Hello, amazing friends! I’m back today with my BRAND NEW HAUL!! Yes, I’m yelling it because that’s how excited I am! I do have a problem though. Y’all, I just don’t know when to say when. That is precisely the reason I started doing these hauls and working through them instead of shopping willy nilly whenever I feel like it.
I only shopped for four days and found ALL OF THIS!!!
We have a ton of thrift stores in our area. I hit 16 thrift stores in all searching for these items, and it was SO much fun!
I think living in close proximity to the largest naval complex in the world helps since that means we have tons of families moving into and out of the area all the time. I’m sure that produces a ton of donations!
Why do I always think I don’t have enough stuff??
I kept thinking that I didn’t have enough. It wasn’t until I pulled it all out that I realized just how much I had!
Let’s see it all up close and find out what I paid for everything!
My first haul of 2024
I did stop and find a few things before I actually started shopping for real for my new haul, but they were all lamps!
The very first lamps I found were these buffet lamps. They were $6.99 each:
Pairs of lamps tend to sell well, so I nabbed them right away!
Then, I found this lamp marked down to the bargain basement price of $1.98!!
I never care if the shade is missing because they aren’t usually in great shape anyway, but I do love when they still have the original finial and this one did!
This next one ended up being 75% off of $12.99, so for just over $4, I grabbed it up also:
Those details will paint up so pretty and it had the finial intact also! The shade will go for sure though.
And then I happened upon this tiny one as well for only $1.98. It didn’t have a shade, so I found this one that I hope will work for 99¢:
So that is how I started…all lamps lol!
Official Shopping Day #1
Then I set out to get started for real last Wednesday. I hit a few places and found this sewing basket marked down to $2.98 on my first stop:
I really only bought it because it was cheap and I was looking for anything I could redo at that point.
I also found these very large candlesticks someone painted bright gold:
They were $9.98 and $6.98, but they are larger than they appear here and I’ll get my money back for sure.
Then I hit the next place and lucked upon this gorgeous curvy number that was marked down twice to $49.94:
It has some beautiful carved details that will paint up so nicely! It has lots of deep scratches on the top and missing hardware, so that is probably why it had been marked down twice, but that is no problem for me!
On that same stop, I found this small basket for $3.98:
That was it for the day…not too much at all.
Shopping Day #2
I set out again on Friday, and the end of the week generally isn’t as successful for finding good deals, but my first stop yielded a cart full of goodies!
Before I share what’s in there, I had found this mirror at another store on Wednesday but I didn’t buy it because they were asking $29 for it:
Isn’t that crazy? Everything was 25% off, but that was still too much!
Then on Friday, I found one similar that was only $9.98!
And I love the spindly posts so much better!
Also in that cart was this cool shelf for $9.98:
And this little box that was too much at $4.98, but I bought it anyway:
I also picked up these frames there that were all marked down. I got two for 99¢ each and one marked down to $1.98:
Small chalkboards sell the quickest, so these will all likely end as small chalkboards.
In the cart was also this little decorative shelf that was only $2.98:
I picked up this shoe shine box as well for $9.98:
I see these all the time, but this one had little feet and a drawer, and I am a sucker for a box with feet and a drawer!
Another thing in the cart was this small but sturdy basket for $2.98:
I then had to drive around the back to load up this cutie that I got for $49:
I tried so hard to find a chair with no luck, so although I am done shopping for a while, I will still be on the hunt for a chair to pair with this dressing table.
At another store on the same day, I found this very sturdy bookcase for $20:
I can see that in a child’s room holding all of their sweet books!
I also found this oak oval mirror for half off of $9.95:
I picked up this metal tray for $3.99:
As well as this funky little shelf for $3.99:
Blue tags were 50% off, so this sign was half off of $6.99:
I also found this small wooden tray with a blue tag which was 50% off of $3.99:
On the next stop, I picked up this sturdy and versatile little table for only $8.99:
I also found this little box for $5.99:
That was way too much compared to a whole table for $8.99, but I love little boxes, so I bought it anyway!
I also found this sign that I can see as a tray, for a bit more than I would normally spend at $12:
And I found this cute shelf for $4.98:
I can usually get around $36 for a small shelf, so I often pick them up. They are great above a toilet!
Thrifting Day #3
I visited my mom on Monday and decided to stop at a couple of places out her way on the way home and found this set of candlesticks still in the box for $8.99:
I haven’t opened it yet, but if the candles are still in there, that will be a bonus!
This next piece is one of my favorites for some reason…maybe because it was only $9.99!!
I believe it may have held an old radio at one time, but all of that has been removed. I love this piece!
I can’t have a haul without a silver plated tray! This one was really well priced at only $4.99:
It has really cute little feet on it too.
This unique basket was a blue tag too, so 50% off of $3.99!
That is my kind of pricing!
Green tags were 75% off, so this one was only a dollar!
It is quite small, but I’ll paint it in a fun color and stick it in the booth.
And my last find on Monday was this shelf that I got for $5.99:
Those details will paint up so pretty!
Thrifting Day #4
Then on Tuesday, I headed out for a full day of thrifting and lost track of how many places I stopped!
Here is everything I found!
Let’s start with this pedestal table. It was marked $20:
I thought that was a lot, but it looks pretty old. The underside is covered in thick dust and the top has an oily substance on it. I thought it would be a great candidate to test out the new Bonding BOSS on!
Every haul also needs a flatware box, and I loved the little bit of curve onto the front of this one for $4.99:
I also found this Lane mini chest for the same price:
I think someone mentioned at one time that these were given away when you bought a Lane cedar chest.
This little trinket box was $2.98:
I picked up this simple oval silver plated tray for $3.99:
Another basket find…I love a basket! This one was $5.99:
And how about this odd one? It’s a good size and I was curious to see how it would paint up. It was $4.99:
This little table was a steal at only $5.99!!
The top is quite a mess but the rest looks pretty good!
I loved the ornate details on this frame for $6.98:
And my favorite find on day four was this mini cabinet that was originally $50:
Everything was 25% off though, so I got it for $38! That will be a fun one to reimagine!
I found a couple of things I plan on keeping too!
There are three items I plan to redo and keep for staging.
The first one is this chunky stool I picked up for $7.99:
This one may have had an extra discount, but I can’t recall.
I also picked this up for $6.99 to paint and use for staging:
It is super ugly, but I know it will paint up nicely! Sometimes I just want something simple to hang as a backdrop and this is a good size.
And finally, something drew me to this picture:
I’m not sure what I love about it, but I just do! It was $24.95, but I bought it anyway. Painting the frame a simple white will brighten it up.
And that is marathon thrifting at its finest!!
I have a ton of new things to play with!
I’ll be starting with this end table first as my Trash-to-Treasure Tuesday project on Tuesday!
Then, what should I redo next? What are you looking forward to seeing?? Let me know below!
Don’t Miss a Thing!
If you like what you see, there are several ways to follow along!
