Hello, my dear friends! It’s Christmas Eve (already??) and I wanted to stop by and wish everyone a very Merry Christmas if that is what your family celebrates! I’m also sharing the outside of our home decorated for Christmas! If you missed the inside, you can see that HERE.
When we first moved to this house two years ago, we set up our Santa’s workshop that we built to display at our old house, in our new front yard. However, it kind of looked like a pea on a mountain in our new yard since our new yard spans the width of our house, whereas our old yard was very small and suited Santa’s workshop much better. You can see more of that at our old house HERE.
So after the first year, we dismantled the workshop. Now we keep the decor a little more traditional.
I took photos both at night and during the day so you can see both.
Let’s start with a wide view of our Christmas home in the daytime:
It looks cold to me during the day, but it really warms up at night:
Our master bedroom is the room with the lit tree in the window upstairs to the right.
Our shrubs are too small still really to add lights to, so instead, I decided to hang party lights all across the porch ceiling for a cozy warm glow.
Well, it’s cozy at night anyway!
And remember the ski arrangements I shared a couple of years ago? I found the skis in my neighbor’s curbside trash pile! (Zero shame!)
The door swag came from Michaels a couple of years ago:
One of my besties from high school was selling this vintage sleigh a couple of years ago and I snatched it up:
The porch looks so inviting…
Although we never sit out here, it’s a nice way to welcome guests! I found all the pillows and the throw a couple of years ago at HomeGoods.
And you can see what a nice warm glow the lights add at night…
They kind of remind me of lights you might see at a Christmas tree lot.
I was looking for real trees to add to my planters on either side of the bench that I could plant later, but they wanted upwards of $40 for each! Then I found these faux trees at Hobby Lobby for a fraction of that price that were perfect!
I have a covered porch, so I don’t expect to see them rust, at least they haven’t yet. It probably wouldn’t hurt to spray the metal areas with a clear sealer.
The wreaths were my Mother-in-Laws. They were brand new in the box and she was getting ready to sell them at the flea market. I claimed them real quick!
The garland is a mix of my really old garland and some new I bought the year before last, and I found the bows ready-made at Hobby Lobby…
And that’s our Christmas outdoor tour!
I hope you enjoyed it!
A great big THANK YOU for all your support and encouragement throughout the year!
From our family to yours, we wish you the happiest of holidays!
I’m going to enjoy some downtime for the next week and I’ll see y’all back here next Tuesday with my top Furniture Makeovers of the year!

Your home looks so warm and welcoming. The strung lights really warm up the outside and your decorations are spot on gorgeous.
The bench outside is reminiscent of the one in the 1947 movie Life With Father. 🙂
