Welcome back sweet friends!! Thank you for all the wonderful feedback on the antique dresser I shared on Tuesday! Today’s project is not nearly as intense. It is a super quick, teensy tiny makeover!
I bought this coaster set during my Post Shut-Down Thrift Store Trip for $2.25:
As soon as I saw them, I knew exactly what I wanted to do with them!
Well…with the holder, not exactly the entire set.
I knew it would make for a super cute business card holder!
Right??
It was the perfect size!
I knew I wanted to spend Brennan’s birthday doing what he wanted to do on Tuesday, so I painted this real quickly while I had the Cotton paint out from working on the antique dresser this past weekend. So today’s makeover might be small, but still counts, right??
I sanded here and there with 220 grit sandpaper and sealed with a quick spray of Rustoleum clear matte spray.
This will look great holding the cards in my booth!
Right now I have them in an ironstone teacup, which works great too.
Short and sweet!
I still have the coasters, but I’ll hang onto those in case I find a use for them in future.
And that is one piece done from my Post Shut-Down Thrift Store Haul!
These are all pretty simple pieces, but this group will be making up for my Mother’s Day Haul, which is mostly pieces that need a lot of TLC!
I’ll be moving back to my Mother’s Day Haul for Trash-to-Treasure Tuesday sharing what I did with this night table:
Was I able to salvage that drawer? Come back on Tuesday to see!
UPDATE: No need to come back! You can find out now HERE!
Until then, have an amazing weekend, and stay safe out there!
XOXO,
Don’t Miss a Thing!

Dear Christy,
Love your blog and your repurposing ideas! 2 questions, are the hydrangeas in this pic real? If not, where did you get such beautiful faux
flowers? Also, love your business cards with rounded edges. Did you do that yourself or is there a web site you could recommend?
Thanks for all you do and share,
Kayla
Christy says
Thank you so much, Michaela! These hydrangeas are real…I stole them from my sister’s garden lol. And the cards came that way. I ordered them from Vistaprint. It costs a little more for the rounded edges, but I think they add so much. XOXO

Christy says
Thank you, Laurene! The paint I used is Cotton by Dixie Belle. It is chalk paint. You can click on any of the blue text in my posts to take you to the actual products to see more. You can find this in my shop here: https://www.etsy.com/listing/693096144/dixie-belle-cotton-chalk-mineral-paint XOXO
