$24 Estate Sale Cabinet Makeover

Amazing friends, can I tell you how nice it was to get away for a few days? Our boys are on Spring break this week, so we decided to head to D.C. to see the museums and monuments. There is so much to see! If you ever get the chance to go, be sure to visit the National Archives Museum. We got to see the original Declaration of Independence, the Constitution, among tons of other super cool documents from our nation's history. Here is my favorite thing I found at the Smithsonian National Museum … [Read more...]

Repurposed Candle Holders

Hello sweet friends!! I have a fun repurpose to share with y'all today! I'm sharing what I made out of these candle holders I scored for 99¢ each on my last thrifting day: I always keep an eye open for small wooden candlesticks because they can be repurposed in several ways, so of course I grabbed these! They were the perfect size to make into tiered jewelry holders! All I needed was some pretty china and voila: I used one of these candle holders for the bottom tier. I … [Read more...]

Booth Update April 2019

Hello lovelies! Today I'm taking ya'll on a trip to my booth. For those of you that may be new here, welcome! I have a booth space at the Virginia Beach Antique Mall here in Virginia Beach where I sell most of the pieces I blog about. Let's start where we left off in November, shall we? The last time you visited, it looked like this: Sadly, most of these furniture pieces are still in my booth! Booo! See, it happens to me too! Many of these pieces are taste specific and need just the … [Read more...]

Thrift Store Baskets go Coastal

I am a picnic basket hoarder. There, I said it. I cannot pass up a deal on a picnic basket. I just love them!  Amazing friends, it is Trash-to-Treasure Tuesday and I am thrilled to announce that I tackled not just one of the picnic baskets I recently picked up, but both picnic baskets I recently picked up! Before I forget...don't forget to look for my talented friends' makeovers at the bottom! I really had no business buying more picnic baskets because look what I still have in my storage … [Read more...]

$6 Thrift Store End Table (& a Video on How to Line a Drawer with Fabric)

Hey there, beautiful friends! Who's up for a sweet makeover? Today's project piece is this end table I picked up for $6.25 at the thrift store: Can you believe it was only $6? It looked more like this when I found it: The legs had been removed and tucked inside. Maybe that's why it was so cheap. I didn't attempt to assemble it in the store to make sure it would go back together properly, but for that price, I figured I would take my chances. I don't usually pick up … [Read more...]

$4 Thrift Store Tray Makeover

Sweet friends, welcome back! Today I'm sharing project piece #2 from my most recent thrifty haul...this tray that I picked up for $4.25 at the Goodwill: That design on the bottom was under a really thick layer of acrylic, and I knew I wanted to cover that up. That is exactly what it did! Here is how it looks now: I almost always pick up wooden trays when I see them, but I especially loved that this one already had these cute feet. I've included a few affiliate links so you … [Read more...]

Estate Sale Shelving Unit Makeover

Hey there amazing friends! I'm back with my Furniture Fixer Upper girls sharing the first piece of my brand new haul!! I am super excited about this one! First, here is my new stack of goodies ready and waiting to be transformed: I actually found some decent furniture pieces this time, thanks mostly to an estate sale that I visited last weekend. I get really discouraged with the estate sales in our area because they are so incredibly overpriced! This one actually wasn't too bad … [Read more...]

Thrift Store Decor: The Rest of Thrift Store Haul #2!

Hello beautiful friends! I'm back today with what was left from thrift store haul #2, three pieces that turned into pretty home decor! Here is the first item I'm sharing today: This was a steal at $9.98, but this was not an unusual find. I find pretty mirrors similarly priced quite often and they are usually good sellers for me. If you're in need of a mirror, definitely hit up the thrift store first. This one was from 1977 according the stamp on the back and it was heavy duty plastic. … [Read more...]

Amazing friends, welcome!! I am always so thrilled when you stop by! Today I'm back sharing what I did with the other vintage suitcase I scored on my last thrifting trip: They were both a steal at $4 each. You can see what I did with the first suitcase HERE.  I've included a few affiliate links so you can find the products I love.  This one took a different direction...
