Hello, amazing friends! Today, since I am still hunting for my next haul, I had planned to recap the last one, but how much fun would that be when you just saw all of these makeovers?? Instead, I decided to go back a couple of years and recap my Fill up the Booth Haul from 2024. But, not only am I sharing each makeover of that round, I’m also sharing what each item sold for in my booth!!
At the time of this haul, I had just gotten more booth space and I needed to fill up that additional space fast! You can read about that HERE. Y’all were so encouraging!
First, here is a photo of everything that was in this Fill up the Booth Haul:

Some of these items were things I had just found, and others were things that had been hanging out in our garage for forever! I wasn’t sure why I kept ignoring them, but many were flat and had just been buried in the back of the garage leaning against one another.
Disclaimer: I put good descriptions on my tags, so I know exactly what sold and for what price, but these were before we had a barcode system that used my description, and the cashiers at the antique mall put whatever description they felt like. So, these are what the items sold for as best as I can tell since I can usually remember about when they sold. It’s a bit harder when they just put “basket” lol. I sell a lot of baskets!
First up, FOUR mirrors!
Thrifty Makeover #1
This one I picked for $12.99 at the thrift store:

I wouldn’t normally pay that much for a thrift store mirror of this size, but I loved the raised details on it.
It got a simple black and gold makeover:

It didn’t last but a few days and sold for $65.00.
See more of this makeover HERE.
Thrifty Makeover #2
Along with that mirror, I also shared this one that I picked up at the thrift store. It had been marked down from $19.98 to $9.98:

Such a fabulous mirror for that price! This one got the opposite look, a simple white:

This mirror ended up selling for $75.
See that one along with the last one HERE.
Thrifty Makeover #3
Next up is this mirror I found at the thrift store for $9.98:

This one had been sitting in the garage for years! I finally redid it to pair with a $5 yard sale desk that I had already taken to my booth:

Thrifty Makeover #4
Which leads me to this bench that had a “make offer” sticker on it at a yard sale. I offered $5, and they accepted:

That is the bench you see above with the mirror, but here is a better look:

Cutie!
And here are both pieces in my booth with the $5 yard sale desk I redid:

See the desk HERE, and check out the mirror and bench HERE.
The desk and bench sold together for $249, but they didn’t take the mirror. The mirror sold a couple of weeks later for $65. I wonder if the same person came back for the mirror?
It was such a fun set thanks to the Champs de Lavende transfer!
Thrifty Makeover #5
And the final mirror, is this one that I picked up easily three years earlier for $8 at a yard sale:

I had been waiting for the right piece to add it to, but it just never happened, so in the pile it went!
I decided to change it up a bit and make it a set:

These were in my booth for forever! I believe I had originally priced them as a set but eventually, I marked them separately. Then they got a markdown this past fall and they both finally sold this January! The shelf sold for $45 and I got $36 for the mirror.
I’m so glad they finally found a home!
See more details of this sweet set HERE.
Thrifty Makeover #6
Here is another piece that had been hiding in our garage with all the mirrors, this picture that I found at the thrift store for $6.99:

Although I did kind of like the artwork, I bought it more for the frame.
I was able to turn it into a much more elegant art piece with the addition of this What a View decoupage paper:

(That paper comes in a set with two more designs.)
See more of this simple makeover HERE!
This sold pretty quickly for $45.
Thrifty Makeover #7
I shared three of the baskets in this haul together in one post. I’ll link to them after I share them.
This one had been hanging around forever in our garage…

Unfortunately, it no longer had the price attached…I know I picked it up at the thrift store, probably for a few dollars.
It got a simple white washed look:

And I ended up keeping it, so I made no money on it ha ha!
Thrifty Makeover #8
Here is the second basket I shared in that post, this very petite picnic style basket I got for $3.99:

This one got a Weeping Willow redo and the addition of this fun froggy transfer that is sadly, no longer available…

This is one of those “basket” sales, but I believe it sold for $30.
Thrifty Makeover #9
And the third basket in this post I just had to bring home for some reason. It was this weird one for $5.99:

I am amazed at what paint can do for a basket like this!

