Can’t get more creative than that for a title, eh? Fall wreath, the end.
That’s right, today I am sharing my new Fall wreath. Maybe by hanging this on my front door, I can miraculously make this heat wave disappear? Go away heat, my wreath says it’s Fall!
Okay enough jibber jabber, let’s get to the good stuff! We are coming up on week #2 of our Get Your DIY on Fall Party Challenge and guess what our theme is? Fall wreaths!
I really love all the fresh new ideas in wreaths that are floating around the blogosphere, but I must have cut class the day they were going over all that at craft college. For this challenge, I couldn’t dream up anything other than your traditional mainstream Fall wreath.
And here is her big debut:
I made this one very similar to my DIY Summer Wreath. I purchased all of my stems at Michaels and I picked up the wreath for $1.98 at the thrift store.
I finished my wreath off with a pretty bow. If you aren’t sure how to make a bow, here’s a quick how-to that you can pin and save for later:
Be sure to cut your wire long enough to wrap around your wreath so you can attach it when you’re done.
And that’s it! I think she turned out quite pretty!
I love all the different textures.
My co-hosts and I all had the same assignment, yet each of us came up with something uniquely our own. Take a look:

I can’t wait to see what everyone else comes up with! I hope you Get Your DIY on and join us this Sunday, September 15th at 7 pm EST to share your Fall wreath ideas!
Just a reminder that our “The Color Blue” theme is open until Friday, so you still have a chance to be featured…come link up here!
That’s all folks, I hope you enjoyed the how-to!
Love you like sunshine! (Just not the kind that comes with a heat wave)
XO,

Yep, you did it again. Looks awesome! My wreath is nearly finished. It’s hanging a little wonky, so I have to fix that. I’ll be ready for week 2….

This is such a lovely wreath! For some reason, wreath making has always been a bit baffling to me. You made it seem quite doable, and it looks great!

Barb @ A Life in Balance says
Great wreath! I ran across your post on Nifty Thrifty Sunday. I’ve been struggling a bit with my wreath since I made the mistake of giving my grapevine wreath to Goodwill. Never again! The photos with the tips are really helpful.
Christy K. James says
Thanks, Barb! This is pretty simple to put together once you see it broken down. If all else fails, make a great bow and it will hide any imperfections and make it look fabulous 🙂
Allison @ The Golden Sycamore says
Love your wreath! I always have such a hard time putting them together, but you did a beautiful job!
Christy K. James says
Thanks, Allison! I think the hardest part of making a wreath for me is making sure it looks balanced. Making one like this with everything on one side eliminates that! Thanks for stopping by 🙂
