Are y’all ready to see my BRAND NEW HAUL today?? Hello, amazing friends! I am so excited to share all the goodies I found for this haul! I’m calling it my Fabulous 50 Fall Haul since there are 50 items this round, and many of them are quite fabulous!
Grab a drink and let’s jump right in!
My garage was looking like this before I dragged it all out to be photographed:

I just kept finding furniture! That hardly ever happens.
Yard Sale finds
In my last haul, I had tons of yard sale finds! I haven’t been quite so lucky this round, but I’ll start with those first.
There is a lady who lives in the neighborhood across the street from me who has fantastic stuff every time their neighborhood has a community yard sale. She has everything stylized so cute that I often overpay for things lol.
Her yard sale is where I found this gorgeous game table that I had to repair the damage on last summer. I found another one this year, but it wasn’t quite as pretty. It was marked $25 and I offered $20:

The top turns and opens up like this:

I also bought this basket from her for $10 (too much lol):

As well as this mirror, also for $10:

Not photographed is an enamel kettle that she had gorgeous black eyed suzans in for $15. I thought the flowers were fake, but sadly, they were not and they died. Oh well!
At another sale that day, I picked up this metal container for $3…now that is more my budget!

I also picked up this frame that had been spray painted white for $3:

Yard sales have been really slim pickins this fall compared to last year, but in September, I did find this chair for $5:

That was a bargain!
I also found this mirror painted white for $15, but I offered $10, and they accepted:

A couple of weekends ago, I found these mirrors for $5 each:

These are solid, so that was a fantastic find as well. These were the only things I found that day besides some kids selling chocolate chip coolies lol. I will always stop for the cookies!
I got up this past weekend to put the final touches on this haul with some smaller items and didn’t have much luck either. I did find this large frame missing the artwork for $2:

I also found some decent sized scraps of bead board that I can use on something for $2. That was a great find, but not worth getting up early on a Saturday for lol, especially with no cookies this time!
Free Items
I have a couple of free items in this haul including this HUGE mirror I found while with my friend near the same dumpster where I found this vanity bench I redid a couple of weeks ago:

It’s hard to tell the size, so I took a pic of myself in the reflection, but it still doesn’t show how big it really is. It’s filthy and heavy! I drive behind a shopping center when picking up my Dixie Belle shipments from the back door of the Fed Ex place there, and I see things dumped there often!
Also free is this oval frame since I likely dragged it from our old house eight years ago ha ha:

I think it’s time to do something with it!
Thrifted items
Everything else came from thrifting. That is my favorite way to find items since unlike yard saling, I can do it anytime it’s convenient for me!
I’ll start small, and work my way up to the good stuff!
This little silver plated tray has actually been hanging around my garage for a bit as well, but I did find it at the thrift store for $5.99:

It’s small, but I loved the detailing and it has feet..always a win for me!
Next up is this pedestal that I picked up for $6.98:

That was pricey for that piece, but I may end up using it as a staging prop.
Up next is this cute set of fish bookends I couldn’t resist for $3.99:

This chunky frame was a good find for $1.99:

How about this set of candlesticks? They were $8.99 for the set:

I liked the worn texture, but not the color.
Next up is this dainty box for $3.98:

And this little artwork I bought for the frame for $3.98 as well:

I found several boxes, including this little one, also for $3.98:

And this flatware box for $3.99:

And another flatware box that had the insides already removed…that made that even more appealing, and it was only $1.99:

This is the final flatware box and my favorite of the bunch since it has a drawer. It was $4.99:

I picked up this shelf for $4.99 also:

This fabric case was going for $5.99:

I have a few baskets this round, as I often do. I just love them!
Let’s start with this one I picked up fpr $3.99 and half off that:

I also have this one I found for $6.99 with 50% off:

And this one was $6.99 also but not on sale:

This was a cute one that came lined for $3.99:

And finally, I love this vintage picnic basket that I also picked up for $6.99:

In the last haul, I had what seemed like a ton of lamps, including three sets.
This time I do have one set that I picked up for $7.99 each. I think they are so cute:

I also found this single lamp for $6.98:

It’s so pretty but quite dirty.
I picked up this lamp at the same store, also for $6.98:

And finally, this gem was marked down twice to $2.98:

I found a couple of trays…this small one that was also marked down to $2.98:

And this larger one that I paid $9.99 for. I’m not quite sure why I bought it for that except I may have been thinking I could just resell it in my booth as is:

I picked up this very nice set of frames marked down to $3.98 each:

And this pretty frame for $6.99:

I thought this piece might paint up pretty, also for $6.99:

And this piece too I thought might be helped by some paint. It was $6.99 and 25% off:

And the final smaller piece is this thing that just needs some help! It was $3.99:

Thrifted Furniture Finds
I’ll start with with this dresser since I already shared it. This was $74.95 at the thrift store:

I asked y’all on my FB page if I should get it and overwhelmingly, the answer was yes! This gal is heavy, but I can’t wait to work on her!
On the same stop, I also picked up this little side table for $9.95:

I found this fantastic piece for just $29.99:

Unfortunately, the gentleman who was loading it scraped the side on the sidewalk, but that should be fixable. There was the taller mate to this there as well, but it had no tag on it, so I think someone else must have already scooped it up. $30 was a STEAL for this dresser!
And just for fun…this is the chaos around that photo that you can’t see ha ha!

A typical haul photograph session!
I thought this little night table was charming for only $14.99:

I found this night table early on. It was only $10.99:

Early on when I was desperate for furniture, I picked up this piece that had been marked down to $24.95:

It looks almost like a night table there, but it is a regular sized dresser. It is Amercian Drew, so it’s nice quality, but I don’t love painting those knots.
This little table was also an early find for only $9.95:

It has quite a bit of damage, but I’ll make it work!
I picked up this little chair in near pefect condition for only $6.99:

La piece de Resistance
The very same day that I found that gorgeous dresser that y’all told me to buy, I went across the street to the Salvation Army thrift store where I don’t often find good deals on furniture, and I came across this gorgeous piece:

It was marked $199, but all blue tags were 75% off!!!! It was only $50!! I couldn’t even believe it! As large as my minivan is, I couldn’t fit both pieces, so I had to drive the first dresser home and unload it and come back for this piece, This one might be my favorite!
Here’s the inside:

And then, when I thought I was DONE with furniture, I came across this very unique piece while looking for smalls, and it was only $24.99!!

“What in the vintage goodness is this??”, I asked myself! Once again, I reached out to you guys on my FB page, and you did not disappoint! It is a gentlemen’s chest or something like that. Apparently, the top is for t shirts and “sundries” according to a tag in there (or whatever else), the cabinet part would have held hats, and the bottom of course, would be for clothes. How cool is that? Had to have it ha ha!
And that’s my brand new Fabulous 50 Fall Haul!

I feel like I have a lot of variety to work with!
I’ll be back with my Furnture Fixer Upper gals sharing this dresser on Thursday:

Looks are always deceiving…it is most definitely a fixer upper lol!
I’d love to know what your favorite piece or pieces from this new haul are! Let me know below!
Now I think I need some chocolate chip cookies!

