Unfinished Wood Console Table Makeover

Hello awesome Friends! I'm so glad you stopped by today! Actually I'm so glad you stop by every day. :) Remember a week or so ago when I shared this little unfinished table that I painted, one my Dad had made several years ago? See that post HERE if you missed it. Well when I brought this home from my parent's attic, I also picked up its big sister: My parents and I did craft markets for about 15 or so years and these are tables my Dad built. My Mom would paint scenes on top of … [Read more...]

Thrift Store Basket Update

Hello to the sweetest readers ever! Thanks so much for all the wonderful feedback on the doll clothes I made for my niece that I shared on Tuesday! I had THE best time making them. Today I'm sharing a quick update of this giant thrift store basket I scored recently: It's hard to see how large it is in that photo, but this thing is a good size and a bargain at $10. I knew it could be perfect for so many uses, but was a bit plain in its current state. A little spray paint to the … [Read more...]

Turn $5 in Thrift Store Parts into Functional Décor!

Hi there, awesome Friends! Jack sends a huge thank you for all the super sweet comments on his plant stand makeover I shared on Tuesday! He was grinning form ear to ear. Are ya'll up for another thrifty makeover today? I thought you might be. They're my favorite too! This one was actually a collaboration between me and Jack. Kids’ Table Makeover

Hello Friends, and welcome to Themed Furniture Thursday!! How about I'll share my project, and you see if you can guess the theme? I shared a peek of this kids' table and these two chairs on Tuesday: I found the table at the Salvation Army the same day I bought this dated dresser I recently shared, and the chairs were part of a set of four I found at a yard sale last Summer. I paid about $27 for all three pieces. The chairs were in rough shape, but a good sanding fixed them right … [Read more...]

Updating a Wall with FrogTape & a Contest!

This is a sponsored post written by me on behalf of FrogTape® for IZEA. All opinions are 100% mine. Have any of ya'll ever used FrogTape®? It's no secret that it's my go-to tape for painting projects. I mention it all the time. I usually use it on furniture projects but was recently challenged by FrogTape® to update a wall with it. My Mom volunteered her walls for me to play with. Wasn't that so kind of her? ;) FrogTape® provided the tape, my Mom provided the paint, and I provided the grunt … [Read more...]

This Small Mirror Makes a Big Impact

How do you like my new mirror? Bold, right? I like that it makes a BIG impact. If I'd have seen this at Home Goods, this would have gone straight into my cart. That above pic is from my most recent Summer Home Tour. It was so simple to make. It's actually a smaller mirror mounted onto plywood that's framed out. The title of this post should have been, "From Epic Fail to Awesome".  This project started with a plan to use the mirror below that was removed from the boys' bathroom last summer, … [Read more...]
