Hello amazing friends! Who’s up for another chair makeover today? I couldn’t believe that when I counted all the chairs in this haul, that I had seven of them! This is the seventh and final chair makeover of the bunch!
It was a deal at only $5 at the thrift store:
I loved the shape of it and knew it would paint up so cute! I’ve included a few affiliate links so you can find the products I love.
Next, I popped open my small spray shelter and gave this chair a quick spray of Rustoleum spray primer:
This smaller shelter is great for smaller items, but barely held this chair. The medium sized one I used on Tuesday is quite a bit larger. I mentioned on Tuesday that with chairs, and many small things also, I like to give a quick spray with primer just to get a quick coat of paint on. That reduces the number of coats of paint I will need to brush on, which is a great time-saver!
I decided to keep this one simple, and I knew I wanted to paint it a pretty aqua color. I mixed a couple of colors before that gave me a beautiful shade of blue, but instead of finding that post and looking up the amounts I used of each, I just started pouring.
I love the resulting color! This is just one coat over the primer:
We were having a new HVAC installed this week, and the guys were in and out of my workspace in the garage, so I ended bringing this chair into my office to paint. I loved having a warm space to work in!
I used my shop vac and the brush attachment to remove the sanding dust:
The sponge works so well on those spindles that would be very awkward with a brush.
You should get many uses out of one sponge. I just clean mine by rinsing well with warm water. Then I squeeze out the excess water with a paper towel and allow it to air dry before putting it away.
This little cutie didn’t need anything more!
A simple paint job can do wonders!
I distressed it in all the right places to reveal both the white beneath and some of the wood.
This would be super cute in the corner of a bathroom to hold towels or your clean clothes while you shower.
I absolutely love this custom color mix!
I mixed almost a whole 16oz jar, so you will definitely see this one again!
I hope ya’ll enjoyed this simple makeover today!
And that is the last of the chairs!
Here are the other six from this haul if you’d like to revisit any:
