Hello sweet Friends! Are y’all up for a little furniture flip? How about five of them? Today I’m teaming up with my Furniture Fixer Upper Friends, so be sure to check out the furniture pieces they are reviving at the bottom of this post!
I found these pretties at the Habitat Restore a few weeks ago:
They had just been put out on the floor, and hadn’t even been priced yet when I saw them. When I asked a salesperson about the price, she said $25 each and then tried to convince me they were worth that. Well I didn’t need any convincing; I thought they were a steal at that price and quickly grabbed them up!
I love pretty much anything French Provincial.
It looked as though one of them may have been in front of a window as it was quite a bit lighter than its mate, and the other had a little hiccup on the top:
So I decided right away that no tears would be shed if I painted them:
I thought a two-toned look would play up those pretty panels. I’ve included a few affiliate links so you can find the products I use.
I started by painting the entire table in Bit of Sugar by Behr made into DIY chalk paint. (Find recipe with video HERE.) Then I mixed one part Annie Sloan’s French Linen with two parts Bit of Sugar for contrast.
I lightly sanded all the edges with 220 grit sandpaper and sealed with Annie Sloan’s clear soft wax.
These look pretty in my office. I should have kept one for in here!
I lined the drawers in leftover fabric from my desk bulletin board…
To cut the fabric for these drawers, I laid the fabric right-side-down, centered the pattern where I wanted it, and used a pencil to trace around the edges:
Then I cut the pieces using my rotary cutter and cutting mat (find the one I have HERE):
I used Matte Mod Podge to adhere the fabric to the bottom, brushing it on the bottom with an old brush.
Then I just added the fabric.
There is no need to add another layer of MP over the top.
I kept the original hardware but gave it a couple of coats of Rustoleum spray paint in Satin White.
What happened to the other table, you ask?
Twins!
These are now available in my booth for anyone that is local, along with that lamp that I shared HERE.
Don’t forget to check out what my Furniture Flippin Friends made over today as well!
I finally started tackling the rest of my dining room chairs yesterday. Hoping to have those finished by the weekend. I’m so excited that things are coming together!
I’ll be back on Tuesday sharing a sneak peek at what I used for my feature wall in my office, and I’ll follow up on Thursday with the full feature wall reveal!
UPDATE: Check out the full reveal of my office wall HERE now!
Have a great weekend! 🙂
XOXO,
Don’t Miss a Thing!
If you like what you see, there are several ways to follow along!

I ALWAYS enjoy your blog because you have excellent taste in make-overs..you know just what to do and what color. It looks SO good when you “style it” for your “after” pictures,…beside your furniture. I wonder how you can sell it? Can’t wait to get the full “tour” of your dining room, family room and office.
Christy says
Aww thank you so much, Sherry! I have to admit, the styling part is my favorite! And yes is very hard to let things go sometimes, especially when I’m still trying to furnish my new house! XOXO
Cecilia says

Those turned out beautiful. What color is Bit of Sugar?
Christy says
Thanks, Marisa! Bit of Sugar is white, but it is not stark white. It is one of my favorites for painting furniture white. 🙂