Right? This sold almost right away for $36.
See more of these three baskets HERE.
Thrifty Makeover #10
This birdcage had been collecting all the dust in our garage for ages also…I paid $6.98 for it:

This was part of a painting the smalls post, so I’ll share all of those together and link to them after.
Here is how this one turned out:

I used Sea Spray to add some texture and interest. This one sold for $28.
Thrifty Makeover #11
The final piece that I dug out of the depths of our garage is this cork board thingy I found for half off of $3.99:

I mostly bought it because it was so cheap.
It turned out really sweet though:

I actually spotted it at a vendor’s booth in a local vintage store here:

That made me so happy! Shout out to Maud’s Little Cottage! It sold for $32.
Thrifty Makeover #12
The third piece I shared in that smalls post started out as this cute lamp that was marked down half price to $4.98:

I loved the base, but the bow, not so much. However, I learned that the shade was not removable, so I was stuck with it. Here is how it turned out:

I was really only able to change up the base, but someone loved it because it sold pretty quickly for $24. Probably because I priced it so cheap! Lamps are crazy expensive these days!
Thrifty Makeover #13
I also shared this pretty urn that I picked up for $5.99:

Like most smalls, this also got a simple makeover:

I wish I had kept this one as I loved the detail on it.
It sold for $24.
Thrifty Makeover #14
This next piece was a freebie, given to me by a sweet lady who sometimes saves things for me:

I wasn’t in love with this rusted look, so I just gave it a fresh coat of paint to cover that all up:

I hung it longways, but I could see it above a bed or in the large space above a sofa. I believe this sold for $36.
Thrifty Makeover #15
And the final piece of that smalls post was this clock I got for $9.99:

It too got a simple makeover that did wonders:

This clock was plastic, and I really should have used Bonding BOSS first, but I wasn’t even thinking and went straight to painting! It ended up getting a scratch on it which is how I discovered the paint didn’t adhere so well. I did not want to put this in my booth knowing that the finish wasn’t on there good, so I ended up donating it back to the thrift store. And would you believe I went to that thrift store the next day and spied it in someone’s cart? They got it for $9.99! At least someone still got to enjoy it and my conscience is clear ha ha!
See more of these six smalls HERE!
Thrifty Makeover #16
The sweet young lady who reached out to me to see if I wanted this super cute dresser and nightstand set reached out again to let me know that she had this matching piece to the set available if I was interested:

The original pieces I got from her were in excellent condition and made for easy makeovers, so I went and picked this up the same day for $20. It is pretty basic, but it’s solid wood and very clean.
I gave it a bit of glam with the Perfume Notes transfer and the Intricate Grace decor poly pieces:

This dresser sold for $295.
See more of this makeover HERE.
Thrifty Makeover #17
This next piece I picked up at the thrift store for $12.99:

I’m not usually a fan of step tables, but I loved this one for some reason. It had lots of pretty details, plus that drawer was huge and deep…so great for storage!
Here is how it looked when I was done with it:

That Majestic Flourish mould was a sweet addition to the front.
This sold for $169.
See more of this super cute makeover HERE.
Thrifty Makeover #18
Next up is this flatware box I found in pristine condition for $5.99:

This got a pretty new look with the help of Dixie Belle’s Chinoiserie Rice Decouapage Paper and a couple of gold accents:

This was priced at $45, but it was a vendor who bought it, so it went for $40.
See the inside HERE.
Thrifty Makeover #19
I also found this flatware box but with a drawer, which I prefer, and this one was only $4.99:

It got a more neutral update with the Pastels Artistry Maxi transfer:

I believe I shipped this one to one of my sweet readers! It would have been priced in the mid to upper 40’s.
See more of this pretty redo HERE.
Thrifty Makeover #20
The next six makeovers were part of a Painting the Smalls: The Metal Edition post. I’ll share the link to them all after.
(Unlike the clock I failed on earlier, I prepped most of these metal pieces with Bonding BOSS which is for adhesion as well stain blocking.)
I picked up this metal magazine rack for $5.99:

