China Hutch Update

Hello lovely Friends!! Good news...I am happy to report that my floors are officially in!! Real progress, ya'll. I still need to add the quarter round trim around the perimeter before I can call it done, but it is so nice to see it coming together! Today I am sharing my china hutch. This piece was the very first piece of furniture that I ever painted with chalk paint. I bought it back in 2000 as part of a dining room set. The Mason Jar Blue Headboard Bench

Well sweet Friends, the floors are officially ready for the new hardwoods, but I decided to switch gears a bit and paint the big furniture pieces for these two rooms before installing the new floors. It seemed to make more sense, don't you think? So yesterday I painted my hutch and the base of the dining room table. Hoping to wax them today. They look so bright and fresh! Next up is the desk. :) Since I am knee deep in my own makeovers at the moment I started digging to see what I thought my … [Read more...]

And yep that's my desk right at the bottom of the stairs. I'm actually writing this from that very spot ha ha. We got all of the luan down except for that one strip between the rooms... If you missed why … [Read more...]

Tool Caddy Makeover

Hello lovely friends! Up for a little makeover today?? Always, right? Me too! Today I am sharing what I did with this very utilitarian looking tool caddy: I rarely pass on simple caddies/crates/totes, whatever you want to call them, because they can be so charming! This one was anything but, however it was only $5 and I figured swapping out that handle would fix that. Here is how it looks after a day in my workshop: Much more charming, don't you think? I started by filling … [Read more...]

Standing Outdoor Halloween Sign

Hey sweet Friends! Do ya'll get into Halloween? I know of a few of ya'll that do, but my guess is that most people do not.  Around here, we really have fun with it! We are still tweaking this year's outdoor decorations at the moment. It has been fun decorating a new house! One of my favorite projects I've created for Halloween started with this mailbox box post I found at the Home Depot for $28: I knew it would be perfect to recreate this sign  I saw at BHG.com a couple of years ago. I … [Read more...]

Dated Dresser Redo

Hello awesome friends and welcome to Trash-to-Treasure Tuesday!! Ya'll know I love this day because four of my treasure-maker friends are also sharing makeovers of their own! Who doesn't love a good makeover (or five)?? Be sure to look for their projects at the bottom! On Thursday I mentioned that I went thrifting last week in search of a couple of furniture pieces for my booth, dressers to be exact. They are great fillers and sell well for me. I did come across a few in my hunt but nothing … [Read more...]
