Well hello there…I’m so glad you stopped by! Today I’m taking a break from the usual to bring you another kind of fun…a peek into my trip to the Haven Blogging conference! It is held in Atlanta, GA , and is an amazing three days of meeting fellow blogging friends, connecting with top Brands, and learning ways to improve all aspects of our blogs.
My favorite is getting to hang out in person with the bloggers I have come to know and love online, and of course meeting new friends is awesome as well.
We didn’t think to get a pic before this time! Nancy was roomie again this year.
When we first got to our hotel, Nancy had a meet up with Porch.com, so I decided to unwind in the hotel room and order room service since we hadn’t eaten lunch yet. I had to share this because be still my thrifty heart…a cheeseburger and a diet coke was $30!!
That was THE best cheeseburger I have ever eaten.
These are my blogging BFFs…
I think this was before our first class.
Here we are with Debbie from Refresh Restyle:
She is so fun! This is our Décor Enthusiast group minus Laura from Top This Top That. We eventually met up with her, but never could get us all together for one group shot! She is hilarious.
Then Nancy and I had a little fun at some of the booths…
Kirklands was giving away a $150 gift card and I won! I never win anything!
Then Nancy won a basket of Home products from GE! Look I have a bright idea lol. I never saw that bubble caption when I was posing for the pic!
Then I ran into this girl…one of the highlights of my trip was meeting Mandy from The Hankful House!
She is part of our Get Your DIY On crew, but was the only one who couldn’t make it last year. This year we were missing Krista from The Happy Housie. 🙁
Here’s Mandy and I on Saturday:
Twins! Really? What are the chances? It was good for a laugh.
Then we found Abby from Just a Girl and Her Blog, another one of our Get Your DIY On cohosts:
She is super sweet!
Nancy and I lingered at this booth a while…could you blame us? This Yoga Bed was so comfortable!
Seriously this is the most comfortable mattress I have ever felt! I told my hubby I want one. This is my “I really really pretty please REALLY want one of these” face…
Later we met up with Abby again, and April from House by Hoff, that’s our whole GYDO crew except for Krista. I missed you this year, Krista!!
This was at the end of classes and I think we were all pretty worn out at this point. I had been outside for a photography class and the wind was crazy!
The conference closed with a party. Here’s my girls again all dressed up.
Except for me of course. I planned on dancing. 🙂
I love these girls!
Here’s a final “it’s good to be home” shot taken at the airport.
We were officially pooped! No matter where I go, it’s always good to get back home, especially when I’ve been away from my boys. I know my hubby was happy to have me home again too!
Then I got to unpack, and check out all the goodies I brought home. 🙂
I love being a blogger. I love sharing my ideas and interacting with the most supportive readers ever. Every once in a while though it feels so good to get together with others that share the same passion, and truly understand the work behind the blog.
I enjoyed sharing this little recap with you, and I hope you enjoyed it too!
(You know you guys REALLY are the BEST readers ever. )
