Hi there, dear friends, and welcome to Trash-to-Treasure Tuesday!! My friends are joining me today with makeovers of their own, so be on the lookout for them at the bottom!
Before I get to today’s makeover, I wanted to announce the winners of my $300 Dixie Belle Giveaway. Congratulations to Margie, Karen, and Hanna! All three ladies have been notified via email and have responded back. Thank you to everyone who entered. If you didn’t win, keep an eye out for another giveaway in the Fall!
After two rounds of smalls, HERE and HERE if you missed them, I am jumping back to my Mother’s Day Haul with this simple side table:
I had originally planned to sand the top and stain it since some of the stain had started to come off:
I’ve included a few affiliate links so you can find the products I love.
But when I sanded with my sander, I could see that it was actually veneer and had already been sanded before down below the veneer:
So, I opted for paint instead giving the base two coats of Cotton (this photo is just the first coat) and the top, two coats of this delightful Farmhouse Green:
I wanted to distress this one more than usual, so I used my orbital sander to do that this time using 220 grit sandpaper. Then I sealed with Clear Coat in Satin using the blue applicator sponge.
I finished off the look by drilling a couple of holes with my favorite petite drill so that I could add a pull to the front for a little added detail:
I don’t usually do a ton of distressing, but I liked it for this piece to add some character:
Using an electric sander is a great way to easily get this look.
This could be cute in just about any room!
I was looking for a complete set of antique wheels to add to the legs. I thought they would add a bit more charm, but I couldn’t come up with a complete matching set.
I love this green and if you have a lot of greenery, it is almost a neutral.
This pull from Hobby Lobby added some much needed charm to this otherwise plain table…
Sweet and simple!
And as promised, here are four more fantastic makeovers for you today!
And that is another project crossed of the list from my Mother’s Day Haul!

I love love love this makeover and especially the soft green on top. I have a question though – am I the only one who has problems with your blog and images taking forever to load? Sometimes, I finally have to give up. I’ve tried my phone and iPad and both have the same problem. I love your blog and want to remedy this problem. Help!
Christy says
Thank you, Susan! I haven’t had any other complaints, but I’m so sorry about that! If you open my post on mobile and on the left side of the URL box at the top, click on the “AA”, and select “show reader view”, it will show my post without the ads and my photos may load faster. XO