A simple white redo did wonders:

This sold for $32.
(I like pieces like this that can sit on the floor of my booth on their own, if necessary.)
Thrifty Makeover #21
I am always drawn to the detailed pieces! That includes this dish in the silver plated holder that was also $5.99:

It got a simple white makeover as well with the addition of a transfer on the bottom:

This also sold for $32.
Thrifty Makeover #22
This pitcher was a $5 yard sale find:

It got a much prettier look, although it probably won’t be filling water glasses any longer:

Cute, right? I wish Redesign still made this set of mini transfers!
This sold for $18.
Thrifty Makeover #24
This little bike was a cute yard sale find for $3:

This one got some dry brushing with what looks like Vintage Duck Egg Blue…

I love the “patina” look it gives! This sold quickly for $18.
Thrifty Makeover #25
I was short two metal pieces for that round of smalls, so I pulled two from my stash that weren’t originally part of this haul. One of them was this metal rack that was half off of $3.99:

Remember before the pandemic when you could find things at the thrift store for $2-$3 all the time?
Paint worked miracles on this one!

It sold for $28.
Thrifty Makeover #26
The other metal piece I pulled to put with this smalls round was this metal lamp I had hanging around for ages. It was $6.98:

It got a much softer look by painting in Driftwood and adding a new shade I picked up on clearance for $12:

This lamp sold for $45.
Visit all of those metal smalls in one post HERE!
Thrifty Makeover #27
Thrifty makeover #27 is this fun find for $6.98:

What I liked about it is it already had a liner, so I stuck with the green:

This one took a bit to sell, so it was difficult to tell which “basket” this one was, but I believe it sold for $38.
Thrifty Makeover #28
Next up is this steal of a dresser I found for $25:

It got one of my favorite elements…stripes!

I loved this one!
This dresser sold for $325.
See the whole makeover HERE.
Thrifty Makeover #29
I got this gaming table at a yard sale for $20:

It has a huge boo boo area on the inside though.
The lady was originally asking $30, but I offered $20…hoping I could magically fix this!

And I did!

This table sold for $169.
See how I fixed the inside HERE.
Thrifty Makeover #30
My final find was from the Habitat Restore. I saw this hutch when we went to find the shutters for the back wall of my newly expanded booth:

It wasn’t priced at the time, and we had no room in my car once the shutters were loaded anyway, but I went back a few days later and it was still there! It was $79.99, so home with me it came!
I love hutches and this one is such a great, versatile size being a little smaller. Plus, it is in two pieces which makes it much easier to transport.
Here is the final look of this one:

This one is all Silk Mineral paint and I loved the freshness it added to my booth! This one ended up selling for $349.
I’m excited that I found two more hutches for my new haul! They always paint up so pretty!
And that is all the before and afters of this haul, including what each item sold for!
I get a lot of requests to share what items ended up selling for, so there ya go! I hope y’all enjoyed this one!
Have a fabulous week, dear friends, and I’ll see you on Thursday with this reshare:

UPDATE: See this gorgeous console table HERE now if you missed it!

Oh so fun to look back and see all the beauty you create! Not bad prices either considering they are buying a orginial piece of art that nobody else will have an exact match! It is one of a kind pieces that I look for to go into my home! I am proud to say that I have a couple of works of art in my home that are Christy originals that I get compliments on all the time! I love both of them still as much as the day I bought them from you!!
Christy says
I’m so glad you enjoyed the look back, my friend! I too love that you have two pieces of mine, especially the kettle as I really loved that one too, and I am so happy you still enjoy them! XOXO
Robin says
WOW, well THAT was fun! Loved learning the prices for which your items sold. Do you print your staged pictures that you show us here on this platform and put near the item you’re selling in your booth? You have great ideas and the staged piece(s) always make the item look so tempting. 🤷🏼♀️💞 Good job!!
Christy says
I’m so glad you enjoyed this one, Robin, thank you!! I have printed the staged photos in the past for pieces that took a bit to sell. I think that really does help! XOXO
Jackie C says
this was a great post. I have always wondered what your items bring. Now I’m really sad though 😭! They are all priced SO reasonably! A good thing I don’t live near your booth, I guess, or my house would end up looking like your booth 😂
thanks for sharing and have a great week
Christy says
Thank you, my friend! I always feel like the furniture is priced really cheap compared to what things cost new, but I am still making a decent profit. I’m just glad things move lol! XOXO
Cecilia says
That was a fun peek into your booth business. Thanks for sharing! How fun to spot one of your pieces in another shop, too. Have a great week, my friend!
😊Cecilia
Christy says
I’m glad you enjoyed it, Cecilia! And yes, that was so funny to see that little sign while shopping. I also saw a chalkboard sign that I made by combining a lamp base and a frame years ago at a booth in The Painted Tree, but I never took a photo. Enjoy your week too! XOXO
Betty says
I love that you did this. I have a shop about 50 minutes away and it really helps and inspires me! Thank you! 😊
Christy says
Oh awesome! I’m so glad you found this helpful, Betty! Thank you! XOXO