The set of two mirrors is especially nice being beveled.
What a fun post, much anticipation for these goodies.
Christy says
I’m so glad you enjoyed seeing everything I found, Janet! Those mirrors were a fabulous find for sure and they seem very well made! XOXO
Mary Kaiser says
Oh wow, you found 50 great things! I think my favorite is the gentlemens chest, I can’t wait to see what you do with that! Great things to come I am sure!
Christy says
Isn’t that chest so unique?? I had never seen anything like it before. I definitely had to scoop that one up! XOXO
Janice Redden says
Christy, “WOOHOO” is an understatement! Lady, you are amazing!! I don’t know if I can pick a favorite; I do love all the curves and detail on many of the furniture pieces; that sweet little pair of lamps is just too cute. What I absolutely know is that you will turn each table, chair, dresser, lamp, frame, box and basket into something creatively beautiful……and I can’t wait to see them. It’s like a birthday and Christmas two times a week!
Christy says
Aww thank you, my friend!! That means so much! I can’t wait to dive in! XOXO
Margie says
I look forward to seeing your makeovers! My favorite by far is your fancy dresser from the thrift store for $74.95! That piece is beautiful!
Christy says
That was such a great find! I’ve never worked on a piece of that style before, so I’m looking forward to it! XOXO
Julie Ann Westwater says
What I like best is your sunny, sweet, and funny personality that shines through in every post and in everything you do! You are an inspiration in so many ways. Thank you. 🌞
Christy says
Aww you are the sweetest, Julie, thank you so much!! That made my day! XOXOXO
Cecilia says
Goodness! You found a lot of furniture this round. I think my favorite might be that piece you asked us if you should get it. But they’re all great pieces. Can’t wait to see you work your magic on all of them!
😊Cecilia
Christy says
I did find a lot of furniture this time, and I need it for my booth, so that works for me! I love that piece too…looking forward to working on it! XOXO
Josee says
I wish I could shop with you. I can’t pick a favorite accept that I would love one of those small tables. You made an outstanding haul. I can’t wait to see what you do with it all. I wish you all success.
Christy says
I would love to have a shopping buddy! I did get so lucky this time. Thank you, my friend! XOXO
Robin says
Wow, the mirror pair…..what an incredible find. I can see those over bedside nightstands. 💕 I happen to love the two candlesticks as-is, but, you’re the boss and the expert. ♥️ You know your market! My question: Do you feel fatigued just looking at that behemoth of a pile….or ecstatic? Love all you do! You go!! (As if you have a choice now…. 😂)
Christy says
Right? Those mirrors were a steal and such great quality! I see them the same way lol. I did something similar in our bedroom! And looking at this pile makes me SO excited!! I have so many options woohoo!! XOXO
Cyndi says
Holy smokes! What a haul! I can’t wait to see how these come out. Well done, bonny lass! 🙂
Christy says
Thank you, Cyndi! You sound like my mom…she’s from Scotland! XOXO
Geri Davis says
Wow what a great haul, it will be fun seeing what you do with all of the pieces! I’m a sucker for the little night stand with 4 drawers, I’m looking for something similar to paint for baby’s room and put the bunny transfer on the front! Thanks for sharing!
Christy says
Thank you, Geri! I am so excited to dive in! That little night stand would be adorable with the Hello Baby bunny on it! XOXO
Mother Deer says
My favorite pieces from this haul are the $75 dresser and the $50 armoire. Wow! As for what I’d like to see finished first, I have a night table that is very similar to the light-colored one that you found. I’ve been staring at it for the past week trying to decide how to improve it. It’s currently a solid chocolate brown color, very dark and sad. I can’t wait to see what you do with yours 🙂
Christy says
Those are my favorites too! I will have to work that night table in soon! XOXO
Debbie W says
Can’t wait to see what you do with all these beautiful and unique pieces!
Christy says
Thanks so much, Debbie! XOXO
Mary C King says
I love all of the larger pieces. They have so much character! I also really like the table/desk with the cabriole legs! Oh how I wish I had more space. Can’t wait to see the transformations! Guess it will soon be time for another visit to the antique mall!
Christy says
I found some fabulous pieces for this round fro sure…not quite as gorgeous as your pieces but close! I’d love to run into you at my booth! XOXO
Sue Verbaan says
Have you shared your Halloween Decor this year? I’ve been out touch for a couple weeks. This haul is really great.
Christy says
Thanks, Sue! I plan to share it next Thursday on the 30th! XOXO
Carol S says
I think the SI armoire is the best deal, especially with the bonus inside detail. I’m smitten with its potential and versatility in a home. You have a lot of work ahead of you. Really fantastic haul! I’ll be looking forward to every upcycle. Thanks for what you do and how you do it!
Christy says
You are so welcome, Carol! I appreciate you following along with me! That armoire is my favorite of the bunch too! XOXO
Liz Shivel says
