought it was being offered to me for free when I agreed to take it, however, it cost me $75. It is a hot mess…musty with chipping and damaged veneer in several places, but I am looking forward to loving this one back to life!
Next up is this pretty mirror I picked up last week for $20:
That’s more than I usually pay for mirrors, but I loved it and I know I’ll recoup my money.
I loved this next one too…this candelabra I picked up for $7:
I was $14, but I kept passing it up when I saw it until it was half off. it will be so pretty painted!
Next up is this clock many of us had back in the 80’s/90’s:
It was $8.75 which wasn’t the best deal, but I did have a full punch card which earned me 20 % off.
Here’s another clock I picked up for $4.75:
I thought it would be cute painted in a fun color!
How about this solid night table I paid $20 for?
That was a pretty good deal!
I found a few smalls also like this frame for $2.98:
And this set of candlesticks for $8.75:
I always grab candlesticks when I find a set of them for a decent price, and I was able to use my 20% off on that set also.
I was oddly attracted to this old tea kettle for $2.95:
I have a cute idea for this one though!
And how about this metal waste basket that was $4?
I have an idea to repurpose this one!
This metal wall candle holder was another piece I passed up when it was full price:
It’s super heavy and I really liked it. When it was half off of $14, I caved.
I found a few baskets on my hunts like this one I picked up for half off of $6.25:
I redid one similar to this years ago.
I also found this small one for $3.25:
And this one that I think will be really cute redone for $3.25 as well:
And then one more… this one that I got for $4.25:
I’ll probably share all of those in one post.
I always end up with a few lamps.
First up is this one that was half off of $8.75:
This is another piece that I passed on until it was marked down. It needs a new cord, but I liked the details and the glass!
I found this set of lamps for $5 a piece:
I thought they had some pretty details also.
And this one was a steal at half off of $4.75:
And finally, this smaller one I found for $5.75:
This drop leaf side table is another piece I was able to use my 20% off on, so it was $10.75 with 20% off:
This half moon table was also $10:
This chair was a freebee that came out of my hubby’s office at work:
I probably would have never looked twice at this one, but things are suddenly more appealing when they’re FREE, right?!
This tray looked like it could use some love, and it’s super chunky, so for $6, I brought it home:
This dresser caught my eye outside of one of our thrift stores. As I was standing in line to buy it, they announced that all furniture was half off, so instead of paying $65, it was only $33!
I thought $65 was already a great deal! It does need some work on the drawers though, and it has a smell.
On that same trip, I also got this rocker for half off:
It was marked $18.75, and I would have left it there for that price had they not announced half off all furniture, so I got it for $9.
On different trip, I picked up another child’s rocker:
This one was only $6.75, and I got an additional 20% off this peice also. A great deal! Kids’ furniture usually sells pretty quickly in my booth.
I found this next one in my neighbor’s booth at the antique mall:
She had it priced at $26, but her entire booth was half off, so I got it for only $13! It is super rickety and the paint job isn’t great but I think there’s definitely hope for this one!
This next piece I liked for the wide frame:
It was half off of $8.75. I find lots of half off deals because the Goodwill has a different color of tag marked 50% off each week.
Here is another wall piece that I picked up for $15:
It was a bit pricey, but I thought it would be a quick update for my booth.
I found a few more mirrors as well.
I found this simple one and another very similar:
I paid $11 for both of them.
I also found this smaller mirror for half off of $12:
It had already been spray painted, but I thought the detail was interesting.
This corkboard is another piece I thought could be a quick flip for my booth maybe with a little fabric?
It was on clearance for $4.98.
I always find a few interesting boxes as well.
I found this cool one for $6:
And then I picked up three flatware boxes.
Here is the first one that I found for half off of $3.75, so it was a steal!
This one was a bit more at $6.75, but it was really cute:
And then I found this really nice one for $6.75 as well:
This cabinet door has been hanging around our garage for a while, so I decided to throw it in with this haul and finally do something with it:
It came out of our kitchen above the stove when I added this DIY Range Hood Cover.
See what I did with the mate to this cabinet that I removed at the same time HERE.
This shelf is a mass-produced piece I found for $6.75:
I picked it up because shelves usually sell well in my booth. It will get a fresh new color.
