Headboard Bench Update

Hello beautiful friends and welcome to Trash-to-Treasure Tuesday!! Turning old or forgotten items into new treasures is my absolute favorite, and it is even more fun when I get to do it with some of my favorite treasure-maker friends! Be sure to look for links to their projects at the bottom. Today I am breathing new life into this headboard bench I picked up at a craft market about 15 years ago: This was long before I had ever attempted a headboard bench of my own. Window turned Shadow Box

Hello my sweets! Yesterday was a busy day around the James house gearing up for one of our favorite nights of the year. We had such a great time, and at the end of the day, all the hard work we put into Halloween was so worth it! Here's my little man in his Minecraft costume: He had to pick a super bulky costume, but at least he made it up and down the whole street this time. He usually only makes it a few houses! And here is me and my date for the evening: Ha ha … [Read more...]

Outdoor Halloween Tour 2018

Hello freaktastic friends and Happy Hallow's Eve! Welcome to my Outdoor Halloween Tour mwah ha ha! This year's Halloween decor is inspired by my Dead and Breakfast Inn sign: (See how I made that HERE.) It's all about the dead...as in Skeletons! They are living it up at the Inn this year! I ended up not adding a bunch of webbing this time because pretty much as soon as I got everything out, we had hurricane warnings and everything had to be brought back … [Read more...]

$4 Breadbox Makeover

Hello amazing friends! I have a pretty little makeover for ya'll today! I spied this breadbox for $4 at the thrift store last week: I see breadboxes all the time at thrift stores, but I thought this one was so pretty! I've included a few affiliate links so you can find the products I use. I haven't done anything with a Frenchy feel in a while, but that is exactly what I pictured for this beauty!   Such a pretty home for your bread, don't you think? For this … [Read more...]

The Best Deal I ever got at a Thrift Store

Hello dear friends! I had hoped to have a new project finished to share today, but with hurricane Michael heading our way, I spent Thursday taking down pretty much every Halloween decoration I had outside, and securing our outdoor furniture, trampoline, etc. I am so glad I took the time to do all that though because we got some serious winds Thursday night, gusting up to 75 mph at times. We are so fortunate that our area sustained very little damage as compared to many others who weren't so … [Read more...]
