$24 Estate Sale Cabinet Makeover

Amazing friends, can I tell you how nice it was to get away for a few days? Our boys are on Spring break this week, so we decided to head to D.C. to see the museums and monuments. There is so much to see! If you ever get the chance to go, be sure to visit the National Archives Museum. We got to see the original Declaration of Independence, the Constitution, among tons of other super cool documents from our nation's history. Here is my favorite thing I found at the Smithsonian National Museum … [Read more...]

Hello lovelies! Today I'm taking ya'll on a trip to my booth. For those of you that may be new here, welcome! I have a booth space at the Virginia Beach Antique Mall here in Virginia Beach where I sell most of the pieces I blog about. Let's start where we left off in November, shall we? Many of these pieces are taste specific and need just the … [Read more...]

$6 Thrift Store End Table (& a Video on How to Line a Drawer with Fabric)

Hey there, beautiful friends! Who's up for a sweet makeover? Today's project piece is this end table I picked up for $6.25 at the thrift store: Can you believe it was only $6? It looked more like this when I found it: The legs had been removed and tucked inside. Maybe that's why it was so cheap. I didn't attempt to assemble it in the store to make sure it would go back together properly, but for that price, I figured I would take my chances. I don't usually pick up … [Read more...]

Estate Sale Shelving Unit Makeover

Hey there amazing friends! I'm back with my Furniture Fixer Upper girls sharing the first piece of my brand new haul!! I am super excited about this one! First, here is my new stack of goodies ready and waiting to be transformed: I actually found some decent furniture pieces this time, thanks mostly to an estate sale that I visited last weekend. I get really discouraged with the estate sales in our area because they are so incredibly overpriced! This one actually wasn't too bad … [Read more...]

Dated Night Table Makeover

Hello sweet friends, and welcome to Trash-to-Treasure Tuesday! Ya'll know how much I love to make over trash. I was searching high and low for something really trashy to makeover for this occasion, but alas I came up empty. Booooo. Instead I'm bringing you the next piece in my latest thrift store haul. Even if it isn't so trashy, it's a fun makeover nonetheless.  My project started out like this: There is a shelf that looks like it's missing, but it is lying on the bottom there. … [Read more...]

$12 Oak Night Table Makeover

Dear friends, welcome back! I am rolling right through this second bunch of thrift store finds! Today's makeover is this oak night table I scored for $12 on the same stop where I found this tufted foot stool I shared a couple of weeks ago: An oak night table with free dirt for only $12? Yes, please! This poor thang. It was a hot mess and it was SO dirty! If it weren't so big, I would swear it had fallen between the counter and refrigerator and had been left there for a couple of … [Read more...]

Amazing friends, welcome back! It's Furniture Fixer Upper Day which means not only do I have a furniture flip for ya'll, so do my talented friends! You can find their projects at the bottom! My project piece for today is this coffee table I picked up for $30: I was having terrible luck thrifting the day I found this and was about to call it quits. Then I decided to make one more stop and found this! It had just been brought out onto the floor that day. Sometimes you just have to be in … [Read more...]

Drop Leaf Side Table Makeover

Hello sweet friends!! Can I tell you how relieved I am that I finally finished that dang drop-leaf table? So I had planned to share this pretty piece on Thursday: Unfortunately I ran into major issues with the paint job on top. I had painted the entire piece with one coat of DIY chalk paint using a flat black paint my Hubby had picked up for another project. I decided it wasn't quite black enough, so I followed up with a coat of leftover Country Chic Paint I had on hand. The only … [Read more...]

How to Recover a Tufted Footstool (The Cheater’s Way!)

Lovely friends, welcome back! I am working my way through thrifty haul #2 and the next item on the chopping block is this tufted footstool I scored for only $12: What a bargain! I fell in love with the legs and the bow front on this beauty right away, and it was so super soft and comfy. That's where the love affair ended though because the rest was crying SOS. When I first saw it I actually thought I might just buy it for the legs and maybe I could use them on something else. But after … [Read more...]