Hi Christy, WOW for sure! An amazing haul! 😲 My favorites would be the one chest you said was your favorite plus the gentleman’s wardrobe. Talk about times gone by! I love those pieces for their history! A simpler lifetime for sure! 👍 Do you ever buy a piece and then “not” paint it because you like the wood design & then polish it so it shines?
Christy says
Thank you, Liz! Those are my favorites as well! I do feel some guilt about painting certain pieces, and I know I could polish some of them up and sell them as is, but our antique mall is full of beautiful wood furniture that has been sitting there for ages. I will be painting these pieces, but I will try to do them justice! XOXO
Janina says
What a fantastic haul, Christie! It practically makes me salivate! 😂 I used to have a second-hand/vintage/ antique store and that’s where I got my start painting furniture and other finds.
I absolutely LOVE those beautiful old pieces of furniture. I look forward to seeing you work your magic on them. Nowadays, having seen your makeovers for many years, I try to guess what you’ll do – colours, stripes, distressing, lining – and while I can sometimes guess those things, you always AMAZE me with your creative ideas for turning bed heads to benches, or totally reinventing shelves and bits of wood.
Your creativity is magical!
Happy transforming!
You are ALWAYS an inspiration, Christie! 💝
Christy says
Aww you are the sweetest, Janina, thank you!! I appreciate that SO much! And I love that you try to guess what I’ll do. Also, I laughed out loud at you salivating ha ha! Thanks again, my friend! XOXO
MrsSW says
WOW! What a great haul, although I am appalled at how ridiculous the prices have gotten.
My favorite piece is the little night table that is beige/dirty-whitish with little bun feet and a cup drawer pull. To me it belongs in a bathroom.
You have your work cut out for you this winter.
Sheila
Christy says
Thank you, Sheila! There are certain stores I won’t shop anymore because they’ve gotten so crazy! It all depends on who is in the back with that pricing gun lol. I too see this in a bathroom. It kind of reminds me of a washstand a little bit! XOXO
Caye says
Oh my word, Christy, what a haul!! There isn’t one piece that I think, “meh” about! I’m especially interested in the fabric box since I have one and am torn about how to handle it. I’m so glad that you did take the large pieces of furniture, and especially the ornate one. Can’t wait to see them all, so get busy, girl 🙂
Christy says
Ha ha I have already started and I am so excited! I love having a brand new haul to choose from, especially with those larger pieces! I love that little fabric box…I’ll try to work it in soon, my friend! XOXO
Michele M. says
Oh my goodness, what a huge awesome “haul!” it’s going to be so much fun to see what you do with your magic, Christy. Can’t wait!!! Whoo hoo!
Christy says
Thank you, Michele! This will be a fun one to work through! XOXO
Tina Batori says
I think the American Drew piece would look good in two-tone: dark charcoal or navy base with the drawer fronts left in wood-tone. Maybe there wouldn’t be so many knots to deal with then.
Christy says
Good idea, Tina! That could work! XOXO
Jackie C says
oh my goodness I spotted that $29 dresser in the picture before I even clicked on the blog. I have the taller chest, it belonged to my dad. I’ve been wanting to paint it, but I’ve struggled back-and-forth with the decision for a very long time (several years). Sure wish I had that dresser. I cannot wait to see what you do with it.
The furniture you found is fabulous.
Excited!
Christy says
Thank you, Jackie! They had the matching tall dresser at the thrift store, but the tag was missing. I assumed someone had already grabbed it up, but I wish now that I would have asked about it. And the thing about paint is that it can always be removed down the road. Make that piece something you love, my friend! XOXO
Jackie C says
Oh, I guess where I spotted it was the garage picture AFTER I clicked on the blog. I was so excited about it I got confused. Lol.
Christy says
Ha ha!
Jennifer says
I love the armoire piece the most-it is really lovely.
Christy says
That’s my favorite too! It is a beauty! XOXO
Debbie in TX says
Wow, what a collection! There are some cool pieces in this set. Can’t wait to see what you do with them. I love the night table and the trays. Should be fun watching the transformations : )
Christy says
Right? I feel like I have such a nice variety this time! It will be fun for me to work through as well! XOXO
Sara Beck says
That looks amazing! Can’t wait to see what you are going to do with it all. I was traveling from Florida to the eastern Maryland sea shore (Ocean City area) and stopped by the Antique Mall to check out your booth. It’s pretty cool! Loved all the furniture and things you had in there. It was awesome!
Christy says
I’m so glad you got the chance to stop by!! Thank you! The mall is old as dirt, but I like to think of my room as a light in the darkness ha ha! XOXO
Addie says
Nice haul….now haul your keister out there and get busy!!!! 😉
Christy says
Ha ha yes, ma’am already on it! XOXO
Mary Loveland says
OMG you are a very lucky girl!!
The gametable you bought I think is better than the last; what era do you think that is, I know you’ve had pcs with those legs before? That $10 basket, that was a good deal, any kind of collector will see the merit in it. I really liked the fabric case-something about those cool buckles!? That rustic shelf with 3 coat hangers plucks my heartstrings. The $75 dresser is truly gorgeous it should be illegal to lose the hardware! The “gentlemans chest” is very interesting, yikes. Great Job…..don’t forget to get out and look during this season…people are purging getting ready for the holidays. Can’t wait.
Christy says
Thanks, Mary! I would say this game table is probably from the 70’s if I had to guess. That basket was very nice and so well made! I am so bummed about the missing hardware on that dresser as the originals on the bottom are gorgeous. I feel like I have some really great finds this time, so I am excited to work my way through them all! No more shopping for me…I’m out of room ha ha! XOXO
Bette McCumber says
Sooo many goodies. Can’t wait to see what you do with them. Hard choice for fav but I really like the side table
Christy says
Right? I found some really unique pieces this round! That side table was a great deal! XOXO
Rhonda Dunaway says
Thanks for taking time to share all of your finds! In this era of particle board furniture, I find myself loving those solid wood dressers and wardrobes even more.
I didn’t have very good luck at local garage sales this year, and the prices at all of the thrift stores near me have skyrocketed, so I have to work extra hard to scout for things that have potential. However, seeing what you found has inspired me to keep at it.
I’m a sucker for buying woven bracelets that little girls around here make and sell when they are “helping” their moms with yard sales.
I’m headed out on a thrifting road trip with a friend this coming Friday. We have had great luck finding things at small town thrift stores, community events, yard sales, and barn sales. Now, I’m hoping that I’ll find some things that are similar to items in your haul. I can’t wait until you start showing us all the makeovers!
Christy says
I’m so glad you enjoyed seeing them all! I was really disheartened when I started shopping for this haul, but I kept at it and shopped often. Piece by piece, it came together, but long gone are the days when I could fill a basket at one store that’s for sure! And yes, I buy bracelets too! And sometimes I just make a donation. I love seeing them out there working to earn a little bit. Have the best time ever on your thrifting road trip…that sounds like a dream trip!! Wishing you all the luck on your hunt! XOXO
Kathy says
So many great finds! Hard to pick a clear winner, so I have three that stand out to me. Of course the La piece de Resistance for $50, wow!! The one everyone told you to buy on Facebook, and the charming little night table for only $14.99. Right up my ally!!
Christy says
Thank you, Kathy! I love all of those too! I’m hoping to get to the little night table next! XOXO
Kathy W says
Hi Christy – I ‘m sorry to say I can’t choose a favorite except “EVERYTHING!!” I have many similar pieces in my stash that I have been “stuck” with what to do with them. I’ll wait and copy the professional (YOU – hope you don’t mind) before tackling mine. 😁
Just what to say…you’re one amazing Superwoman!!!
Kathy W
Christy says
Ha ha! THere is a lot to love this round! You are so funny! Hopefully, I can offer some inspiration with mine, my friend! XOXO
Catherine says
That beautiful $75 cabinet/dresser!! Great haul!!
The dresser with the wooden knobs (one missing I think)….would that be a piece of Clore Furniture by any chance? Looks like their style…very simple shaker style. I’m sure other companies make this style of dresser but the “Clore” ones are made in the little town I grew up in…Madison, VA.
They make a lot of Walnut, Cherry and Mahogany pieces. High quality!
Christy says
Thank you, Catherine! I didn’t see any markings on that piece, but it might be since I’m in Virginia too! XOXO
Ewa says
of course, the most beautiful are these three old wardrobes, especially the one these rich decoration. However, that doesn’t mean I don’t like the other things. This metal hanger is simply a marvel, as are the frames and lamps with decorations, but also baskets and cutlery boxes, with will undoubtedly be come something beautiful. That box with the flower on the glass is gorgeous. I was also convinced by that pedestal. It’s simple, but seems very functional. Maybe for display in your company or as a decoration in your home.Keep it 🙂 .This silver – plated tray is lovely and the mirror ( the one painted white) attract attention. Everything else may be simple, but I sincerely believe that after your intervention, I will definitely be left in deep shock ( with delight, of course :-)))) Kisses
Christy says
Aww thank you so much, Ewa! I am excited to bring all of these items to life! Even the simplest of pieces can get a fabulous new life, like that pedestal! XOXO
Jan Kinman says
My favorite is the “Grand Dome” dresser you said people told you to get on FB. I can’t wait to see how you decide to bring her to life!!
Christy says
That is such a great find…I love that one too and can’t wait to tackle it! XOXO
Jeanne says
I was impressed with just about everything, and I really can’t wait to see what you do with most of the smalls!
And thanks again for the birthday win! The items I ordered are on their way and I’m looking forward to putting them to good use!
Christy says
This is a great haul, isn’t it? So much variety this time! And you are SO welcome! Happy creating!! XOXO
