$2 Thrift Store Flatware Box Makeover

Hello lovelies!! I'm back today sharing how I updated this flatware box: The title suggests it was only $2, but it was actually marked $3.25. However all green tags were half price the day I found this, so it was even cheaper...$1.63! It would have been weird to put that in the title. In fact, the only reason I picked this up is because it was so cheap! Some of the flatware boxes I come across are just beautiful, but there is nothing fancy about this one at all. I'm so glad I bought … [Read more...]

Drop Leaf Side Table Makeover

Hello sweet friends!! Can I tell you how relieved I am that I finally finished that dang drop-leaf table? So I had planned to share this pretty piece on Thursday: Unfortunately I ran into major issues with the paint job on top. I had painted the entire piece with one coat of DIY chalk paint using a flat black paint my Hubby had picked up for another project. I decided it wasn't quite black enough, so I followed up with a coat of leftover Country Chic Paint I had on hand. The only … [Read more...]

Painted Bar Stools

Hey there, awesome Friends! I have a sweet makeover for ya'll today! I'm sharing how I updated these inexpensive bar stools I found for $5 each at two different yard sales: Can I tell you how thrilled I am that I finally did something with these things? They've been taking up valuable real estate in my garage for at least two years. Now they are updated and fresh with their beautiful new paint job: I mean who knew those ho-hum builder grade bar stools could be so … [Read more...]

Antique Cabinet Makeover {& an Alternative to Replacing the Glass Door Panel}

Do ya'll love chocolate as much as I do? There are few things I love more, but how about as a theme for a furniture makeover? Today my furniture flippin friends and I are all sharing furniture makeovers inspired by chocolate. Say what? A few weeks ago I spied an antique cabinet at the DAV thrift store near my house. It was $79 and probably totally worth that, but the door was missing the glass and didn't close real smoothly so I passed. I went back a week later and it was marked to $49! I … [Read more...]

Drop Cloth Rosette Stool {Best of the Archives}

My Trash to Treasure Tuesday pals and I are at it again! Today's reshare was created as part of a … [Read more...]

Curbside Suitcase Makeover

That's right, no shame here. I sure DID pick up a suitcase off of someone's curb. In fact, I picked up two! I was taking my Mom home the other day and happened through the neighborhood I grew up in when I spied these two lovelies sitting out for the trash: I'm sure these were all the rage back in the day. I quickly threw them in my car and was on my way. Today is Trash to Treasure Tuesday and I had another project in mind, but I really wanted to play around with my new luggage. (Plus … [Read more...]

Petite Paris Side Tables

Welcome...I have a cute makeover for you today! My Mom had these two petite side tables in her attic that she had painted and stenciled a while ago. She never was happy with the results and offered them to me to redo for my booth. Of course I'll take them! Here they are with their stencil: Not terrible, but for this to work the stencil needed to be oval. And not brown. After I sanded the stencil away and repainted the top, I decided to give these sweet antique tables a French … [Read more...]
