Reclaimed Wood Bookcase

Hi Friends! Today I'm joining my Power Tool Girl Crew to bring you a simple project I did using power tools! I love these group challenges because they motivate me to get stuff done! This month's theme is "Summer". I wanted to do something with this little bookcase I picked up at the thrift store for $12 a couple of weeks ago: It looked like someone had some sort of electronics on the bottom shelf that needed to be vented, so two big holes had been cut out on the back. When I bought … [Read more...]

DIY Jewelry Storage

Hello Lovelies and welcome back to this fun makeover series! We made it a whole week woohoo! Today is number seven and I'm sharing what I did with these pretty aqua dishes I just could not leave behind at the thrift store: I was so smitten with them, and for 75¢ a piece I scooped them right up, having no clue what I was going to do with them. I decided on a plan for three of these pieces, along with a set of candlesticks (only one pictured) that I picked up marked down to 48¢ each on … [Read more...]

Mini Shelf Makeover

Hi friends! Welcome back to day #2 of my March Madness Series! I've got a sweet little mini shelf makeover that I'm sharing today. I found this last Summer at the thrift store for $3 whole dollars and it has long sold in my booth, but I never got a chance to share it. Here it is as I found it: A little homely, but I thought it could be sweet painted. It got a new beadboard backing and a fresh new paint job that gave it an entirely new feel. This frumpy dated little mini shelf is … [Read more...]

Each month we share simple DIY projects that involve power tools, but that anyone can tackle! I look back at some of my earlier projects where I show my hubs cutting things for me and chuckle. I … [Read more...]

Big Boy Bedroom on a Budget Reveal

My big boy is really only two and a half, but he will grow to be a big boy in this room. We knew it was time to take down his crib after a recent successful out of town experience in a big boy bed.  Plus, he is really big for a two year old and  needed a bigger bed. We moved him into his big brother, Jack's old room.  This is how the room looked before we switched rooms: And here is the Big Boy Brennan version: I kept the same theme that was in his … [Read more...]

Master Closet Makeover (Part 1)

Want to see my favorite spot in the house? Come check it out: Now it would be really difficult to appreciate this master closet makeover without seeing how it started out. Take a look:       Had enough? Me too! Gross, huh? My husband and I both shared this closet and there was a lot of wasted space.  That's when I dug out my graph paper and pencil and got to work measuring, creating the perfect space. This closet is pretty dinky for a master … [Read more...]
