Hey there, Friends! I love when you stop by!! 🙂
A few weeks ago I shared that my oldest son has decided to start painting a few things to sell in my booth. I mean really…anything to keep him busy over the Summer with something other than video games, right?? I’m honestly thrilled to have him hanging out in my workshop with me!
I shared his first little makeover here, and today I thought I’d share a shelf he also redid.
Here it was as we found it:
Actually Jack found it…he has a pretty good eye! I think we paid around $4 for it.
And here it is after he worked some magic on it:
Cute, huh? One of the rules for him adding things to my booth was that it had to match what I had in there. He chose this mix of Behr’s Cottage White and Pure White that I already had made into chalk paint.
I cut a piece of bead board for the back for him, and it really updated this little shelf.
Perfect for a coastal cottage bathroom to hold a few necessary items!
This is a picture of Jack at the beach from a few years ago that was in the boys’ bathroom:
My heart. He’s starting high school this year booooo hoooooo. Where does the time go??
He wanted to add hooks across the bottom, but there really wasn’t enough space. Instead, I found this old drawer handle in my stash that gave it a little character.
He spray painted it in Rustoleum’s Heirloom White.
And I’m happy to report that this little treasure has sold! Jack was so excited!
We just added another one of his makeovers to the shop, so hoping that sells quickly for him as well. I took pictures so I’ll share that one soon.
If you liked this makeover, you’ll love this one…

I’ll be back on Thursday sharing what I did with this $10 headboard:
See ya then!
