Mirror turned Chalkboard

Hello amazing friends! I have another makeover to share with ya'll from this pile of goodies I picked up last Saturday: It's this mirror I scored for $4.98: If you missed what I did with the baskets, see them HERE. I had passed it up twice before since the mirror in it was so heavy. Then when I saw it last Saturday, it had been marked down again and it occurred to me that it would make a fantastic chalkboard! Don't you think? This wall is in our kitchen and I knew I … [Read more...]

80’s Chalkboard Update

Hello awesome Friends! If you read about my booth on Thursday, then you might have been expecting to see a suitcase makeover today. Yeah about that...sometimes things don't always go as planned. Let's just say that project is still a work in progress! Instead I am sharing how I updated this little 80's gem: I'm assuming 80's but I don't think any other decade will take credit for those hearts. My booth is stocked as far as furniture goes for now, but it is really low on the smalls. I … [Read more...]

If you follow me on my Facebook Page, you may have seen me thrifting when I was supposed to be Christmas shopping he he. I found this super cute lamp marked down to 99¢: And yes, that table was a mere 99¢ as well, so of course I brought that home too! I had to ask, sure that it was a mistake, but nope! I always keep … [Read more...]

Antique Mirror Repurposed

Welcome lovely Friends to day #4 of my March Madness, 31 Thrifty Makeovers in 31 Days series! I shared a peek of this antique mirror I found at the thrift store in yesterday's post: These old mirrors are SUPER heavy and the back was falling out, but for $9.98 I snapped it up. After I painted the frame I went to clean up the mirror to put it back in, and it was so scratched. Basket Upcycle

Hi friends! Welcome to day 15 of my March Madness, 31 Thrifty Makeovers in 31 days series! We are just about at the halfway mark and I still have a bunch of thrifty makeovers coming your way. Today I am sharing how I upcycled this little basket: I found it at the thrift store for $1.25. It was probably donated because one of the handles was coming unraveled. I came up with an easy fix, but first it got a new paint job. (You know I can't ever leave well enough alone.) Adding jute … [Read more...]
