Thrifty Fabric Framed Mirror

Hello beautiful people. :) Can I tell you how thankful I am that you joined me in this fun series? I knew it would be a challenge to share a makeover every single day of March, but it was so worth it. I loved meeting you guys here every day to connect over thrifty goodness! I know many of you reached out to let me know that you have been inspired. Inspired to paint, inspired to tackle projects that have been put on hold, inspired to see past the dated, dusty, plain old ugly pieces to imagine the … [Read more...]

Fabulous $7 Bulletin Board from Thrift Store Parts

We are entering the third trimester of this March Madness baby I've created! Day #21!! We're two-thirds of the way there ya'll! Many of you have mentioned that you will miss March when this is all over. Honestly, I will too. I have really enjoyed meeting you guys here each day. BUT, I'll still be here! Just not every day! So ya'll better make sure you still come by and visit me and say, "Hi" okay? Now who's ready for a makeover? Yesterday I shared this French-Inspired Coffee Table and today … [Read more...]

Rosette Picture Frame

Hi friends! It's day 13 here in my March Madness series and today I'm sharing a super sweet way to update a plain picture frame. Frames are one thing I look out for when I'm thrifting because they can be transformed so many different ways. It's funny that I rarely use them as actual picture frames though. This time is different. I found this swanky (eh not so much) oak picture frame at a yard sale: It was in a box of frames very similar but in varying sizes. The whole box was $2! That … [Read more...]

Fancy Chalkboards

Hi friends! Welcome to day two of March Madness! Today I'm sharing some pretty fancy chalkboards. Here is how they started: Ooh gold is pretty fancy, right? I picked these up at an estate sale for $10 for all three!!! Two of them had paintings in them when I bought them. The prices were SO cheap! I decided to paint them and add chalk boards to them. Here they are all dressed up and ready to go to market:   Not quite as fancy as the gold, but still pretty fancy for … [Read more...]

Magnetic Message Board

Hello my lovelies! As I confessed the other day, my dining table has been on a bit of an, er delay. Yes that's what we'll call it. I am now regrouping and have plan B all set to go. I found a fabulous fabric for the chairs that I shared on facebook, so I'm excited to get working on those this weekend as well! Today I'm sharing a couple more easy frame upcycles. I put these together a few weeks ago when I was trying to gather some things to photograph for my application to the Christmas Market … [Read more...]

Chicken Wire Message Board

While I had my chicken wire at the ready, after just finishing this little $5 thrift store cabinet, I threw together this quick and easy chicken wire message board: I  used my staple gun to attach the chicken wire to the inside of the frame. This is certainly not a new concept, but I just can't get over the before and after on this one and had to share. Here is what it looked like before: I dragged this painting home from a yard sale a couple of weeks ago. It cost me all of … [Read more...]

This Small Mirror Makes a Big Impact

How do you like my new mirror? Bold, right? I like that it makes a BIG impact. If I'd have seen this at Home Goods, this would have gone straight into my cart. That above pic is from my most recent Summer Home Tour. It was so simple to make. It's actually a smaller mirror mounted onto plywood that's framed out. The title of this post should have been, "From Epic Fail to Awesome".  This project started with a plan to use the mirror below that was removed from the boys' bathroom last summer, … [Read more...]
