Hello, wonderfully supportive cheerleaders!! Y’all are truly the best, and I so appreciate all the love on my last post about finally getting more booth space! Your encouragement means the world to me!
Now that I have more space to keep filled, I need to get to work lol, so I’ve been shopping! Today, I’m sharing the new goodies I found to help with that!
First, here is a photo of everything in this brand new haul that I’m calling my Fill up the Booth Haul:

I’m going to start with several things that have been hanging out in our garage for forever! I don’t know why I keep skipping over them…many of them are flat and have just been buried there in the back leaning against one another.
First up, FOUR mirrors!
This one I picked for $12.99 at the thrift store:

I loved the raised details on it!
Next up is this mirror I found also at the thrift store for $9.98:

I also had this large, heavy mirror buried back there that I picked up at the thrift store marked down from $19.98 to $9.98:

And the final mirror, this one that I picked up easily three summers ago for $8 at a yard sale:

I have been waiting for the right piece to add it to, but that has never happened, so in the pile it went!
Here is another piece that has been hiding with all the mirrors, this picture that I found at the thrift store for $6.99:

Although I do kind of like the artwork, I bought it more for the frame.
One more item that was with the mirrors and that frame above is this clock I paid $12.99 for:

This piece too has been hanging around forever in our garage…

Luckily, everything else still had the prices on the backs, but this basket did not have a price…I know I picked it up at the thrift store, probably for a few dollars.
This birdcage had also been collecting all the dust out there:

It was $6.98.
And this final piece that I dug out of the depths of our garage had only been hanging around for a few months. I found this cork board thingy for half off of $3.99:

I mostly bought it because it was so cheap.
Now for the recent finds!
The sweet young lady who reached out to me to see if I wanted this super cute dresser and nightstand set that I shared last August reached out again to let me know that she had this matching piece to the set available if I was interested:

The original pieces I got from here were in excellent condition and made for an easy makeover, so I went and picked this up the same day for $20. It is pretty basic, but it’s solid wood and very clean.
This next piece I picked up at the thrift store about a month ago for $12.99:

I’m not usually a fan of step tables, but I liked this one for some reason. Plus, that drawer is huge and deep…so great for storage!
New thrift store finds
I went thrifting last week and found several more items, including two flatware boxes. I found this one in pristine condition for $5.99:

And I found this one with the drawer for $4.99:

I also found this weird basket that I love for some reason for $5.99:

I picked up this metal magazine rack for $5.99:

I like to find larger things that can sit on the floor of my booth on their own, if necessary.
I also found this pretty urn for $5.99:

I am always drawn to the detailed pieces!
That includes this dish in the silver plated holder:

I loved that for $5.99 also.
This cute lamp was marked down to $4.98:

I only have one lamp this go, isn’t that odd? I usually have a lot!
I found this steal of a dresser for $25:

Love that, especially for that price!
This green picnic basket was a fun find for $6.98:

It already has a nice liner too!
I just love picnic baskets! This tiny one was the cutest for $3.99:

And then there is this metal chalkboard thingy that was $3.99:

I also added this piece to my haul that was given to me by the awesome lady who gave me the mantel for my booth:

She gave me a couple more things that she was getting rid of that I was able to add to my booth as is. (She knows I have a booth at the antique mall.) But I thought I could make this piece prettier with a little paint…maybe even hang it above the blank space on my shutter wall at the back of my booth since it’s pretty lightweight?
Then, I found a few more things at yard sales.
First up is this bench that had a “make me an offer” sticker on it. I offered $5:

I also found this pitcher for $5:

I got this gaming table for $20:

It has a huge boo boo area on the inside though:

The lady was originally asking $30, but I offered $20…hoping I can magically fix this!

That would be a great piece for Trashy Treasures Tuesday!
And this little bike was a cute find for $3:

That was it for things I could redo for my booth, but those yard sales did yield a few more things I could add to my booth as is!
My final find was from the Habitat Restore. I saw this hutch when we went to find the shutters for my booth last week:

It wasn’t priced at the time, and we had no room in my car once the shutters were loaded anyway, but I went back on Friday and it was still there! It was $79.99, so home with me it came!
I love hutches and this one is such a great, versatile size being a little smaller. Plus, it is in two pieces which makes it much easier to transport.
And that is it for my brand new Fill up the Booth Haul!

This is bigger than the last haul but not quite as big as most others, so I’m hoping to zip right through it! I see a couple of smalls posts in there too!
After all the time spent at my booth moving everything (See that post HERE if you missed it.), I will be taking the rest of the week off from creating to catch up around the house and to get my workspace organized and ready to dive into this new haul!
I will still have this fantastic redo from the archives for you on Thursday:

UPDATE: See how I repurposed this footboard HERE now! (And it’s not a bench!)
Have a fabulous week, and thank you again for all the love!! ❤️
XOXO,

Don’t Miss a Thing!

