Welcome back, beautiful friends! Today I’m sharing how I brightened up this cute glass cabinet I found at the thrift store for $10 not too long ago:
If busting out a bold new hue on Tuesday threw you off, you’ll be happy to know that I’m back to my old shenanigans again!
I wanted a bright white look for this one:
I’ve included a few affiliate links so you can find the products I love.
This one got two coats of Dixie Belle Cotton:
I taped off the glass with FrogTape since I was unable to remove it. I removed the tape as soon as I applied the second coat, while the paint was still wet.
When the paint was dry, I sanded liberally to get a really distressed look for this piece and sealed with Dixie Belle’s Clear Coat in Satin using their sponge to apply it. Don’t forget you get FREE SHIPPING on all orders over $50 using the code: FREESHIP50 at checkout in my shop. All orders under $50 are a flat $8 for shipping.
To add fabric to the back, I made a pattern with paper first:
I attached the fabric the same way I attach it to the insides of drawers or the front of drawer panels, using matte Mod Podge as a glue.
This fabric started out as a set of curtain panels I found at TJ Maxx or Homegoods a while back. I love that it is has a pattern, but it’s still neutral.
This would be perfect for displaying the smallest of treasures!
What would you use it for?
Crossing off more projects never gets old!!
If you missed any of these makeovers, you can catch up or revisit them below:
I’ll be back next week with my Trash-to-Treasure girls sharing a new purpose for this cabinet door:
UPDATE: See how I repurposed this cabinet door HERE now!
I’ll leave ya’ll with this sweet moment I caught on camera of Jack and Lyla:
She is doing well aside from some eye issues for which she is on antibiotics. She has a follow-up tomorrow, so hoping for good news. She is the sweetest ever!
Have an amazing weekend!
Don’t Miss a Thing!
If you like what you see, there are several ways to follow along!