Christy says
I’m glad you enjoyed it, Christine! It took quite a bit of digging to track down each sale, but I may keep better track now for the future so I can share again with another haul! XOXO
Cyndi says
I’m so glad you shared this. I have been meaning to ask what kind of prices your things are selling for these days, but kept forgetting to. This is helpful, and I enjoyed seeing all these pretty things again!
Christy says
I’m glad you enjoyed it, Cyndi! Thank you! I know…it’s hard because everyone has raised their prices on everything and I just don’t feel like I can do that lol! XOXO
Margie says

Very enjoyable to read post, Christy. I have often wondered that very thing.
I think you do a tremendous job with everything you paint – and I will always wish you great success in your booth. You work very hard and are very talented and deserve that success! Hugs!
Christy says
Thank you, Michele! I love that you enjoyed it! I appreciate your kind words and encouragement so much, my friend! XOXO
Caye says
Christy, I LOVE that you shared these pieces and what they sold for! I can’t believe that the bicycle didn’t sell for more! I remember so many of these from when you were working on them.
It’s too bad that some of your items were not described well. Can you put some type of ID on each price tag (a number/or letters) that would be put onto the sales sheet? They do that at an antique store I frequent, so the seller knows which item sold. It might require keeping a log of your items, but it might help.
Thanks again my friend, for all your inspirations!
Christy says
I’m so glad you enjoyed it, Caye!! I probably could have gotten more for the little bike, but it was quite small. When something sells really quickly, I always say “dang it, should’ve priced it higher” to myself lol. My antique mall now uses barcodes, so I am able to input my own description when I make the labels, so then when the barcode gets scanned, it logs the item exactly as I described it. That started at the end of 2024, and this was just before that. Thank goodness…it’s so much better! XOXO
Liz Shivel says
Hi Christy, thanks for sharing the Before & After and Bought & Sold on these! So amazing to see your beautiful work and that you share your info about all of these. Today is my birthday, so if I wasn’t in California, I’d treat myself to shop in your booth! 😊 Laila & Luci send their meows to you and Layla. 🐈
Christy says
Hi Liz and HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!! You are welcome! I’m glad you enjoyed these. Tell the girls thank you and you enjoy the rest of your birthday, my friend!! XOXO
Janice Redden says
Christy, this was such a fun look back! Your pieces are beautiful, as well as creatively reimagined, making them extra special and priced to reflect their uniqueness. I know what you mean about the cashiers noting that you sold a “basket” or “bench”…Lol….
I always look forward to Tuesdays and Thursdays …favorite part of my morning.
Christy says
Thank you so much, Janice! Yes…I often wondered why I even bothered adding a description at all ha ha. Thank goodness we have a barcode system now! I love that you look forward to my posts…that makes me SO happy!! XOXO
Januna says
This was fun to see. For all the time, product, clever design, effort and energy you put into your pieces, your prices are very reasonable.
Thanks for sharing this! It was fun.
Christy says
Thank you, Janina! I do feel like I could get more for my furniture, but I am glad to keep things moving. I’m so glad you enjoyed this one! XOXO