I also found this wood shelf for $5:
I found that shelf and the final two pieces on my last thrift store stop.
This spindle bed was a great deal at $19.95:
But not as good a deal as this gorgeous serpentine dresser I got for $34.95:
Don’t let that photo fool you. It has chipped veneer on top and all the drawer bottoms need to be replaced. I just love those curves though and can’t wait to give this one some love!
So there you have it, my brand new haul!
It’s a good one, right?
I’ll be starting with this little lady on Thursday:
I hope to see you then!
UPDATE: This dresser is so OOH LA LA now! See it HERE!

Sue Verbaan says
Great haul! I really would hate to see you paint the burl wood serpentine dresser. Maybe the drawer fronts can be preserved😊.
Looking forward to your imaginativeness with
this huge haul.
Sue Verbaan
Christy says
Thank you, Sue! That dresser is my favorite piece, but it needs some serious TLC. The drawers are just veneer, but we’ll see where it goes! XOXO

Christy says
Aww I love that so much, Jennie! Thank you!! The only piece I think “nope” on is the chair from my hubby’s office. He was going to trash it, and I just couldn’t let him do it. That one will be a challenge lol! XOXO

Barbara says
Nice haul Christie! I can’t wait to see what you do with the half moon table. I just picked one up a couple of weeks ago for $3.99 at my local thrift store. Not quite as nice as yours. I’m thinking of taking it apart and repurposing the pieces. Maybe adding hooks to the top piece and hanging it on the wall…
Christy says
Thanks, Barbara! Fun idea to repurpose the parts of your table! Paint might be able to do wonders though. Enjoy! XOXO
Vicki says
Wow, those are some great pieces! I really love the lamps, especially the one with glass details, so pretty. Looking forward to seeing the makeovers!
Christy says
Thanks, Vicki! I’ll be tackling two lamps for Tuesday! XOXO

Diane McCormick says
Hi, Christy! I always look forward to Tuesdays and Thursdays, just to see what’s new! I have to tell you — if that freebie chair from your husband’s office is anything like mine, you might fall in love. I had one of those when I worked in a historic office in the state Capitol and guarded it with my life because it was so comfy. A couple years after I left there, I snapped up an identical chair at a flea market (as you would say, a steal at $15). Now, it’s my sewing chair. I can sit in it all day! Thanks for the weekly doses of inspiration!
Christy says
Thank you so much, Diane! You’re right, that chair is quite comfy! It may end up in my son’s room! XOXO
Cyndy Cook says
Wow! That’s a lot of stuff! Scrolling through the pictures of all this dark, brown, depressing junk, I realize that I wouldn’t even dream of bringing any of it home. That’s why your makeovers are so miraculous! By the time you’re done, they will be lovely. I can’t wait to see what you do with all these things!
Christy says
Thank you, Cyndy! I really wish I had the room to store everything as I complete each piece, so I could recreate the group image with all the afters! XOXO
Ashley says
Hi Christy! Love your latest haul of all hauls. Can’t wait to see what you do with everything. “…oddly attracted to this kettle…” — I can kind of see why! It was thoroughly loved obviously. You will make it beautiful once again! 💗🌷
Christy says
Aww thank you, Ashley! Yes, I’m thinking we had dishes that were that pattern, maybe? Who knows, but I just liked it lol! XOXO
Robin says
So excited to see these new items revealed in your future posts!
Christy says
Yay! I’m excited for all the possibilities! XOXO
Cletia says
Great haul!!! The chest is a great starting point. I see milk paint on it 😍
Christy says
Thanks, Cletia! I have a love/hate relationship with milk paint lol. I always want that authentic chippy look, but every time, too much comes off and I end up having to fix it. Maybe I’ll give it another go! XOXO
Linda Greene Kelly says
Thank you so much for this really informative post. It’s SO helpful to have someone experienced give input on prices you pay in your area. You always have beautifully detailed makeovers and we do sometimes wonder how much of an investment is involved. Happy HUNTING!
Christy says
I’m glad it was helpful, Linda! I’m pretty cheap, so I do tend to not overspend ha ha! XOXO
Constance Colvin says
Christy I CAN NOT BELIEVE your thrift store prices!!! Those prices just do not exist in Los Angeles! Either of those two awesome dressers would be marked $150.00 and up here……..and at least three times as much for lamps, candlesticks, baskets etc……your thrifting situation seems a lot more fun and satisfying! Lol…..
Christy says
Aww that stinks that your stores are so pricey! We have a huge military population moving in and out constantly, so we have a ton of thrift stores in our area. I wonder if the competition keeps prices reasonable? They actually used to be lower prepandemic! XOXO
addie says
Get busy…slacker!!!!
Christy says
Right?? HA HA!! XOXO
Patty says
I can’t wait to see what you do to the dresser. I’m bidding on one like that right on for $1.00. I’m sure it will go for ore the auction closes on Thursday. I’m also excited to see what you do to the spindle bed. I have one of those sets sitting in my garage. I was planning to make a bench, Luke you did previously. I saved that post, too!!! I always look forward to your reveals. You are so creative!!!
Christy says
Aww thank you so much, Patty! I hope you won your auction! I am going to make another bench out of the spindle bed since I haven’t made one in a while! XOXO
Michele M. says
Oh my golly what a haul! Holy cow is this going to be fun to see the magic beauty you create with these hopefuls. I am so excited for you/us, Christy! Yippeeee! (Loooooove that serpentine dresser!)
Christy says
Yay! Yes! I am super excited about working through this one! And the serpentine dresser is my favorite!! XOXO
shan says
This is going to be a fun one! How do you display your shelves in your booth? Mine font sell but I think it’s because people think they’re just for display. I’ve got some cute ones but they don’t go anywhere.
Christy says
Yes, for sure! I just hang my shelves, but I don’t usually put much on them, maybe just something small that is easy to move. XOXO
shan says
Thanks for your reply. I’ll try leaving them mostly empty.
Christy says
Sure thing! Hope it helps! 🙂
Petra says
What a fabulous inventory 🙂 Looking forward to seeing what you do to everything 🙂
Christy says
Thanks, Petra! Me too ha ha! XOXO
Sue McCombs says
You are very talented not only in redoing the pieces, but in finding interesting pieces at great prices. Really enjoy your work.
Christy says
Thank you so much, Sue! The hunt is fun for sure! XOXO
Cecelia from Georgia says
What a huge haul! I can’t wait to see what you do with the office chair. I have two stuck back in the barn that I forgot about, so give me some inspiration🤩 Stay cool!
Christy says
That is probably the one I am least inspired by, but maybe it will surprise me lol! XOXO
Jewels says
Christy, I can’t wait to see what you do with all of these lovely treasures!
Christy says
Thanks, Jewels! It will be fun to work through them all! XOXO
Carroll says
I can’t decide which piece I’m most looking forward to seeing redone, although the piece I choose is usually the last one done 🙄 I know that all the afters will be amazing and inspiring!
Christy says
Aww…my favorite is the serpentine dresser, and I do usually save something good for the end, so there is something to look forward to lol! Thank you so much, Carroll! XOXO
Marietta says
Bring it on Baby; Brng it! 🙂
Christy says
Ha ha yes!!! XOXO
Renee says
Hi!
Totally new to your site! Love it❣️
I have a drop leaf tea cart b e g g I n g to be
rejuvenated. I went thru most of your archives looking to see one – if you have . . When you have a moment, (no such thing, right? 😆) if you have a photo of one you’ve saved, would you mind sending me photos?
I am totally new to this skill and obviously need all the help I can get. I love the way you tell and describe every step of the project!
Many many thanks!
Christy says
Thank you so much, Renee! I’m so glad you found me!! Would you believe I’ve never redone a tea cart? However one of my friends has. It’s a really cute one that you can see here: https://salvagedinspirations.com/tag/vintage-tea-cart/ I hope that helps! XOXO
MrsSW says
Great haul, Christy – should keep you busy for a week or two. 😉
I was browsing your Etsy shop today and was wondering if you have used the Terra Clay Paint on anything yet? There are some gorgeous colors in that line.
Sheila
Christy says
Thank you, Sheila! I think this will last me at least until winter lol! I haven’t painted any pieces with the Terra paint yet, but I did get to play with it at the Dixie Belle conference I went to last month. It’s very cool, and there are some gorgeous colors for sure! I hope to paint something with it very soon! XOXO
