Standing Outdoor Halloween Sign

Hey sweet Friends! Do ya'll get into Halloween? I know of a few of ya'll that do, but my guess is that most people do not.  Around here, we really have fun with it! We are still tweaking this year's outdoor decorations at the moment. It has been fun decorating a new house! One of my favorite projects I've created for Halloween started with this mailbox box post I found at the Home Depot for $28: I knew it would be perfect to recreate this sign  I saw at BHG.com a couple of years ago. I … [Read more...]

DIY Halloween Sign

Hi there! It's time once again for our Power Tool Team to bust out the power tools and build something! You may remember last month's Fall theme inspired me to build this little rustic crate: DIY ReclaimedWood Crate Well this month's theme is "Frightful" and perfectly fitting for October. We really like to go all out at my house for Halloween, and the kids in my neighborhood get a huge kick out of it. I knew when I saw this sign at BHG.com a few months ago that I must have one for our … [Read more...]

Halloween Vignette {A Décor Challenge!}

Hi Friends!! It's officially Spooktober around here, and today I am sharing my entry table all decked out to welcome Halloween as part of this month's Décor Challenge. We are finishing off the year the same way we came in, with a one space, three ways challenge. I chose my Dining Room Hutch for the first time around, but I decided to change things up this time. Instead I chose this little table in our entry way: (You can see its makeover here.) I usually keep it pretty simple. … [Read more...]

From Tea Towels to Halloween Pillows

Hi Friends! I'm back with a much simpler sewing project today! I'm sharing what I did with these fun Halloween tea towels I found at Homegoods last year.  I originally shared this project on another blog as a contributor then, but never got a chance to share it with you! We love Halloween at our house. Every year we each get to pick something new to add to our Halloween display. You can see our Spooky Outdoor Halloween Tour from last year here. We put a LOT into our outdoor display, but … [Read more...]

Simple Halloween Soap Dispenser

Hi friends! Today I'm sharing a super simple way to turn an ordinary soap dispenser into something boo-rific! I shared this on my friend, Mandy's blog last week and I thought you might enjoy it too. I started with a bottle of Dial Gold hand soap. This was 88¢ at Walmart: I peeled off the labels. They will not likely peel off and leave a nice clean smooth surface. But, I used De-solv-it citrus scented adhesive remover to remove the residual adhesive, which took all of two minutes. (I've … [Read more...]

Halloween Wreath {from a Cabinet Door}

Hi there beautiful friends! Today I'm sharing my new Halloween Wreath that I made using a salvaged cabinet door. But first you may notice my text is pink! In hopes of promoting breast cancer awareness, today I'm joining Holly Bertone's campaign to Paint the Blogosphere Pink! As a nurse, I have seen so many lives affected by breast cancer.
