Hello amazing friends! I have a fun post to share today! I was originally planning to share what I did with a few frames from my Shop my own Garage Haul, but I wasn’t able to get them done in time with all the rain and wind that we’ve gotten from this tropical storm coming up the East coast.
So I decided to dig through my archives and share 15 ordinary items that I’ve repurposed into something brand new!
It’s always fun to look back and I hope you enjoy it too!
Visit any of these projects at the links below the after pictures!
First up is this set of frames that I almost put out for my annual yard sale a few years ago:
I had originally purchased them to turn into trays, but they were a bit on the small side for a tray. Then, just before my yard sale, I had an idea!
I decided to pair them with a couple of candle sticks to turn them into a super cute cupcake stand!
How cute would this be at a shower or birthday party?
Up next is this drawer that belonged to a Craig’s List table I regretted buying. It was in terrible condition and I didn’t have the heart to not buy it once I showed up to look at it. I ended up ditching the table but kept this drawer:
It took a while to find inspiration for this one, but one day, I just decided to cut the thing in half!
With these jars I picked up at the Target dollar spot, it became a super cute holder of things!
That was the last time I ever bought anything from Craig’s List!
I removed these scraps from a coffee table that I redid for our living room:
I was able to repurpose them into the sides for this cute tote:
The next time you see one of these wooden inboxes at the thrift store, you might think twice about passing it by:
With the addition of poplar strips to the bottom and two sweet pulls for handles to the sides, this $2 find became a fantastic little tray!
Thrift stores are overrun with these dated TV cabinets. This one was petite enough that I decided to save it!
I removed the TV parts and added shelving to create a storage armoire!
This large frame had gorgeous details and was only $4! I rarely pass up a good deal on a beautiful frame!
Adding one of my favorite fabrics to a thrift store cork board that I cut to fit, turned this frame into a beautiful place to hang precious mementos or important reminders:
I almost always pick up flatware boxes when I see them, especially when they’re only $2:
Even this super plain box has a ton of potential! This one might be my favorite one that I’ve redone.
This cabinet door was left over from our old kitchen and I am really surprised my Hubby didn’t toss it in the move to our new house:
We had to replace the cabinets above our fridge with shorter ones after replacing our fridge and we had two of these. This was about the easiest repurpose ever!!
This next repurpose started as these two small drawers that I picked up for a dollar each at the thrift store:
I cut these down to turn them into cute Spring arrangements:
This next project is one of my favorite repurposed pieces! I had this leaf that I removed from a drop leaf table:
I cut it lengthwise and added a set of $2 thrift store corbels to turn it into a brand new shelf!
The other leftover leaf was cut to make a surround for this drawer I found at the thrift store:
This next project started out as this headboard that I got for a steal at just $7!
Isn’t that insane?
I added the legs from a thrift store chair and built the rest to turn it into a one-of-a-kind bench!
This is actually still in my booth. It is quite large!
Up next is this very petite tray that sat in my stash for years:
The paint was chipping off and although the painting on this was lovely, I came up with another idea for it that turned it into something I could really use.
It was the perfect size to use as a number plaque for our house:
The numbers that were on our house before were so wimpy, so this was perfect!
This next repurposed project started out as this drawer that came off of a dresser that ended up getting moldy. I was able to save the drawer pulls and this top drawer:
Adding a couple different kinds of hardware helped turn it into a cute piece to display necklaces:
This footboard is another piece that I had held onto for way too long!
One side looked like it had been glued back together one too many times and the routed out design was throwing me off. By flipping it over and pairing it with a curbside shelf, I was able to make a much nicer shelf:
This was a small but pretty frame I found at the thrift store for less than $2:
It became a sweet new tray!
We made it to our 15, but how about just a couple more?
This headboard was already white when I found it at the thrift store:
Of course you know I turned it into a bench!
We’ll round out this group with a more recent flatware box I picked up for $5:
I love when they have drawers! This one got a classic black and white makeover!
With a fun surprise inside!
Repurposing is one of my favorite things ever!!
I hope you enjoyed looking back at these with me!

I’ll be back on Tuesday sharing these frames I was suppose to share today:
Rain is still expected for the next three days, but I hope to get them completed!
UPDATE: The weather was kind and they are done woot woot! See them HERE now! 🙂
Have an amazing weekend and stay well!
Don’t Miss a Thing!
