Hotel Headboard Repurposed

Hello beautiful friends! Today I'm sharing what I did with a headboard that has been hanging around my stash since the end of 2014: That would be almost four years! I came across a large stack of these at a thrift store and they were all marked...ready for it...$3.49!! Here is the tag from one of them: A nearby hotel must have been doing some updating and donated several of these. I bought three of them. I redid the first one back in 2015, and the other two have been sitting in our … [Read more...]

Kids’ Table and Chairs Makeover

Amazing Friends, I finally finished the little table and chair set I brought home from my booth to redo! That set has been in my booth for well over a year and I just could not figure out why it hadn't sold. Here it is as I found it: I found the chairs for only $5 for the pair at one thrift store, then a few months later, I found the table to complete the set at another. Lucky, huh? Here is a peek at their first redo: You can see the whole first makeover HERE. I just loved … [Read more...]

Tray Table Makeover

Hello amazing friends!!  Up for a makeover today? Always, right?? Me too! I shared a preview of today's makeover on Thursday. It's this tray table I found at the thrift store for $10: When I bought it, it was flattened and taped together like this: I really had no idea what it was exactly, I just knew it had a nice sized tray with it. The stand was just a bonus! I've included a few affiliate links so you can find the products I use and love. Here it is after a little … [Read more...]

Dated Little Rocker Makeover

Hello amazing friends! Can I tell you how nice it is to have the freedom to dig to through my pile and pick something to make over, and not feel like I should be doing something house-related? This is the first time I have felt that freedom since moving in back in August, and it feels so good! My pick for today is this dated little rocker I picked up at the thrift store for $5 just before the holidays: Harvest gold velvet hasn't been in fashion in 40 years so I'm pretty sure this … [Read more...]

Wooden Box Update

Hello lovely Friends! I'm back today with a quick little makeover for ya'll.  There's a thrift store by my Mom's house that I always stop in whenever I'm out that way. That's the same store where I found my 99¢ table. When I stopped in there last week, I found a few small things: The little pitcher was my favorite find. I can always use a pretty white pitcher. All of these were on the clearance...does it get any better than clearance at the thrift store?? (No. The answer is no.) Today … [Read more...]

Vintage Coffee Table Makeover

Hello Awesome Friends! Are ya'll up for a makeover today? I'm actually sharing a makeover of a makeover ha ha! This is the second makeover for this rather dated coffee table: I originally found this at a yard sale for $15. One of our themes for Themed Furniture Thursday at that time was "Pottery Barn Knock-offs", and this was a bit similar to the Tivoli coffee table by PB, so it got  a sleek black makeover: I had decided that I would share this for TFT then paint it white and … [Read more...]

Coastal Tray Makeover

Hi Friends! Are you up for a thrifty makeover today? I found this super large oval tray at the thrift store  a few weeks back. This thing is really big! It was $12, but I just had to bring it home: This was gorgeous at one time, but had really started to show its age, so I decided to give it a completely new look: Doesn't even look like the same tray, right? I painted the tray in a mix of Annie Sloan's French Linen and Pure White. Then I created this graphic in Photoshop … [Read more...]

Numbered Tray

Hi sweet Friends! I'm back today as promised sharing what I did with this tray I found for $5 at the thrift store: I can't even tell you how long this has been hanging around my garage! When I did my super cleaning a few weeks ago, I found it again. Our Get Your DIY On theme this month is Numbered and Lettered projects so I knew this would be a great candidate for this challenge: I decide to fill the bottom with random numbers! I love how it turned out! I created … [Read more...]