What a great haul! I can’t wait to see them transformed. That hutch makes me want one but I have no room for it! I’ll just live vicariously through you, pretending I’m redoing it for my house. Lol. The birdcage is cute too. Hmmmm, wonder what you’ll do with that?
????Cecilia
Christy says
Thank you, Cecilia! I love redoing hutches! This one was great since it was a more petite size. And that birdcage won’t take much to make it cute! Have a great week! XOXO
Cyndi says

Christy says
Thank you, Cyndi! I can’t wait either! XOXO

Well I’ve been away for a few weeks (not really away but me and my husband have both been sick). We’re much better and think we had Covid but wasn’t tested. Anyway, went back and looked at your posts for the last few week. As usual I loved everything and excited to see what you do with your latest haul.
Christy says

Christy says
Thank you, Diana! I was surprised that lamp hung around the thrift store long enough to get marked down. Lamps were few and far between this time! XOXO

Nancy K. says
Great finds! Could you do a post about your garage work space? I’d love to see how you set it up so I can make mine more efficient. You’re the best!
Christy says
Thank you, Nancy! I did a post about my workspace a few years ago here: https://www.confessionsofaserialdiyer.com/how-i-finally-got-my-workspace-organized/ I have changed it a bit since then when I got a new workbench one Christmas, but this worked well for a long time! XOXO
Geri Davis says
Ohhh great haul Christy, you have some fun pieces to redo! I love that interesting looking basket.
Have a good week off❤️
Geri from Kansas
Christy says
Thank you, Geri! That basket was very unusual, but I loved it too! XOXO
Marcie Lovett says
Can’t wait to see what you do with this load of goodies, Christy! Funny, at the beginning I thought you must have cleared out the garage so there was room for everything. But it seems there were still some pieces lurking in the back. I bet some of them will be quick projects for you.
I had that same flip-top game table (inspired by a table Eddie Ross painted years ago, then I decided it needed too much work and sold it ????) If you don’t already have a plan, you could unscrew the hinges on the top and flip it over, then paint the damaged part on the outside, have the nice wood inside.
Christy says
Thanks, Marcie! Ha ha I usually do clear just about everything out, but I did have a few lurkers! When this haul is done, I won’t have much hanging around. I love being able to clear everything out before shopping again! And I do have an idea for the table, but that is not a bad idea! I will have to look at it again and see if that is a possibility! XOXO
Caye says
WOW Christy! You must have a large shed to store all those things. That’s quite a haul and I can’t wait to see what you do with it all. Happy remake!
Christy says
Thank you, Caye! I do stack it all back in the garage, as tightly as possible though lol. I leave just enough space to work! XOXO
Nancy Sharp says
Love the things in your latest haul. I look forward to seeing how you restore them. And once again I wish I lived closer to you.????
Christy says
Thank you, Nancy! It will be so fun to redo these knowing that I have plenty of space to sell them now! XOXO
Toni says
I love your hauls and all the possibilities!
Christy says
Thank you, Toni! SO MANY possibilities!! XOXO
Carroll Xavier says
I always love when you get a new haul; so many possibilities, looking forward to the transformations! Really love the white bird cage and the metal picture, two of my favorite things to thrift shop for. Enjoy catching up this week 🙂
Christy says
Thank you, Carroll!! I am always so excited about a new haul also…can’t wait to dive in!! XOXO
Lizzy says
You did well! My favorite is the dish in the silver-plated holder. I’ve been looking for something similar. Good eye!
Christy says
Thanks, Lizzy! I love that so much…so fancy! XOXO
Michele M. says
Christy! That first mirror? I have the exact one. Got it thrifting a few years ago and kept it as-is till one day I decided to strip it and repaint. WELL – um, under all that goodness it is partical board and when I treated it those wonderful raised portions melted off too. Oh my gosh what a MESS it was. I was so upset. I bought some round wooden carved pieces and put them in the corners of the mirror to get that same “feel” and ended up liking it. So I ended up painting it a zillion times and now it seems “solid” enough. In fact just last night I decided I’d paint it again. I was so done with it but it’s been about a year since I painted so I may need to get my paints out again. Thing is I mixed colors and I don’t think it pops enough. Anyway – love your haul. I am so excited to see what you do with “our” mirror. Cuz it’s a bit dated with the crackle paint, but it is cute that way. If I’d known I’d lose the raised bits I’d have just cleaned it and not tried to get down to bare wood. Cuz it sure isn’t wood. Feels like it though, doesn’t it?????
Christy says
Oh no! Okay…so do not try to remove the paint, got it lol! Stripper is such a pain! I think it will just be getting a simple paint refresh, and too really like the crackle so hoping that shows through. It does feel like wood! Thanks, Michele! XOXO
Rose Lefebvre says
I LOVE the hydrangea picture!! Frame is too dark! You have many littles so I look forward to the transformations.
Christy says
I too kind of love the hydrangea picture the more I look at it..I really just bought it for the frame, so we’ll see where that one ends up! I do love having a few smalls….thanks, Rose! XOXO
Marian says
Wow!!!! What a great haul. These things will look great in your “new” booth when you work your magic. I really love the bird cage. I wish I were on the east coast. I would snap that cutie up.
Christy says
Thank you, Marian! I am more excited than ever now that I actually have the space to put these items in my booth! That bird cage is a cutie! XOXO
Gwen says
Oh boy! I can’t wait! Looking forward to seeing what you do with them all, especially the ones I actually own!
Christy says
Yay! I am excited to dive in! A new haul always gives me that excitement, but even more so now that I have so much more space in my booth for everything! XOXO
Deanna Shanti says
I’m very excited to see what you create with this awesome haul! It’ll get me excited to finish some of my own projects!????
Christy says
Yay! I am too and have already gotten started on a few pieces! It is so fun to have a brand new haul to play with! XOXO
Robin says
Yaaayyyy! New hauls are so exciting. Large pieces; small pieces; a variety of pieces. Your booth will be popping if you use different colors…. 😉
Christy says
Right?? I LOVE having a brand new haul…so many options! XOXO
